How truly blessed we are that these fine people are not only impeccable artists, but are also willing to give us this private concert! I love the confidence these two wonderful performers have in each other.
Слушаю первый раз. Восторг и восхищение!!! Прекрасная музыка! Гениальное исполнение!!! Благодарю, браво, браво, браво!!! Музыканты~ от Бога, особенно виолончелистка! Браво!
Thank you for great performance! I'm fascinated. Personally, this was my first time listening to this piece and I was a little surprised because it sounded a bit like Rachmaninoff to me.
This cello is the 1717 Sradivarius " Bonamy Dobré-Suggia", strung with gut strings. This cello was played , among others, by cellist Guilhermina Suggia.
Hervorragend! Die beste Interpretation, die ich hier finden konnte. Echtes kammermusikalisches Zusammmenspiel. Die wichtige Cellostimme ist immer deutlich zu hören. Ein anstrengendes Werk, selbst für den Zuhörer.
I think it is from about 1880-1890 and as someone commented in sonata nr 1 it comes from Julius Blüthners Piano Fabric. A different sound from todays Steinway. Different but not bad at all. It is interesting to follow the developement of piano sound through history.

Outstanding performance, both musicians are fantastic! Bravi! And of course, Mendelssohn is a genius composer, definitely one of the immortals.
Fantastic, what else to say. Important to support artists of this calibre, brilliant!

My favorite musicians are Gabetta on cello, Hilary Hahn on violin, and Lim HyunJeong on piano. Their playing wakes me up.
Magnificent.
Gloria a Dios 🙏🎻👏👏
absolutely brilliant. intense emotions and delight
멘델스존의 챌로곡이 이렇게나 멋있을거라 미처 생각하지 못했네요, 정말 멋진 연주와 음악입니다.
That cello has a gorgeous tone!

Great playing! If somebody knows anything about this old piano I am an eager listener.

And here's Chamayou making it look like the easiest thing in the world.
Why can't new composers today write beauitufl melodies like this?
Weil wir in einer anderen Gegenwart leben
Indeed.😊

The piano it's a blüthner from 1859
Not so far from the instruments used by Mendelssohn, then
Très belle interprétation avec ces deux pointures!❤❤❤❤❤
