It's the greatest line of the movie, in my opinion. McCall got the got ahead from the State Department to dismantle the entire Russian gang including its leader in Russia.
@@hughjorg4008 I agree with it being the best line of the movie. Also I never really thought about it being getting permission for the everything. I always just thought about it being permission to take the one guy out, but your alternative makes so much more sense. He wouldn't need permission to defend himself, but he would need it to cross international lines to remove Pushkin.
I saw this in the theater and the best coincidence ever happened. When he blew up the ship.. the power went out in the theater, everyone thought it was some kind of effect.. turns out it was just a strong wind storm. I got to go back the next day and watch it again lol.
At our local flea pit, was watching ALIEN, and just as the creature bursts out of the stomach at the dinner table and scurries away, the popwer in the town went out, cinema plunged into darkness... great timing :)
I think he likes the character and sees McCall as someone we can admire and learn from. However, the second installment was not nearly as good, and now there's a third when I feel like Washington is past the age to be as believable doing this kind of role demanding such physical powers. I question the value of doing a third installment, and I don't think it serves the message we get very well from the first film.
@@1515cciMan on Fire is so close to McCall that a lot of people thought it was the same character. Instead of driving for Uber hes a bodyguard, so a bit closer to home. 😊

This and the sequel were my Dad’s favorite movies. We were going to see the third one this fall when it comes out but I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer on the 30th of June. I plan on watching the third one with him at his grave-I figured he would like that. I’m glad you are watching these. Great movies!
The thing I loved about the original 1985-89 TV show was that McCall usually didn't take money as payment. But if he helped you, he may call on you at some future date, and you had to do whatever he asked of you. So basically, people he helped in one episode may show up again to do some minor, but necessary, action. Pay it forward.
No that was Stingray, a US action show from 1985 starring Nick Mancuso. He was a former Vietnam veteran and probably CIA spook with serious connections. His car was registered to the White House west coast car pool. He was the one who traded on favours. Get you out of a fix and one day come to you for help, usually involving helping a new "client" etc The original Equalise starring Edward Woodward ran from 1985 to 1989. I can't recall how or if he was paid. I think it was more along the lines of what you could reasonably afford and was frequently free of charge. Both Equaliser and Stingray were like one man A Teams.
@@hepchaos Oh I believe ya. I just find it odd that I was watching reruns of Stingray in the 70s and early 80s as a kid and there was a whole other show with exactly the same name.
At 7:24 "(the book I am reading now) is about a guy who is a knight in shining armor, except he lives in a world where knights don't exist anymore." Robert McCall is reading is *DON QUIXOTE* written by Miguel de Cervantes in 1605. It is often labelled as the first modern novel and one of the greatest works ever written.
@@Cookie-monkie93 Yes, revenge stories are as old as cinema. Still doesn't make what I said a John Wick reference. And since I'm the one who said it, you can maybe accept that I know exactly what I intended by my words. It's kind of stupid, telling me what reference I was making even after I tell you that, no, I was not making that reference.
Antoine Fuqua does such a great job directing material like this. "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg is also a pleasure to watch, and like most of Fuqua's work is highly rewatchable.
Antoine Fuqua is lowkey one of my favourite directors. Training Day is one of my favourite movies of all time. Tears Of The Sun was solid. The Equalizer movies and Olympus Has Fallen are all very entertaining, rewatchable action movies. The Magnificent Seven remake was decent too. I haven't seen his other movies yet though!
IMO, Fuqua has been one of the best directors in Hollywood for years. All of the films mentioned here are so enjoyable and, as you say, I've seen them many times. "Training Day" is an absolute masterpiece. As someone who spent much of my youth living in the hood, it's the most realistic film portrayal I've ever seen.
22:22 yes it will help, medicinal importance of honey has been documented in the world's oldest medical literatures, and since the ancient times, it has been known to possess antimicrobial property as well as wound-healing activity. The healing property of honey is due to the fact that it offers antibacterial activity, maintains a moist wound condition, and its high viscosity helps to provide a protective barrier to prevent infection. Its immunomodulatory property is relevant to wound repair too. The antimicrobial activity in most honeys is due to the enzymatic production of hydrogen peroxide. The medical grade honeys have potent in vitro bactericidal activity against antibiotic-resistant bacteria causing several life-threatening infections to humans.
Yep. First guys who used honey as an antiseptic iirc were the Ancient Egyptians. Pretty much any culture that used honey in their daily lives throughout history made honey poultices for cuts, burns, and various open-skin injuries.
