I recommend buying every new bride, bachelor or bachelorette a Crockpot as a gift. It's a great way for new cooks to make hearty meals with limited cooking experience. I was one of those people when I received a Crockpot as a wedding shower gift. It launched a life long appreciation for slow cooking. These easy 2 ingredient recipes are perfect for beginners (as well as us older cooks) Thanks Julia!
I made sure my oldest had a small crockpot (amongst other kitchen utensils and gadgets) when he got his first apartment after he graduated high school. He took his bedroom furniture and I house warmed him furniture for his front room and bathroom necessities.
My mom started using a crockpot when, they came out in the 70s but, only used it for only for sloppy joes! Thank goodness we came farther along with it, I always like to always have at least 2 or 3 and, small ones are great when, you’re 10:15 cooking fresh veggies for one 2 servings!

These are great for summer! I’ve been making the pot roast w/ pepperocinis for years. I add a packet of zesty Italian dressing mix & we make sandwiches out of the, I use hoagie rolls, toast them with a little garlic butter and then add provolone or mozzarella. Toasting the rolls helps keep them from falling apart with the juices.

Love the salsa and enchilada chicken recipes especially since I eat tons of chicken. I don’t normally buy drumsticks but the recipes here look really good and I will need to try them now. Thanks to your inspiration, I’ve been using my crockpot almost as much as my instant pot!! It saved me from eating fast food for two weeks while my kitchen was out of commission due to a leaky pipe and cabinets being replaced from water damage. I had just started a new job and needed to make my dinner large enough to have leftovers for lunches too. Crockpot to the rescue! I even used up the jars of Heinz gravies I had sitting in my pantry. I did chicken in gravy and made instant potatoes using my electric kettle to heat the water. But your cookbook gave me good options I could tweak and it helped get me through! I even pulled out my smaller crockpot and had it going as well at times! These ideas are lifesavers during home disasters! 😉😉 At least I got a new dishwasher out of the fiasco. 😉

My favorite slow cooker is the Olive Garden Italian chicken one, but I add 2lbs of chicken breast, a 16oz bottle of the dressing, a block of cream cheese, a 1/2 cup of parm, & a bag of plain sun dried tomatoes. It’s so good!

Tip friends! "If" store bought frozen meatballs is not for you (cost, taste, heartburn for me) take note! I found out when my local store has ground meats on sale. I buy them super inexpensive & make & bake them myself. Yes, it takes about 2-3 hours, but I end up with 8-10 meals at half the cost & guess what? No heartburn. ❤❤

Honestly family meal is cool, but these minimal ingredient meals are awesome for healthy meal prep for myself! I can make a big batch of something delicious here, some rice and veggies, then dole them out into appropriate serving sizes into containers and my meal prep is done FAST. I was one of those people when I received a Crockpot as a wedding shower gift. It launched a life long appreciation for slow cooking. These easy 2 ingredient recipes are perfect for beginners (as well as us older cooks) Thanks Julia!
I made sure my oldest had a small crockpot (amongst other kitchen utensils and gadgets) when he got his first apartment after he graduated high school.
He took his bedroom furniture and I house warmed him furniture for his front room and bathroom necessities.

I would add Julia's cookbook to the crockpot gift recommendation - it's just sooo helpful!
My mom started using a crockpot when, they came out in the 70s but, only used it for only for sloppy joes! Thank goodness we came farther along with it, I always like to always have at least 2 or 3 and, small ones are great when, you’re 10:15 cooking fresh veggies for one 2 servings!

These are great for summer! I’ve been making the pot roast w/ pepperocinis for years. I add a packet of zesty Italian dressing mix & we make sandwiches out of the, I use hoagie rolls, toast them with a little garlic butter and then add provolone or mozzarella. Toasting the rolls helps keep them from falling apart with the juices.

Love the salsa and enchilada chicken recipes especially since I eat tons of chicken. I don’t normally buy drumsticks but the recipes here look really good and I will need to try them now. Julia, you really need to try the Walmart brand of Olive Garden Italian dressing- it’s called Restaurant style Italian. It tastes exactly like it and the cost is way lower.

I just wanted to mention to you in case you wasn't aware that there has been a huge recall on salads and alot of fresh vegetables at Walmarts all over the US for a little over a week. You may want to check out the recall list online before you buy your family's food. I wouldn't want you to get sick, or any of your followers. I'm not sure if its only Walmart, but that was the only store it mentioned on the article I read. It was from my local news, so it wasn't satire.

Thanks to your inspiration, I’ve been using my crockpot almost as much as my instant pot!! It saved me from eating fast food for two weeks while my kitchen was out of commission due to a leaky pipe and cabinets being replaced from water damage. I had just started a new job and needed to make my dinner large enough to have leftovers for lunches too. Crockpot to the rescue! I even used up the jars of Heinz gravies I had sitting in my pantry. I did chicken in gravy and made instant potatoes using my electric kettle to heat the water. But your cookbook gave me good options I could tweak and it helped get me through! I even pulled out my smaller crockpot and had it going as well at times! These ideas are lifesavers during home disasters! 😉😉 At least I got a new dishwasher out of the fiasco. 😉

My favorite slow cooker is the Olive Garden Italian chicken one, but I add 2lbs of chicken breast, a 16oz bottle of the dressing, a block of cream cheese, a 1/2 cup of parm, & a bag of plain sun dried tomatoes. It’s so good!

@@JuliaPacheco yesss very inconvenient. But we’ve been working through it ☺️ I actually made the bbq pork chops today. My husband doesn’t ever really eat pork. He didn’t know what they were but he said it was sooooo good! And they were. He literally licked the plate. I served them with the Ben’s 90 second microwave rice and some veggies I made in the microwave. Super good and quick even though I had no stove/oven. Thanks again!! I’ll be making each of these meals one after the other 😍

I make those chicken Tacos all the time. Once, I didn't have salsa, but I had a can of rotel. My husband thought that was even better, haha 😄

Tip friends! "If" store bought frozen meatballs is not for you (cost, taste, heartburn for me) take note! I found out when my local store has ground meats on sale. I buy them super inexpensive & make & bake them myself. Yes, it takes about 2-3 hours, but I end up with 8-10 meals at half the cost & guess what? No heartburn. ❤❤

Honestly family meal is cool, but these minimal ingredient meals are awesome for healthy meal prep for myself! I can make a big batch of something delicious here, some rice and veggies, then dole them out into appropriate serving sizes into containers and my meal prep is done FAST.
