Watching Bryan and Renee interact is like watching a chaotic brother & sister working together. Even if they're just entertaining themselves, they'll just be able to bring the best out of each other.
If Bryan didn’t marry Brie, I think Renee and Bryan would’ve been together because they look like they are made for each other and have tremendous chemistry with each other.
Also the best thing that ever came out of the Miz. He's a great talker and a competent worker, but WWE have put him in so many comedy segments that no one buys into him anymore.
Bryan is the kind of guy who will have a talk about how he can get back on the card with the other guy agreeing to take a punch for him and then end up changing course completely to give the other guy the heat instead. What a class act.
Part of why the Smackdown Live! era was so good was in part because of Talking Smack. Of course, we have the Miz, but we also have Daniel Bryan making matches and listening to pitches, we have characters who never had talking time show off their personalities... thinking on it, where would the Bloodline be if we didn't have the Usos as semi-regular guests opening up and showing us just how good they are on the mic? Pre-Talking Smack? Face-paint and no promos. During Talking Smack? Promo time, new look, new merch, new theme, new attitude.
The Smackdown Live era of WWE really should've been Miz's coronation as a world champion with a proper heel run. His promos were on fire. He was the strongest workhorse of the company behind John Cena until he left for Hollywood. It was the perfect time to pull the trigger for him then. I am pissed he was made into a transitional-champion during the Covid-era when he cashed in and took the title off of Mcyntire so that Bobby Lashley could win it 2 weeks later. Not to discredit Bobby Lashley and what was a long time coming for him, the Hurt Business was an amazing faction and that alone is another topic of discussion. But for the moment where Miz won his 2nd world title, that wasn't what it should've been.
Miz has said that he was trying to get Bryan to punch him but he never to my knowledge "let the cat out of the bag" about the fact that it was planned by them to go that way.
if you ever wondered what professional looks like, there it is. the reason I say that is because even though Mike and he don't get along (a known thing even before the famous segment) there was enough 1) trust and 2) respect to literally say the only "scripted" part was Bryan hitting Mike. there were zero lies from both men in that segment and again even though they don't like each other, Bryan made sure that Mike got over the heat he needed. that is being a true professional.

The best part of the Miz moment was that Danielson was right. Miz is a boring wrestler, he doesn't have entertaining matches ever, but Miz is a phenom on the mic and can turn "you're boring" into something that makes him look good. Both ended up coming out looking great.
Yeah, he turned “boring” into “safe”. Which was very smart because it basically says “yeah, but maybe if you had been a little more ‘boring’ you’d be out there wrestling and not stat at this desk”
