Why make it out of aluminium? No certification body like TUV would allow this. In Europe we can buy certified steel adapter for the front Mercedes mod. Oh my GOD, I have no idea Faye has an MK3!!! I bought mine 2.5 years ago (88 NA) and I IDOLIZE that damn car. It's gotten me into cars/Toyota in general and taught me so many things working on her. It's an unbelievably good looking car like nothing else on the road now and the amount of attention she gets it not something I've ever experienced. I thought this job was too complex after researching it for a long time, but your video is going to help a LOT of people. The MK3 community is amazing and those in the know are aware how incredible and unique this beautiful and luxurious beast is!

I never realised (in my 25 years as a tech) the crush washers had specific sides! Thanks for the info, I’ll keep an eye out now. Always learning in this trade. Great videos as always.
So cute how you do little popups of the MK3 Repair manual while you work and I like the red arrows too Oh yeah and tip the person who taught me on lug nuts, always thread them on by hand a couple of turns before using any socket, some people rest them on and begin impacting immediately
Thanks for hanging in there with the MK3! I did the big brake mod to my fronts with with used mercedes calipers. Now I finally have a solution for the rears. Please keep the Supra vids coming.
Being retired mechanic and I’ll do all the cooking at home so I’m back in the kitchen. You can do that when you retire but for now, keep on cutting them ranches girl
I used the reverse air bleed to fill my wildwood calipers when I build my Factory Five cobra kit car, it worked great. Then I used pressure bleeder to get any air out. Great video by the way.
Hey Faye, excellent video the rims and the brakes look killer. I had an 88 supra and I was shocked when I did the rear brakes seeing that drum brakes set up parking brake I’ve never seen anything like that at the time.🙂 Wilwood makes a beautiful looking master cylinder with a proportioning valve. Not sure how budget friendly it is. but what certainly looks to be a substantial break upgrade dialing them in with a proportioning valve sounds like a really good idea. Also seeing that procedure would make a great video. Have a great one is always.🐔🐔🐔👍
Lol my 88' Supra was NOT budget friendly. No fault of it's own though, it's been mechanically perfect since I bought it two years ago, just modernizing everything and bringing maintenance up to spec, along with non-engine upgrades. Just an NA, but I've never had so much fun with a car.
Het Faye. I got your air fresheners in the mail the other day and I love them . Also the pics . Thank you so much again. You are the best. Take Care Faye and have a great holiday and New Year.
Neat stuff. Good thing you didn’t use those crush washers...I don’t think they would have let your bolts stay torqued properly. Great video and content. Thanks!
great video Faye, my rear brake caliper brackets just arrived yesterday so i'm excited to get that taken care of. currently finishing up my 3rd gen project car before focusing back onto the supra. hopefully by spring time i can start wrenching on the soup.
@FayeHadley I literally was looking for a 3rd gen the same time you bought yours. I bought a 97 SR5 and I already completed the 4x4 swap with the J shifter. I've just been working on replacing all the bushings with poly. I'm also running the EIBACH Pro 2" Lift kit so nothing crazy but comfortable. Pretty much picked up the 4x4 swap from PickNPull for $400 during a weekend sale. And even bought the SR5 from them for $1,700 lol
Nice work Faye. Your clear and concise explanations are much appreciated, along with all of the camera and editing work. Your project is coming along nicely!
Thank you Faye for another great video! Even though your project car is a bit different than mine (1964 Ford pick up) the concept is still similar.
