I agree with you on those brakes, I installed those powerstop pads and rotors on my 2014 Tundra last year. I have 200K on the truck and have been running 35" tires almost since it was new, and those pads have the best stopping and wear properties so far out of all the 4 different brands of brakes and rotors I've tried on this truck in the past.
I've never owned a Toyota, but I love your videos so much I don't care it's almost all Toyota content. You make the videos very entertaining :) Thank you for taking the extra time in your life to video them and post them.
While a 'pretty easy job', there's lots to get wrong and your vid is superb. It's also great for any Toyota with rear disks that have parking brakes shoes within them, as many do. I just have rear shoes (drum) and appreciate your earlier videos on these. Great video and dedicated content as ever. Nice Dune outro!
Yea, looking at these brakes, small surface area of rotors and pads. As much as I swear about my Tacoma rear drums, they do last forever, and the stop when I tow my trailer. Thanks for your video.
Well done and quite inclusive of tips and proper procedures! Bravo to you and your easy to follow tutorial. Filming was done quite well also!!! Kudos to you!!! Thank you for sharing!! 😊
Hey Faye, excellent video as always. learn something new or a different way whenever I watch you thanks. I hope you had a great holiday. See you in the next one.🐔🐔🐔🙂
Oh I think they are absolutely WONDERFUL trucks. Reliability is next level. I hear some people complain about the tow capacity compared to other full size trucks, so definitely do some comparison and make sure that the tundra will fit the bill for you. I think the absolute BEST video on this topic is by the Car Care Nut, and if you're serious about buying a Gen 2 Tundra, this is an absolute must-watch! For me 45 years ago lol , in BC Canada (that was learned through workers comp) after the rough clean Dawn dish soap wash with a brush and catch bath. At first I thought what ever? But it really cleaned the whole assembly really nice? Just my experiences
Wow, talk about being thorough and professional 👍🏽👏🏽. Eventhough you didn't do the front brakes in this video, can you still drop your Amazon link for those as well? . 😊
Hey Faye here is a question I have. I have a 2018 Tundra. I’ve done the brakes on it and the E brake shoes were in good shape. That said when the e brake is applied on a steep hill the truck will still want to roll back although very slowly. I’ve read about other Tundras having the same issue. How do you know when you have the proper adjustment on those shoes? I haven’t finished the video yet so you might address this for which I apologize for the early question 😂
I wish you would get some smaller Toyota's in the shop from time to time. Everyone seems to own Tundra's, Tacoma's or Rav 4's. What about us Corolla and Yaris owners???? We're not getting any love around here. 😮💨😮💨. I bet if you look up the percentage breakdown of Toyota model ownership you'll see that the make up is atleast 30% Corolla, 20% Camry and 5% Yaris. That's atleast 55% right there. And i feel that's a conservative estimate to me honest.
Drill instructor from full metal jacket..."what the F is that!" (21 mm lugnut amongst 22's) I would have washed that whole inner assembly with the shoes etc and wiped the shoes with brake cleaner, then greased the spots. Apart from periodic adjustment and making sure they dont drag but have enough proximity to allow for firm pedal i do think they tend to after a few years become incapable of holding the vehicle sturdy when parked on a hill because of all this darn dust. I also periodically wipe my rotors and pads if i have a wheel off because they get caked in dust, and this unnecessary buildup of dust prevents smooth and even wear on the rotor and transfer of heat and impedes friction.
Hi Faye I don't have a toyota I just like watching a good mechanic at work please keep up the great content
I really appreciate that! 😊
I love your videos. You and the Car Care Nut are my favorite auto repair channels.
You two are the bomb, keep doing what your doing
You will always have my gratitude for your thoroughness, professionalism, and entertaining qualities! Don’t change a thing 👍

Oh my gosh this is the sweetest comment!!!! 🥹🙏🏻 That is so encouraging Thank you so much!!
Faye drops a new video, got the day off and football this afternoon. What a great day!
I use high carbon disks on my Tundra due to warping issues. Haven't had any issues since moving to high carbon. Highly recommend.

You do a great job. Really enjoy the content!
I appreciate that! Thank you!!!
Great video!! Hope to see the Tundra Brake Flush make it to a video as well 👍
Good info Faye thank you.
Thinking of buying one. What is you opinion on dependability and towing power?

@@FayeHadley ok thank you I will definitely watch this video.
Nice tutorial. Great teacher. How much brake fluid typically comes out when you press in the Pistons?
Barely enough to fill half the soft clear tube for the bleeder bottle!

I appreciate that so much!!! Absolutely, this is the kit I used on the front: amzn.to/4igeFDq
Faye, FYI, the quality bolt from the Toyota Prius is a grade 8 bolt.
Thank You, Faye!
You're so welcome!! 😄
Love the video ❤❤❤

I enjoy the tundra's, Tacoma's, and 4runners
@@brettperkins4643 Good for you. For the rest of us, we want to see the smaller vehicles.
Especially the supercharged Tacoma
hey faye......from tacoma
Well hello there!! 👋
Put those on my wifes audi. Excellent product
Because you caught yourself on that water spinning on the brake orientation thing I laugh 😆
Good save and move on
😂😂😂
What's your experience with motor trend Warner Bro auto show collapse?

I need to post my Tacoma rebuild video series. Still brand new to UA-cam. If I can sell the Supra, I’ll get a computer to edit them
Don’t care lol
@ thats ok. I subscribed to your channel to learn more. Thanks for posting good information
There's enough rust that it looks like that truck is from NH!
So who's responsibility is it to bed the pads? The Shop Or Customer?
Now I know to scrape my rust and that I’d be scared of giant Texas sized grubs too! Yikes
Faye…. We know you are badass but please remove your wheels when the vehicle is just off the ground 👊🏼❤️
Easier chest height for me, less back breaking
So has All Girls Garage been Cancelled? It’s not on Me toe Trend
That's rust on that break that you show that's hardly nothing in Michigan that's actually normal on my last brake job
Nice vedio but I get my brakes from Tommy boy.
at 24:17 top line facing to the back of the vehicle but the bottom line facing forward... You have to make your comment idiot proof.
