I’m going with “Christopher Robin’s room”. I always like to pause the movies when it shows his room and just look at all of the things he has in his vintage, very boy, room. 🎈🌧️ 🌳
My husband and I just did a somewhat “vintage Winnie the Pooh” and bear-ish themed nursery for our baby boy because we both grew up with similar themed bedrooms 🥰
Did that for my daughter. She's now 19, and she still loves that her Dad painted the pics from the crib set on her walls and I striped them cream and sage.
Sports theme? I know it will be great and beautiful no matter what, because it will be designed, built and decorated by you😊 baby boy, and Romeo!!! Thank you so much for all of your creativity ❤ congratulations 🎉on the revealing of baby boy!💙 *just a tip; I have 2 kids, I used baby oil on my belly with both and didn't get any stretch marks! "My mom had done the same" ❤
My very first thought was vintage Peter Rabbit, but I didn’t think you would do a full on theme. Your comments support that idea. So, like English cottage-y leaning masculine? Whatever you decide to do will be adorable! Can’t wait to see it.
Look 👀 into -Solar tubes - rather than sky lights Totally worth it … even at night the light comes in the space from the moonlight glow Have them in my Florida homes for years
I agree, when looking for a house i made sure we had no trees over our home. We have tons of natural light. Now i would love a tree or two for some shade and privacyl oh well
Kitchen skylight advice: we put one in and asked the contractor to make the bottom opening bigger than the skylight, i.e., the walls of the "well" were slanted. If your skylight is 2' x 4', for example, the bottom opening would be 3' x 5' or larger. Paint the well walls white to reflect more light. We also had recessed lights but never had to turn them on during the day (and i need lots of light when preparing food) unless it was dark and rainy.
I’m really enjoying the new opening scenes format. It’s a refreshing way to do the “what’s to come” without making the content so redundant and abrasive. Just letting you know that I notice and appreciate that style choice!
Maybe a travel themed nursery? To incorporate Romeo's Philippino background and your mutual love for travel to Europe/etc.? Excited to see what you guys decided on!
Definitely a possibility - she showed several shots of suitcases, etc when she was at the flea... Not that she was necessarily interested in them per se, but when you've got something in mind, related items subconsciously catch your attention.
McKenna, make sure you put that bear in a pillowcase before you wash them might tear up the fabric and do it on gentle maybe a soak in baby fabric soapy wash
I’m loving Beatrix Potter right now.. especially Peter Rabbit 🐇 such a throw back, but so adorable!! I would love to see that in your nursery, along with a woodland spin.💕😊
My go-to is Ace Hardware, then Window Depot (specifically for trim), then Lowes. I avoid Home Depot unless they're the only place with the thing in stock. They're awful.
For nearly a decade now, since we got a Lowe’s in our area, it’s always my first stop. I found the exact same: better service, better quality, better variety, and often better prices. My husband is still of the mindset that Home Depot is the place for “Real Construction” stuff so he always goes there first and I just roll my eyes because I know what’s going to happen - we’re going to end up at Lowe’s anyhow 😂
Let me just say, Sassy preggo mama MaCenna is my spirit animal. I just love how you’re expressing yourself and being unapologetic about it. So glad you FINALLY got the help and supplies you needed. Can’t wait to see the final results 😊❤
Perhaps the “Guess How Much I Love You” book theme with the adorable hare and his friends? My oldest is 15 years now, but he used to LOVE that book series. Very sweet, and it would be a great theme for baby boy’s nursery. No matter what you choose, we all know it will be thoughtfully curated and beautifully designed. ❤️
I was thinking it could be autumn forest/ trees on a wall, possibly painted in water colour with MaCenna’s own fine hands, now she knows she has the same talent as her mum ❤
I did kind of a bear/outdoor vintage theme for my son ...ehem, 23 years ago.....I painted a huge tree in the corner of his room and the leaves went onto the ceiling and I hung a rope swing with a wooden seat that I had made and his "bear" went onto that swing. He still has that bear and his name is "beary" and he would die if he knew I told anyone he still has Beary! LOL in the opposite corner, I painted it like the moon was peaking into his room (his ceiling was white so the white were the "clouds") and even had a few constellations painted in there as well!!! Ohhhh how fun and I cannot wait to see what you have decided!!!! Enjoy the process!!!!! I have 4 wonderful children and I got to do this for every single one of them and it was a great way to help the time pass and stay active!!! You and Romeo are so much fun to watch and I'm just thrilled for you both and your families!!!!!! ❤😘
I'm loving the new earlier times, thank you! I live in Spain and get to watch you straight after work 🎉 Have been watching you for a year now, and look forward to Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays all because of you 😂
So lovely you saw a fan from Belgium!! wow! you make us all so happy McKenna with your DIY & positivity! so glad I found your channel! 🤩 😘 Looking fwd to the reveal this Sunday!!
