Gave this a go and it took 3 hours to install for the first time. You would think Yale would make it easy to install. But not they make it difficult so you pay an expert to come in and install it. Once set up its working perfectly now. Found putting the barrel in difficult and all the screws and juggling it to match up and fit.
excellent video, but at time 13:46 I noticed the Lock flashed red and made more sounds, did it lock you in ???? 😂 In my opinions you should have still kept the door open like when you first started, either way again excellent video 👍🏻
Hello mate, great video. I was wondering if you help me I’ve snapped all the lugs on conexixs smart lock. Would you know where I got get some. Many thnaks John
I am looking to do this in reverse (ie. remove a Connexis lock becaase I hate it!) and put in a standard key lock. Is it as simple as unscrewing and replacing with a standard Yale handle and cylinder, or will it be more complicated than that?
After recently viewing many Conexis L1 reviews I decided to install one of these myself. UA-cam just recommended your video to me (the old algorithm at work). Although my installation went smoothly I watched anyway out of curiosity. Now then, I'm not a troll, in fact, I never really comment on any videos, but, your installation method is riddled with mistakes that could confuse a lot of people that aren't confident with DIY (your target audience I guess). I imagine you are aware of some of your errors but you didn't explain them. I'm not going to list them but at 9:07 you did something that will frustrate some of your viewers using this video as guidance. It is clear to see that when the door edge is facing the camera the centre of the exterior handle is way off that black alignment tool you used on the interior backplate installation. That alignment tool is to ensure exactly the opposite of what you demonstrated, that both exterior and interior handles are perfectly aligned by using the supplied square bar that connects both handles as it passes through the square hole in the middle of that alignment tool. This is the reason you had to keep adjusting that interior backplate. No doubt you had to adjust it again to include that square bar in the next segment. People need videos like yours and being honest about your errors so viewers don't make the same mistakes will help more than you appreciate and increase your subscriber count.
Good shout Tony. I am sure the alignment is the reason he got an error message when he tried to complete installation :). At this stage, I was waiting patiently to see how he completes reset and clear error but he didn't....I am stuck at this stage myself and scouring youtube for how someone fixes it as have completed multiple resets but no joy....even with Yale sending me a guide! So any tips on how you fixed that long winded beep when you were testing before pairing the fob will be great! Edit: Mine is an L2 btw.
I've seen such mixed reviews on this lock. Figured I would give it a try and it keeps giving me alignment errors, but I cannlock it manually. Any ideas?
The battery's are not as strong as you are, it sounds like the lock isn't quite alighned and the batteries can't force it, where as you can. Having read many reviews I often see what appear to be installation issues being reflected on the lock, if it installed correctly it works really well, although there are better options on the market now. It may be worth having a locksmith take a look.
@@home.network.solutions I may have figured it out that I had the pin in too far on the actuator. As far as better things out now. I still haven't really seen a true multi point smart lock. I was using nf a Nukin which is basically a key turner.
Can you set this up for 'geo-fencing' so that the lock will unlock automatically when you get within the boundary of the property, say (save having to fiddle about using the app, fobs etc)?
Omg you can code new keys using a tool through the letter box! WTF! just scan on the outside then go through letter box and hold the button and your in. That is absolute garbage!
Terrible lock due to many software flaws. Never buy it, unless you want problems with your app even on different devices and systems (ios or android). There are better alternatives i.e. codelocks.
Yeah I'd tend to agree, it's not a great lock. It seems Yale made the software then didn't bother looking at it again. No heard of codelocks. I'll check them out.

Official Yale video says to use both white sprigs in the lock. 👍🏻

Yeah, you will need yale access module and bridge
You should put the handle lever through before you fit the alignment jig
Hi just got this lock but can't get it to lock have followed all the procedures any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
Paul
what was it?
Did you get it to work. As I have just installed and then I try locking it all I can hear is spinning and it’s not locking. Any help?
Hows this holding up after all these years
Pretty good actually. It’s moved to another door but still works fine.
Thanks for the update. I was looking to get one for the internal door to the garage. If it fails, at least i have the garage door still shut
Instructions say don’t close the door until its been fitted and tested... just for any viewers following this...
That's true, but it is easy enough to get the door open again in most cases.

You’ve got the getter case off, find the button and then press it. If someone wants to get in that bad, it’s easier to break a window etc
You can only pair the "master" key (card/tag) like that. All subsequent keys have to be paired using the app

I wouldn’t recommend using this video to install this product as it was littered with mistakes.
Exactly, was tearing my hair out!
