      Thanks Rob!
      Was disappointed it wasn't in the tab, took ages to figure it out myself

      Sascha Bang Yeah you could! Start slow, get the movement and technique down, and gradually build it. Lots of practice will get you there

      Loved it when you did it on your video. You play on and... hmm somethings wrong. I treat it like some easter egg so in this video it's even cooler. So great sound. Props.

      Tristan Corbellari Lets put it this way,
      This wasn't done in the first take, and I saw the battery was running low on the camera.
      The pressure was almost too much

    At the beginning of the solo, I think you pick tap the string over the pickups? What's that called, and how does one do it?

    • @ryanbruton7284
      @ryanbruton7284  9 років тому

      Ryan Lawrence I honestly have no idea what it's called!
      But yes, you strike the string with the edge of the pick, if you watch you can see it's easiest to curl your hand towards your wrist and use that edge of the pick.
      You should be able to hear something like the high note in this solo. It works very similar to tapping.
      Keep practicing and you'll get it! Need any help let us know, good luck!

      As soon as I commented I grabbed my guitar and tried it and it was a lot easier than I thought lol. I've been playing the solo in Prince of Darkness with a slide but I think this technique will be much easier.

      Ryan Lawrence Ryan Bruton It's just a good ol' fashioned harmonic

      Tyler Hackett Pinch harmonics to be specific.
