    Right option to the company is to recalibrate the battery charge indicator so that actual 5%is read as 0. So though there is not going to give the actual drivable status to the driver is clear without any ambiguity

    Mai bhi same problem face kar raha hun car automatic nutral ho rahi hai aur jab charge karta hun even slow charger pe then 95% se jump karke 100% within 1 minute mei ho rahi hai n tata motors service centre person provided me do's n don't circular now koi actual problem nahi samjh raha aur is wajah se range 160- 170 km hi de rahi hai please suggest kya karna chahiye ...mai bhi pune wagholi se hun

    Brother my ev max 3 months old used to shift in limited performance mode even my charge was above 10 percentage...... And one day my car was at 28 percent it shifted to netural with critical battery error on the screen.... Tata did all the tests and replaced my motor and motor control unit....they said my isolation test value came very low so they decided to replace the motor and mcu....though they did it in a week of time....till now the car haven't faced any issue

    Even I faced the same issue couple of months back. My battery was above 40%. I was on a highway driving at the speed of 70-80 in the middle lane. Suddenly the car started showing critical error and the speed dropped drastically. I was not even able to accelerate it above 20. I was lucky that no vehicle was behind me. I parked the car at the side of the road. Switch off the car for minute or two and started again. The error was gone and started working fine after that.
    The next day I took the car to service center and told them the incident. They kept my car for like 3 days and the answer they gave was there's nothing wrong with the car.
    I feel even the service center guys are not fully aware about the evs and their issues.
    (I have Tiago EV long range)

      You r absolutely correct sir. The SC people are absolutely having zero knowledge and skill everywhere as they were half trained so that they can just manage the show. This is a big retardation in Tata service. Their R&D set up is also not geared up fully to do detailed analysis of the incidents reported by customers. And root cause is the Battery Management system which Tatamotors did cost cutting and this is the result. We r used as guinea pigs for experiment. Other companies like BYD, Kona, Kia motors , Tesela and Hyundai never compromised on battery management system. Tatamotors has to focus seriously on this. If necessary vehicles reporting problems.ust be recalled and battery alongwith BMS must be replaced.

    Is it applicable to Prime users?? I have faced this problem of D2N due to HV Critical error at 2/3% for my EV MAx. There is no update for Max yet. Probably a cell balancing issue but I’m yet to visit SC for check up. I have driven 2k km after these errors. Also I used to do deep discharge till 1% as you also mentioned the case.

      From the info we got going below 10% is not advisable so whenever next you are on a long route where you feel the need to drain take an extra charging stop

    Slow charging to 100% is very important in LFP cells used by TATA for cell balancing.

    Bhai I was thinking ki prime k baad esa kuch hua hai q ki I am regularly doing deep discharge whenever possible and at 5% my beep starts and within few mts say 300-400m distance it suddenly becomes 1% (rapidly discharging). But I thought since so long that it's some issue but as it's below 5% I was ignoring....

    It happens because of battery imbalance or due to cells in the battery after the correction in that car will go till 0% .

    I don't know whether u have got RT information or not ....if its true then thanx fir for updates..but im draining battery till 2% also n charging upto 100% but faced any issued.... except limited performance and charging alerts.... able to drive a car... recently done 4th service...
    I vl check it again...

      You r correct . Tatamotors is not doing its job. If charging procedure is standardized then it must be communicated to all customers as how and when to charge. Theoretically you should be able to drain battery upto 2% and then charge to 100% . But few people take that chance and generally charge from 10 or 15% onwards to 100% slow charge. So cell balancing is done absolutely and correctly. The problem with Tatamotors is they spread rumers through service station people who are trained poorly and advise people wrongly. Best is recall the cars and replace BMS and Battery immediately for keeping a clean image of Tatamotors. Instead of that they r taking the escapist route. Do they want status of Ola scooter?

    There were 3 factory updates added to Nexon EV
    1. Charging actuator cover added
    2. High voltage cable (orange) flexible pipe insulation added.
    3. HV Battery Breather plugs replacement with metal plugs(this was very important which we can’t even check unless we get under the vehicle. Some service centers are skipping this inadvertently 😢as customers won’t notice

    After 1 year running the car, last 40% of battery started giving only 30kms range. It used to dry super fast. After three times followup luckily Tata replaced Nexon EV battery with new one

    Hi , i recently got the charger plug getting heated ( red blinking) issue ,
    So is it necessary to change the charger or just use it wirh switching it off for 10 min and reuse it 😮 .

