Hey Ivan, great walk around video. I live in Silicon Valley. I know of two others in San Francisco and San Jose. I am the third owner of my 75k mile example. Love it! I commute on it and sometimes take it on group rides.
Thanks for sharing, that's unfortunate the cargo space is trash. Was really hoping it would be useful and be practical for touring without adding additional bags/box carrier because I like the way it looks as is. I was going to get one but change mind after seeing so many complain about the lack for cargo space
Ivan , thanks for the video on the NM4 . While I like the bike with the automatic transmission the lack of storage and that windshield is a deal breaker for me . TheReaper!
Thanks for the video. Like a few others, my interest went down the drain when I saw the storage. Think I going to end up with the ctx700d instead and just buy a throw over saddle bags and tail bag for probably 4 times the amount of storage.
to take a passenger you need to leave the seat back rest all the way up and add a new think larger removeable, straped on Foam seat section and/or air hawk seat, mounted to the rear that way you have a lot thicker more comfortable foam for the passenger seat that is not so hard and you still have a full backrest.
Great info video. Too bad you can't trust the gas indicator, and the storage being so small. 61 mpg is a selling point. Soooo, with 183 miles supposedly on one tank and you are only getting 120ish, I'll stick with my 2003 Shadow and keep looking for another bigger bike. Maybe the Interstate. Thanks bro. Good review.
Thankyou for showing the bike.I like the DCT on the NM4 but the lack of storage for a helmet and the price make me rather to get a Yamaha FJ09.I know what your saying. It is a unique cool bike that is being built in limited quantity and who knows may be a collector's bike one day.Though with the DCT I rather have the Honda VFR1200F.
great job on the review... weird bike. Reminds me of the Rune bike they built. It never took off in the sales dept. A bike dealer friend tells me the Japanese love the Rune. They come to U.S. based bike auctions looking to buy them and ship them back home. I wonder if this will meet the same fate.
Thanks for all the info on pt.1! Another question, are the bags removable at all?? I absolutely LOVE the look of this bike, so unique. I found a rear passenger low profile backrest with rack on ebay for like $100. Doing some research, I guess there's inly 500 of these in the US, talk about rare!
Unlike normal touring or cruisers, the bags cannot be easily removed. They're integrated into the body with wires and lights. It is POSSIBLE to remove them if you're welling to spend a lot of time on all the manual labor since people with the NM4-01 can add on the bags, so you can reverse the process. The backrest you mentioned is just the cowl, the complete kit with the actual backrest and rack costs over $500USD. It is a great add-on for passenger comfort and security, but I think the price is a little ridiculous for a couple pieces of metal and a cushion lol
+ivanbb91126 why did they force the US version NM4-02 to have fixed panniers and lower cc? If the point of its invention was to attract a younger biker crowd, which worked because I love the futuristic anime look, but then why fix luggage to it and lower the speed for the older cruiser crowd? Is it possible to get a NM4-01 in the states? All I see on cycletrader are fixed luggage 02. I swear the Japanese make great evolutionary products, but they over think the American versions and fuck it up. I like it regardless even with the panniers, but I would rather without, at least shouldve been removable. I was so set on getting one, even over the Diavel and the K1300S, but its gotta be the 01 Vulcan like the concept prototype. Otherwise Im like fuck it, might as well save up more for a Polaris Slingshot for the bat experience. Same thing happened with the Acura ZDX, a true SUV coupe, but they made it slower and rides like a boat, so everyone bought the BMW X6 instead for the speed and driving dynamics, forcing Acura to discontinue it. They really underestimate our need for speed and driving dynamics. They make these cool future concepts, release them, but with much slower engines than the competition. sigh, so frustrated.
Wished all bike manufacturers would make there available the option of the now twin front road wheels concept, something like those found on Italian makes of Quadro,Piaggio,Gilera & French Peugeot's scooters. A probable initiative that could open-up a what was previously self restricted market of individuals who also love bikes but are,be they too inexperienced or too nerve-wrecking at the notion of getting badly injured or killed from any resultant fall/crash,owing much to the usually unstable nature of going on 2 wheeled motorcycles. If the multitudes of worldwide bike manufacturers are willing to embrace that new approach & introduce the technically not too complicated method from the current age-old & unsafe design in having only a single road wheel in front at the forks to making a transition to the 2 front wheels,as the Italians & French successfully had in recent. Will see a marked improvement of motorcycle markets opening-up,as the advanced in age (senior-older) biking enthusiasts, the inexperienced first-timer rookies & some female enthusiasts all flocking to the availability of such much safer machines. What I'm saying here, isn't even that the manufacturers need to come-up with an entirely whole new different segment, but only so much the forward frame structure that go to accommodate this mentioned purpose-built mechanism. Now,it is only up to all these manufacturers,if any has the courage to take-up this recommended development,as only so much an addition to their usual line-up,not as a direct replacement to the time honored 2 wheeler.
I Absolutely would NOT buy one if it were ANY other Color than Black I would have to have it repainted, copper would be a good color. I Hate Black Bikes with a passion, Only color that I would Not Buy is Black
+Gary West what an odd stance, black is the color of alpha, power, bad ass, some people pick other colors just to stand out more for attention. Id rather ninja stealth, and black is known to be the most attractive color on a guy to girls, but its just science, depends on your status, do you want a puss magnet or are you retired
Thank you for the Informative videos (parts 1 and 2). What a strange concept. Cruiser / scooter hybrid basically. I wouldn't mind riding one though and I agree, the exhaust is a bit flashy. Carbon fiber Yoshi should do the trick.
"Don't think you can use this bike for long journeys because you can't fit anything". Haven't you ever heard of top cases? For real man. I would drive this bike from New York to California! AFTER adding a Top Case.
you have one of the best english review up on this still! thanks for the upload man big respect to your effort
Great video! Thanks so much for your two great walkaround videos. I'm thinking of getting one.

Thanks for posting this review, not much out there when it comes to this bike.
Really cool looking bike. Although the luggage areas are seriously wasted.

I just got one 6 months ago I love it

Any video rides?
Yeah, I guess I can forget this for a camping bike
Would a helmet fit in the rear storage?

It's available in India too Honda nm4 2016 bike
What about under the seat?
THANKS for the video. i think i will look for the 600cc silverwing instead
Wouldn't the passenger need a backrest or else they'd might slide and fly right off?Looks really uncomfortable for any passenger.

😍👍
Bigger compartment space is probably the most complaints about the bike. Honda should offer bigger compartment sizes.
I just bought one

good dammit, I tough that you can fit a helmet in to these side bags, but these are so tiny...
I pulled trailer with my 750 cc
Thanks for doing a US English speaking review. Definitely got tired of clicking on links only to find out they are not English.
