Just what I needed this morning. Bedbugs kept me up all night at hotel for 3 nights. Finally got a room without bedbugs but there was a crazy woman beating on my wall all night long, so... no sleep. Sitting on a chair under an awning on a cool, slightly breezy day, listening to this, and fallinggggg azleeeeeppp.... 😴

Wow! What a find! So used to his Symphonies, Overtures and solo piano works..... this cello was played so beautifully and gracefully! Need to catch up with more of his sonatas! BOTH Mendelssohn siblings never fail to amaze me..... Bravo to the performers. Thanks, Brilliant Classics!
Wunderschöne und lebhafte Interpretation dieser romantischen und fein oder perfekt komponierten Variationen und Sonaten im veränderlichen Tempo mit mildem doch gut phrasiertem Ton des historisch wertvollen Violoncellos und klar artikuliertem doch elegantem Klang des technisch fehlerlosen Klaviers. Der intime und perfekt entsprechende Dialog zwischen den beiden Virtuosen ist wahrlich eindrucksvoll. Faszinierend vom Anfang bis zum Ende!