    It may be trick by Tata to sell more long range variants. But yes this reason seems acceptable that people are pushing their EVs to last 2% and then charging

    I faced same issue at almost same location with my Tigor EV in last month.
    Battery was 13%, and car stopped. I had faced same issue in Nashik few months back, at that time battery was 3%.
    This problem seems to be something different, not because of low battery.

    I own a Tiago EV LR and am not able to correlate between the battery percentage and Range which is being shown on the display... Tried connecting with Tata specialist however not got satisfactory response... Please guide

      Our calculations for Tiago ev stays at 2 kms per percentage is the best average range in good conditions can go beyond 2.5 kms

      Watch out for the wh/km unit in the dashboard.
      Divide 24000 by that wh/km number.
      Mind you the range dashboard shows is tentative and the actual range depends on your driving style, use of regen levels and AC use.

    I want to know if you started out with a FULLY charged till auto cut off by the charger ... This is called a fully balanced battery and then you can go down to even 1%... Try that out my friend because I have and you can go down to 1%... There There

    I have booked nexon Ev recently. It will be delivered in few days are there any issues with it? Should I cancel the booking? I will mostly be using in the city but will be taking it to highway every 2-3 months (250+kms one go). Please Advise.

      In general it's best to plan your trip in advance and charge car as soon as it drops below 25% ... nothing to be bothered about in the car itself so no worries in that

      If your budget permits go for MG ZS which is far superior than Tata Nexon or go for BYD which gives more range. HV error is not heard of in these cars.

      Sir its personal choice let me tell my experience and few people experience in our owners group i got hv alert at 26 percent we maintain charge and proper driving style even sc and tata dont know wat the problem they are changing our battery under warrenty 10029 km done in 6 month some face some don't face issue few change battery few change wiring few changed bms if it takes any change car have to be in sc at least 5-15 days minimum we have to fight for composition for those days if problem not in our side means thing is tata doing service but we have to force for that my vehicle is tiago ev i m not confident after this issue to suggest but i have to say its really cost saving fuel charges and convinces of drive silent drive with some compromise thats in all ev the decision is up to you 8 years battery warrenty and 3 years motor you can opt for extended warrenty for 2 years if ur daily commute is costly u can bear the problem and aware of this u can go

      I own Citroen eC3 which gives a decent range of 230-250 km . U can explore the car if u can live with less features but good ride comfort and range

    Total wrong information hai service center se. Mera bhi same problem ho raha tha 8% ke bad gari band ho jata tha. Battery ke health test karne ke bad bola 5 cell dead hai. 1 week gari ko rakha aur cell change karne ke bad abhi 1 % tak bhi chalta hai.

      Why only Tata EV are facing HV Critical errors. No other cars in the world are even aware about this. Tata motors must be cutting corners in battery management system and they do not have any standard operating system in place, not informing the customers about how much you should discharge the battery. They r only informing in writing that for every 4 fast charging one slow charge must be done. Except this no other communications. If in service centre they are updating and restricted the battery not to go beyond 5 % it is criminal. Case must be filed against Tatamotors for negligence and criminal proceedings should be initiated immediately. In any error case battery must be throughly checked for its capacity and health. Personally I do not agree with the view or opinion given by the service centre on update.

      I'm still facing the same issue even after being highlighted to SC. they took 1 week.
      After 22-20 % of battery start discharging like second and I can hardly go upto 2-3 Kms from 20% to 0%

      Tatamotors did cost cutting in BMS system assembly. This is mainly resulting in HV critical error. That is the reason u r not facing the music. Mostly Tiago ev are the effected lot.

    The problem is I do not trust what Tata Service centre tells. Got a feeling they aren't very adept in doing a RCA and explaining what exactly the issue is unless situation gets highly escalated for them. I mean what is the rationale behind shutting down the car at 5%? As you also told your car started behaving weirdly at 7%? Nothing is congruent with TATA service centre's explanation

    मेरे साथ तीन बार प्रॉब्लेम हुआ है.. पहले दो बार 10 %ने बस तीन साडेतीन कीलो मीटर मे गाडी कि बॅटरी पुरी खतम हुआ... और अभी तीन दिन पहले 22%बाद मुझे प्रॉब्लेम कर दीया गाडी सिर्फ 15 कीलो मीटर ही गयी और मै प्रॉब्लेम मे आ गया... कंपनी वाले बोल रहे आखीर 10 परसेन्ट बॅटरी आप हिसाब मै मत पकडो.... ये तो बहुत परेशानी वाली बात है

    Hello everyone!! We may stop circulating this further and all of us should act more responsibly towards such videos/rumors. A respected EV aficionado spoke to the company officials and nothing of such has been implemented.
    He also spoke to the UA-camr himself and he also cleared that it was just informed to him by an EV sales guy and that too over a phone call without even inspecting his vehicle. No update was given nor the vehicle was even connected to the service laptop.