I used to work at Lowe’s and can personally vouch for it verses Home Depot. Fun fact - Lowe’s has been around longer than Home Depot but Home Depot has more locations. 🛠️
…. Lowes’ owners are also not anti-lgbtqia. I know some ppl don’t necessarily care but it means a lot when you need to choose a place to shop as a queer person who loves DIY
I can almost see it as a nod to your trip to France. I know how much you liked the old world feeling and history. It would be beautiful as an old world nursery.
Can’t wait to see the nursery theme! Ever since you moved into this house all I can think about is kids and a fire plan. I know that’s like a really dark thought, but the spare rooms are so far from the master. Probably just my own paranoia, but I had to mention it as most people don’t have one ❤️. Absolutely loving the bear you found.
11:50 rolling pins. I recently saw a farmhouse style kitchen that had decorated using various sized vintage wooden rolling pins. It was simple but cute.
My guess is a nautical nursery!! That can be taken from a cheesy point of view but if you do it right it can be so cute and classic in a boy’s nursery. That’s also something we wouldn’t guess by looking at you and Romeo
Maybe a coastal travel theme, but whatever you do, I'm sure it will be adorable. Have a fantastic time decorating! Love & blessings always to you guys ❤️
My guess for your nursery is maybe a vintage, cottage, garden, traditional baby room with rocking horse and bassinet- like the little boy's room in the velveteen rabbit? I can't wait to see what you end up doing. I'm loving that you are using bead board- a little cottage vibe in your LA home. This baby boy is going to have the coziest nursery- I can't wait to see him snuggled up in it! 💙💙💙
I always go to Lowe’s, never Home Depot for these very reasons. I’ve even bought my large appliances and flooring from Lowe’s. When I renovated my condo I bought everything there, hardware, doors, etc. Always pleased with them.
It's 19.10 here in the Uk, and there's nothing like snuggling in bed and seeing a MaCenna notification. I seriously love & watch ALL of your content, but i do get a serotonin kick out of your flea market/estate sales/thrift vlogs. It's the best kind of window shopping I hope you're taking it easy and aren't pushing yourself. Your health and baby mean more to us than us getting videos every Tues, Thurs & Sun. Much love from London, UK ❤️🤍💙 PS; I'm so here for sassy pregnant MaCenna.
The Lowe’s near me is literally the best. The workers are so helpful. Took my husband a year to finally convert from his Home Depot allegiance, but he’s finally convinced.
Keep your cool MaCenna! It can affect your baby! - Good to know you eventually got what you needed from Lowes. I know from experience, if a store is inhospitable I will ask to speak with the manager and vent, diplomatically, with them. The store should realise that the customers are keeping them in employment and should treat customers/people in general with respect. I treat people the way I wish to be treated. By the way, I can't wait to see the nursery. It is so heart warming to see you and Romeo shopping for your baby X
Miss mama!!! Slow down!!!! Make sure you rest 🫶🏻 maybe every other Sunday can be a mama rest video where you treat yourself to mama thangs and do a simple diy or something fun in the sun ❤️❤️ love you!
