- This is my demo of Screen Space Ambient Occlusion technique used in Crysis. It runs at about 20 fps on my 8600 GT. I guess Crytek used a faster algorithm for their game since they implemented many more effects. However, I wouldn't have much fun with Crysis on my current hardware either.

Well, this was my first try at SSAO. The black aura was a serious calculation error. I fixed it some time ago, but it hasn't become good enough to upload another video :)
It looks nice, but if you look closely it is easy to spot its limitations.
