The end of the franc as legal tender comes as the single European currency suffers its worst crisis in its ten year existence.
Its potential break-up is no longer taboo amongst commentators.
According to one opinion poll, the French are nostalgic for the franc - one in three would like to return to their former currency.
Keep your franks. Once day you can give them to your grand kids and tell them stories about the past when france was free.

@Damienm7 They will have difficult times. The Euro will not crash tomorrow though, it will crash sooner or later. France and Germany will use it as long as they can as they are most invested in it.
These Francs have great Numismatic value now.
Not really, theyre all available at less than the former exchange rate. A 50 franc note for example is around 2€
@@bendixytp6832 Trust me, I've sold hundreds of them already since 2015 when I started selling banknotes on eBay. The most important thing is their condition.