      Hi the info was given by the ev service advisor and I guess the person you are referring to have been provided the number of service advisor by us for clarification... not only that have passed on the details to the company officials too also the service advisor had denied checking the vehicle on the basis of this being the normal behaviour

      Thanks for your response. I'm sure your intention is to help others, but since this video is still in the public domain, it continues spreading the incorrect conclusion given by your service advisor, amongst many other unsuspecting people. I personally know of many Nexon EV drivers regularly taking the SoC down to 1% / 2% / 3% without any issues. I know you have issued a clarification video, but it would be best to EDIT / REMOVE this video as it shall continue to create confusion and spread the misinformation you had at the time.

    After reading comments, it is sure many tata ev owners are facing this issue. And mostly are getting different responses from service centers. This shows, tata has no solution for the issue and not intent to acknowledge it. Service center dont know the answer and cooking up stories which suits the situation. My ev max went into turtle mode just at 22%. Though it was working totally fine over it, i took it to service centre in turtle mode. Somehow SC managed to make car totally immovable. Not being able to change from N to D, car was not charging. After keeping it idle for nearly a month, they replaced battery. When i received my car finally, it came with different issues. I have lost my trust from these tata guys. This car is just with a battery and motor. Servicing it was supposed to be simple. Dont understand where tata lost it. Really, not going to suggest anyone to buy any tata car.

    Tatamotors is not doing the basic problem solving. Root cause analysis leads to three things. Battery faulty, BMS faulty, cables and sensors faulty or loose. These r the main causes of this kind of errors. Tatamotors did cost cutting in BMS and result is visible. No other car manufacturers as well as two wheeler manufacturers reported HV error ever. Why tata is making us fools and using us like guinea pigs for their experiments. I'll trained engineers and technicians, poor customer service will not lead any where except down hill.

      Because in medical emergency time every minute is very precious… in that situation how can you spend even 30mins of precious time to charge your ev car…?? Justify me sir please..
      Instead of taking care of your loved one at emergency time, you go to charge your ev car..

    Pl.refrain from spreading rumors. Your Chanel is viewed by many ev owners and we expect more responsible behavior from you. It is sad that you have made this vedio without any confirmation from the right people. How can you believe a advisor and make such a vedio?
    We have already spoke to tata motors they have confirmed that there is no such update. If possible please remove this vedio as this misinformation will confuse many ev owners in future.

      Hi thanks for watching the vlog ... please be assured we will never put any false information on the channel after taking the car to the service centre and doing multiple tests personally on car's behaviour we took this decision of posting the video ... as you can see the time line compared to last video posted this thing happened over 10 days prior to we posted it and had received this response from official ev service advisor at the showroom and that's the only point of contact we have we don't have any contact inside the company itself ... also as mentioned in the video we are also not sure about the response and if you see in comments section everyone facing such issue has received a different response from the advisors

      The service centre advisor are I'll equipped with technical knowledge and spreading wrong information without any documented clarification from Tatamotors. You also propogate the same without confirming from Tatamotors. Be responsible and stop spreading lies.

      This mostly happens due to balancing issue. Please slow charge to 100% couple of times and please charge using 230V ac for sure. If you charge say with 200v or 190v like that then the balancing will not happen as it would happen with 230v @@NoiseFaktory

    Moral of the story- don't buy EV, even if u plan to buy EV don't buy Tata EV...😅

      In my opinion TATA EV is Great Doing Well In My Case.

      I would request you to research on other ev brands before making such a comment. Brands like Hyundai Kia have fire issues in their batteries. Just because some Tata ev are facing issues does not mean all other ev brands are automatically reliable. In India we do not have enough data on other ev since they are not sold in enough numbers, which gives an illusion of reliability

    Mai bhi same problem face kar raha hun car automatic nutral ho rahi hai aur jab charge karta hun even slow charger pe then 95% se jump karke 100% within 1 minute mei ho rahi hai n tata motors service centre person provided me do's n don't circular now koi actual problem nahi samjh raha aur is wajah se range 160- 170 km hi de rahi hai please suggest kya karna chahiye ...mai bhi pune wagholi se hun

      Service centre walon ko dedo gaadi aap check karne ke liye wapas se ... jab tak koi proper solution nahin milta tab tak karte raho ya phir kisi aur service centre ko dikhaiye