I know it’s not totally the norm anymore but just my suggestion it would be really beneficial to just get legally married and have a marriage certificate for the benefit of the baby and legalizing the family unit. In case of emergencies and for life insurance purposes, you and Romeo being legally married is helpful. You don’t have to change names or have a big expensive ceremony but it also means a lot symbolically I feel to have married parents. Ily ❤ so excited for your fam!
I know you are so used to doing things yourself but it’s so wholesome and lovely watching you and Romeo take this journey together - I know he’s shy to the camera, but we love him! Also, my guess for the theme - Beatrix potter or Alice in wonderland? I adore Beatrix potter kitchenware. One of my earliest memories is being given a Peter rabbit wedgewood porcelain bowl by my mum for my 2nd birthday and I adored it. I wish i still had it.
"I'm a sassy pregnant lady"..😅 Let me tell you that growing a baby & having a baby also grows lioness Mummas! It's a kind of transition: you go from being your parent's child to being a parent yourself & that totally changes you. Can't lie, I'm here for it! Love you xx
@angelica.mercado totally! I remember it used to really take me by surprise that calm, kind , zero confident me could be soooo ferocious about my children 🤣. It's quite liberating actually but can feel very strange at first xxx
So true ladies. I remember I was two days away from delivering my daughter and someone almost side swiped me while driving. I absolutely lost my mind. How dare they endanger my baby! I was so surprised how angry and protective I had reacted. Now, she is almost 6 and I promise no one will mess with my child and get away with it. Mama bear is absolutely a thing.
Not a nursery, but my 9 year old son is having a Grandpas study bedroom. Deep greens and jewel tones and dark plaid. I even framed my grandfather’s gold watch on his wall. We have old antique toys on display. It’s moody and magical.
Kudos to you for going through that flea market- I would never have the patience to go through that much stuff. No doubt the colors you choose for the nursery will be beneficial to the development of your baby, rather than the current neutral or dark moody trend.
I love sassy Macenna! You go mama! ❤. Can’t wait to see the baby room theme and I was also thinking vintage Winnie the Pooh . I’m sure it’s vintage something!!!
I looove waking up to your videos, MaCenna. Thank goodness for home office and a flexible work schedule. I'm so excited that you're having a boy first. You and Romeo will be amazing parents. Can't wait to see how your nursery turns out.
This is your ultimate creativity project MaCenna!!! You are building a baby inside your body, if you have days where you feel like you need to slow down, listen to your feelings.I applaud your little rant today and good on you for taking your custom elsewhere. Looking forward to the design reveal. I'm guessing...Teddy bears picnic? On the front lawn surrounded by the scent of roses?
I agree with you!! Home Depot has some of the rudest employees, here in Maine too!! I have stopped going there because of bad service too!! I just remodeled my kitchen and other parts of my home and purchased most everything from lowes.
Starting to look at buying our first home. Thankfully I’m not intimidated by some things needing updated or changed because of all your content that got me through 2020 and I’ve stayed since! Can’t wait for the next life chapter! Thanks Macenna xoxoxoxo
I just had a baby boy and we did the same: collected all the art and furniture from estate sales and antique stores since finding out I was pregnant. I love that idea. Literally, the only new thing in his room is his mattress. We put up bead board wainscoting and painted it "Debonair" by Sherwin Williams and its a Victorian Americana theme with race horse and hounds pictures. I am obsessed. 😍
Natural lighting is great! Please take into consideration blackout curtains for baby sleep schedule. Mine sleep anywhere, but I've heard darkness is helpful.
