I grate my butter first prior to starting the recipe & pull it out of the freezer as you need it. Works perfectly & no worries of a warm kitchen softening the butter too soon.
Hi Marie, Who doesn’t love biscuits! I know I sure do! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. I wish I had a few of them right about now. See you soon and take care, Dolores 🥰

Hi Carolyn! Thanks so much for watching and taking time to leave a note - always love to hear from viewers 🥰 So happy to hear your family enjoyed the hand pies! There’s a pumpkin version too that I posted last week if you want to check it out. That one includes some fun decorations too! I’ll put cranberry scones on my list, thanks for the idea 😊 Hugs, Marie
We love buttermilk biscuits. I'll be making them tomorrow. They look so perfect and you can't go wrong with such an easy recipe. I was recently introduced to a spread of 1tbsp. butter with about a tsp. or more of molasses. This is a such a tasty, wonderful spread and is delightful on biscuits. Try it. Very nice. Thank you for your recipe, Marie.❤
Hi Joan! I can’t wait for you to try them! The spread with butter and molasses sounds incredible!! Thanks for sharing 💕 and thanks so much for the comment 😊 Big hugs, Marie
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! Yes you can double the recipe, but I prefer to each batch separately, one after another. It can’t be hard to mix the butter and flour when you are working with so much at a time. Hope that helps! Hugs, Marie
Hi Janice! You know, I’m not quite sure if she did 🤔 I was younger when she made them (and she liked to have them ready when we arrived), so I rarely saw her actually making them. I don’t think hers had as many layers as mine do though. Hers were a bit more dense. Still delicious though! Thanks for watching ❤️, Marie
Do you have a recipe for cakes, carrots 🥕, apples 🍎 or devils food cake? I know it’s a little elaborate not quick but maybe easy? If you do, I think they would be great. I hope.
Hi Leslie! I do have a recipe for carrot cake that is ⭐️ fabulous ⭐️ and pretty easy too! Here’s a link: ua-cam.com/video/B0B_UN2RYBI/v-deo.htmlsi=FBFHkfUkupGxWLxY I’ll add devil’s food to my to-do list! Thanks for watching ❤️, Marie
Hi, thanks for the video but I'd like to ask a question (you said you dont mind questions) - does all that pressing and folding not activate the gluten which you were trying to avoid? ❤
The biscuits are great, but my son wants english muffins. Can you help anyway to make a video please? And thank you. Plus it'll save me from having to go to mcdonald's
Hi Mary! So lovely to hear from you! And all the way from Africa! Amazing 🤩 Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to leave a note 🥰 Yes, you can use ordinary milk. If you can, would be best to add a little (maybe 2 teaspoons) mild vinegar or lemon juice to replicate the acid in buttermilk. Or a little yogurt mixed into the milk would make a nice buttermilk. Hope that helps and thanks again for watching ❤️, Marie
I love biscuits! Lol My grandmother made excellent biscuits. She used a evaporated milk can, that she cut both ends
off, to cut her biscuits out!
Hi Connie! Oh I love that! So resourceful 🙌🏼 Thanks for sharing and for watching ❤️, Marie

Did your grandmother use the folding technique? I think it really helps with the layers.
