I was thinking of having crack chicken with brown rice. Can I put it in the slow cooker with the chicken? And if so, at what point would I add it? I'm sorry, I tried to research and find out how I would mix it with it when cooking in the slow cooker, but haven't found anything.

Today my dad passed away. I wanted you to know how much help your UA-cam channel and your cookbook helped me to feed him good food for the past year that he has been battling cancer. I am so grateful to you and for you. Thank you Julia. You helped me help a very sick but very good man. He went from handing out bibles at Walmart last Saturday to gone today. That is the activity that brought him joy. Every store we went to he had his little bibles ready. Anyway I’m rambling so let’s leave it at I appreciate you. ❤

Take all the time you need to grieve and don't let anyone tell you to get over it. There is no time frame. My own brother did that to me. Needless to say he's not in my life for many reasons. I love potato soup, I have a tip for getting it thicker. I use instant dry potatoes. It gives potato flavor and thickens the soup. I have also used it to thicken other soups like chicken and dumpling and beef stew. Give it a try, its so easy. Thanks again for the great video Julia

Thanks Julia! Sometimes I get everything ready the night before, like searing the meat, and then put everything in the crock and stick that into the fridge. In the morning, you can just pop it in the cooker. It makes the next day even easier. I love your channel!

I've been making that stew for a long time! It's always a favorite of mine. I never have the small can of tomato sauce, so I always use a can of tomato soup. Works wonders!! Thank you for more great recipe ideas, Julia. The potato soup will be on my table soon! Whenever I have to brown meat before adding it to the slow cooker, I add my chopped onion and garlic to the fry pan. I have found that this gives the meat an extra flavor boost.

I need to make thst chicken spaghetti! Seeing you make that made my mouth water! I've made chicken 100's of ways, but never thought of using it for a spaghetti. I've watched your videos from close to the beginning, and I love that you've remained so humble. While all of your recipes can be made "high end", you've maintained the "tightened the belt" teacher. I'm disabled, in a wheelchair, and divorced (my husband filed as soon as I was approved for Social Security Disability payments). It warms my heart that I don't have to feel like I can't afford to try your recipes. Thank you so much for keeping it real for tight budget cooks. May God continue to bless you, and your family. ❤

3:55 a tip i have is to dice the top of the bell pepper and added into the stuffing. That way you're not left with a huge chunk of bell pepper. Or just snack on it, I love raw bell pepper with hummus

The stuffed peppers make a really good casserole lol. It uses a bit more rice, I cut my peppers in quarters or thirds and layer them I'm a baking dish, then the filling (mixed with cheese and some diced peppers for extra peppers) then more cheese on top as a topping lol

Hi Julie. I have your cookbook and I love it. When I make stew, instead of adding flour as a thickener, I use a potato masher and mash some of the potatoes and other veggies right in the pot. It works great.

All the recipes look amazing. I think I'm going to try the potato soup first. I sometimes switch out the chicken breasts with a pound of cooked Jimmy Dean sausage for the chicken spaghetti. Thank you for more great recipe ideas, Julia. The potato soup will be on my table soon! Whenever I have to brown meat before adding it to the slow cooker, I add my chopped onion and garlic to the fry pan. I have found that this gives the meat an extra flavor boost.

I need to make thst chicken spaghetti! Seeing you make that made my mouth water! I've made chicken 100's of ways, but never thought of using it for a spaghetti.
I've watched your videos from close to the beginning, and I love that you've remained so humble. While all of your recipes can be made "high end", you've maintained the "tightened the belt" teacher. I'm disabled, in a wheelchair, and divorced (my husband filed as soon as I was approved for Social Security Disability payments). It warms my heart that I don't have to feel like I can't afford to try your recipes. Thank you so much for keeping it real for tight budget cooks. May God continue to bless you, and your family. ❤

3:55 a tip i have is to dice the top of the bell pepper and added into the stuffing. That way you're not left with a huge chunk of bell pepper. Or just snack on it, I love raw bell pepper with hummus

The stuffed peppers make a really good casserole lol. It uses a bit more rice, I cut my peppers in quarters or thirds and layer them I'm a baking dish, then the filling (mixed with cheese and some diced peppers for extra peppers) then more cheese on top as a topping lol

My mom's potato soup was horrible 😫. It was always one of those meals when it was close to pay day. She only used potatoes, milk, and hardboiled eggs. Now I know potato soup can be delicious. 😊

Hi Julie. I have your cookbook and I love it. When I make stew, instead of adding flour as a thickener, I use a potato masher and mash some of the potatoes and other veggies right in the pot. It works great.

Until I started watching your videos, I rarely used paprika (except for deviled eggs). Now, I use it in just about everything. It adds a nice warm richness.

All the recipes look amazing. I think I'm going to try the potato soup first. I sometimes switch out the chicken breasts with a pound of cooked Jimmy Dean sausage for the chicken spaghetti. I also use Velveeta instead of shredded cheese. Next time I make it I'm going to try it with shredded cheese. Have a great day! Love from Texas ❤