I totally agree with you! I refuse to go to Home Depot anymore! I have always been know for building kitchen islands an my decks and lots of fur I and I put up with the rudeness of HD because they were closer to my house, not anymore, I am a 72 year old woman and refuse to be treated badly anymore. Still as creative as always but I go to Lowe’s to be treated the way we should be. I love your channel because you remind me of myself when I was young! Don’t ever change it keeps you young. ❤️
I feel like the theme could maybe be sporty, having different texture and fabric such as plaid / wood elements and maybe having horses or wallpaper. -> 🐎🪵⛳️🏆🏞️⏳ I’m so excited for the final outcome!! 💗
I was thinking Beatrix Potter. Most people remembered those books as a child. And it will go beautifully with McKennas vintage style. Probably not bold colors but definitely greens, yellows, blues. 🤔
Y'all have the BEST flea markets there! All those Mikasa French Countryside stems at the 12:15 mark - that's my wedding stemware. I love it! I also love a Christopher Robin room - Winnie the Pooh was my favorite when I was a kid and i think that would fit the overall feel of your house so well, and be a magical place to be a little boy :)
When expecting my girls I did everything. Seems people can’t handle being pregnant anymore. Whining all the time. Almost wanting me to inscribe 😰women who worked on farm continued on. My mom did
@@carolynmcewen5104 Every pregnancy is different for every woman. And each woman's pregnancy can be different. I felt very energetic with my daughter but tired all the time with my son. Please remember we are all human and not judge someone for being different from yourself.
Completely the same experience with Home Depot. I will run in when I need something quick just because it is closer to my home, but absolutely will drive to Lowe’s when I need materials/assistance for a large project. I have never had an issue with customer service at Lowe’s. I will say Home Depot has a kids project corner every 1st Saturday of the month and the ladies who work with this have been extremely helpful and sweet with the kids. My granddaughter loves going to build a project.
This is so relatable thank you for showing this part of the project. You inspired me when I seen you working with man tools building stuff I said I can too. And I did. Thank you MaCenna.
I did a Noah’s Ark theme for my first born son’s nursery 35 years ago! It was difficult to find Noah’s ark items at that time, so I commissioned a local artist to carve me a Noah’s Ark with all of the animals. It was absolutely adorable. I wish I still had it, but it was played with for so many years, the pieces eventually were lost & the ark moved on, lol.
Agree! My Home Depot is a pit, has no inventory and RUDE staff! Love the Local Lowe's! If you happen to have a Menard's, they have the best selection of trim - at least mine does.
Beatrice Potter or 100 acre wood. Your mom should paint a little mural. I love that bear you bought! My first thought was Romeo is going to have fun washing it. ❤
For the nursery, I’m guessing a garden theme using hand painted Trompe L’oeil walls maybe even with a Winnie the Pooh woodland theme. We’ll see on Sunday.
Many of your followers liked Peter Rabbit. I walked the hills in England where Beatrix Potter lived the lakes, and hills were beautiful. You and Romeo like theme parks, and playing in snow. You two laugh a lot and find a lit of joy. Whatever you choose will reflect the two of you.
Are you moving your bedroom upstairs beside the babies nursery ? You should be beside them for the first year of life and definitely not on a different level in case of emergencies ,
It will be something vintage disney (Winnie?) meets french country, baby. Also dont forget a bassinet for your room. It will prove convenient in the early days especially if you breast feed. You will need some kind of storage for baby stuff in you room too. Just food for thought from a mom who's been there. Congratulations to you both oh and Grandma too! Cant wait to see the nursery reveal. I know you will knock it out the park!
My guess is a forest/woodland theme for the nursery or maybe like starry night sky🌌 with dark, moody paint color. Whatever you choose, I know it will be beautiful.
omg I have a sky light in my kitchen and it is one of my top fav features of my home! def recommend if it can be accomplished! mine is over my island and my house is so bright
I’m going with “Christopher Robin’s room”. I always like to pause the movies when it shows his room and just look at all of the things he has in his vintage, very boy, room.
🎈🌧️ 🌳
I was thinking 100 acre wood
Ugh I love that!
Are you doing a jungle theme?
I came here to say the same!
I did my kid's room in classic Winnie the Pooh. So not the cartoonish Disney version, but more true to the book. Light greens and pale yellows.
Vintage Peter Pan! Brass boat, Michael’s teddy bear, magical and whimsical. That’s my dream nursery!!!
My husband and I just did a somewhat “vintage Winnie the Pooh” and bear-ish themed nursery for our baby boy because we both grew up with similar themed bedrooms 🥰
That’s immediately what I thought they would decide too! Such a beautiful theme.
I considered this nursery theme also.
We did the same! My “going home outfit” from the hospital was Winnie the Pooh and I wanted to tie that back in with my son. It was so cute!
My very first thought was vintage Peter Rabbit, but I didn’t think you would do a full on theme. Your comments support that idea. So, like English cottage-y leaning masculine?
Whatever you decide to do will be adorable! Can’t wait to see it.
I was thinking this ❤
Look 👀 into -Solar tubes -
rather than sky lights
Totally worth it … even at night the light comes in the space from the moonlight glow
Have them in my Florida homes for years
LOVE the idea of skylights in the kitchen! I can never get enough natural light.
I agree, when looking for a house i made sure we had no trees over our home. We have tons of natural light. Now i would love a tree or two for some shade and privacyl oh well

That’s a good guess!!
I was thinking that too!
I was thinking the same thing
Definitely a possibility - she showed several shots of suitcases, etc when she was at the flea... Not that she was necessarily interested in them per se, but when you've got something in mind, related items subconsciously catch your attention.
I thought jungle theme because of Romeo's heritage
McKenna, make sure you put that bear in a pillowcase before you wash them might tear up the fabric and do it on gentle maybe a soak in baby fabric soapy wash
Dreft! Smells, so good!

I was so glad to hear you aren't going for a full on "themed" nursery. Whatever you decide on I've no doubt it will be subtle & elegant.
That teeny tiny needlepoint cat stocking you picked up at the flea literally made me GASP

I thought the same! It's probably my guess because that's what I would do 🪺😊
Green Briar Peter Cottontail by Thorton Burgess
Possibly a Woodland Theme Bedroom, I actually save all your posts and binge on a weekend, heaven.❤
My guess on the nursery theme is "Scottish". A very classic room with dark wood accents and Tartan prints/fabrics. That would be so much fun 🙂
I know you are so used to doing things yourself but it’s so wholesome and lovely watching you and Romeo take this journey together - I know he’s shy to the camera, but we love him! The Bear is so cute! What a fun time for you two, please be careful to not overdo! We enjoy your videos so much Thank You for sharing!!
I love sassy Macenna! You go mama! ❤. Can’t wait to see the baby room theme and I was also thinking vintage Winnie the Pooh . I’m sure it’s vintage something!!!
I liked that scene on the car. Raging hormones. Poor Romeo waiting outside the car until she's done.
I looove waking up to your videos, MaCenna. Thank goodness for home office and a flexible work schedule. I'm so excited that you're having a boy first. You and Romeo will be amazing parents. Can't wait to see how your nursery turns out.
No hints 😂 well we know what it’s not! And it’s not safari themed! Did anyone else’s heart totally melt at that little baby and mama giraffe 🥹
Yeah!! A flea market shopping video!
I’m thinking vintage, woodsy, dark greens and tans/browns, plaids, vintage toys. Can’t wait
Please don't stress, MaCenna. Your bear is fabulous,
I think your nursery theme is a seaside or circus theme.
I look forward to your next video. 😊
I thought circus theme too
Ooooo, circus theme...
Victorian nursary theme , lots of antique toys , rocking horse etc x
I work at Lowe's near where I live. I have always like Lowe's over Home Depot even before I started working there.
Would it be a kind of vintage woodland with animals and trees?
WOW MaCenna! Kudos to you! Doesn’t it just blow your mind when you meet people that follow you from different parts of the world? ❤
I feel like the theme could maybe be sporty, having different texture and fabric such as plaid / wood elements and maybe having horses or wallpaper.
-> 🐎🪵⛳️🏆🏞️⏳
I’m so excited for the final outcome!! 💗
I thought the same thing❤
I was thinking Beatrix Potter. Most people remembered those books as a child. And it will go beautifully with McKennas vintage style. Probably not bold colors but definitely greens, yellows, blues. 🤔
Y'all have the BEST flea markets there! All those Mikasa French Countryside stems at the 12:15 mark - that's my wedding stemware. I love it! I also love a Christopher Robin room - Winnie the Pooh was my favorite when I was a kid and i think that would fit the overall feel of your house so well, and be a magical place to be a little boy :)
Girl you are hardly doing nothing! You are making brains and eyes, nervous systems, toes and fingers and all kinds of miraculous and amazing 👏
It is truly a miracle how a little baby developes !!!!
I get so happy when I see there’s a video out. ❤😊
This is so relatable thank you for showing this part of the project. You inspired me when I seen you working with man tools building stuff I said I can too. And I did. Thank you MaCenna.
Noah’s Ark would be adorable! The mama giraffe with her baby would fit right in. ❤️
So excited for nursery reveal! Lightly themed circus?? Ralph Lauren theme?? Can't wait!
I honestly havent been able to guess AT ALL and I am very excited to see!!
That bear looks like an old beadspread my grandmother had❤❤. Now I want to make one from some things i have from her!! Love it!!
For the nursery, I’m guessing a garden theme using hand painted Trompe L’oeil walls maybe even with a Winnie the Pooh woodland theme. We’ll see on Sunday.
MaCenna please ! When Romeo held those paint colours up and it was again just the exact shirt he’s wearing. I’m dying 😂😂😂
Horses. The theme is horses I just have a feeling❤😂 it's either your mom or Romeo who loves horses❤
I was thinking the same thing from her looking at the horse picture.
@@debdd7 same here 😂 and she did say it had to do with something we don't know about her and her family so I'm guessing it could be that lol.
I loved the horse picture and the teddy bear! Glad you got the bear. ❤
13:50 I’m feeling like your nursery decor is going to be pastel colours in Paris theme or pastel Disneyland in Paris ❤︎
Yes. That was my guess, too.
Omg that's such a cute idea!
I think like a vintage sports theme and using that soft cornflower blue that you love is going to be incorporated
Mama’s gonna love having the baby in her room ❤️❤️❤️
Many of your followers liked Peter Rabbit. I walked the hills in England where Beatrix Potter lived the lakes, and hills were beautiful. You and Romeo like theme parks, and playing in snow. You two laugh a lot and find a lit of joy. Whatever you choose will reflect the two of you.
MaCenna…please take it slow and don’t push yourself for content. ❤
I absolutely agree. As you can see, things spiral and you do too much.
Are you moving your bedroom upstairs beside the babies nursery ? You should be beside them for the first year of life and definitely not on a different level in case of emergencies ,
Suis totalement d'accord...
Take care of yourself and future Roméo or Juliet. ❤
@@edmeza9053she doesn’t have to she can actually bring a smaller bed downstairs where her room is
She is pregnant not sick
It will be something vintage disney (Winnie?) meets french country, baby. Also dont forget a bassinet for your room. It will prove convenient in the early days especially if you breast feed. You will need some kind of storage for baby stuff in you room too. Just food for thought from a mom who's been there. Congratulations to you both oh and Grandma too! Cant wait to see the nursery reveal. I know you will knock it out the park!
Love flea market days
Nursery would be darling done in a building (tools, schematics) and architectural style with vintage blueprints or fantasy playhouse.
I think the nursery will have a nautical theme 💙
Yes my guess is “sailboats”. Nautical. Ocean…
Her nephew Robbie's room was a nautical "Pirate" theme. She will likely not do nautical.
@@madzabinga8382 what’s YOUR guess?
@@loricook2371 I really have no idea, but themed rooms are SO cheesy to me.
I thinking vintage navy ticking fabric, vintage books, a 1920's boys room. Can't wait