Cayenne pepper can also stop a bleeding wound as well. I keep a vial of liquid Cayenne in the house. It will also stop a heart attack better than aspirin
The Equalizer was a 1985 TV series on CBS starring Edward Woodward (a British actor), a former spy with a Jaguar XJ car with spy gadgets, helping normal folks in New York. A real edgy vigilante vibe to it. It won TV drama Emmy in 86', Edward Woodward was nominated best actor for the four seasons the show was on, but he did not win.
I always liked that show in high school until I was watching it in syndication years later with my husband and he kept making fun of Edward Woodward, saying things about him fighting in his leather loafers. lol
It could be argued that the character was based on his 1960/70s spy/assassin Callan. This was a great TV series Edward Woodward was also superb in the original Wicker Man ( 1970) - the good one. Also Hot Fuzz 😊😊😊😊😊
Man on Fire is a must-see Denzel movie (honestly, I can't really think of any movie of his that ISN'T a must-see at this point, dude knows how to pick his scripts). It's my absolute favorite movie of his. Fallen and Training Day are also pretty amazing.
As someone who has edited for the channel in the past, I’ll say this: it’s not the editing. Cassie’s just a true joy to watch. She and Ben are great people.
@@Croweyes1121 I've always been curious about the editing. Not so much this movie, but a lot of the earlier ones, it struck me that the big reaction moments are all you need to tell the story. I don't know if it's the quality of the story telling of the film that makes it easy, or the editor was really selective in what reaction moments to use. I haven't seen a full-length reaction from Cassie, so I don't know what she's doing in the other moments. I watched some other react vids, and Cassie's are really good. It's not just her reaction, but it becomes a good synopsis video, too.
@@johnnybraccia452 Yeah, exactly. What makes Cassie’s videos so good is the editing style for sure. Her videos are better than others for many reasons, but one of the big ones is that their philosophy is that you should be able to follow the film watching the UA-cam edits. That’s actually a tough balancing act as an editor, because you have to A. Get every major story beat in the film, B. Get all of Cassie’s big reactions (along with what she’s reacting TO), and C. Not let any shot last more than five seconds to get around copyright issues. It’s actually pretty intensive editing work, but it was a lot of fun once I got the hang of it. I’m sincerely hoping they’ll have room for me on the team again someday. They were a joy to work for.
@@Croweyes1121 Thanks for the input. I always wondered what the copyright limits were. Is there also a _total_ amount that must be respected? I've heard from someone else that it's ten minutes, but I'm not sure how reliable the source was.
This line is so underrated, no one talks about it, yet it's so powerful for me : "He didn't come for help. He came for permission." Gave goosebum every time. That meant Mr.MCall would know or get it done anyway without Susan's help. He just want to let the agency know who his next target is. If Puskin is one of the Agency's informants or "people", it would be a mess to suddenly kill him.
I also love this line in the movie. However, I always took it as permission to go back on his promise to his wife. Susan gave him permission to go do what he felt had to be done. Just my opinion. What do you think?
What I LOVE about this guy is that he always gives people the chance to do the right thing. He gives them a way out, before he tears them apart. And they always deserve whatever he dishes up.
Anyone that said The Equalizer wasnt good doesn't have a clue what good is....lol. Im really looking forward to the 3rd movie coming out later this year.
Honey is not only delicious and nutritious, it's also resistant to bacterial growth. Soldiers have been using it to dress their wounds for thousands of years.
Yep, it's why people say (properly preserved) honey never goes bad. Technically it can go bad, but it's acidity and low moisture levels makes it very difficult for bacteria to survive in it. During the excavation of the tomb of Tutankhamun from Ancient Egypt in 1922, archaeologists discovered jars of honey that had been preserved alongside Tutankhamun, and to their surprise found the honey hadn't spoiled and was in fact still edible. 3000 years old honey.
Hot Honey increases oxygen presence in the blood, increasing healing and wound clotting. It also prevents bacteria and chemicals that hamper healing. It's a age old healing method, still recognised today.
You should add Man On Fire to your list. Similar to this but the little girl is played by Dakota Fanning and he's actively protecting her throughout the movie.
To answer your question. . .no, not super powers. Just a real life special forces trick for slowing down your heart rate, and scanning a room for threats. Saw Denzel in an interview for this were he trained with some SAS and Seals and they taught him about all kinds of cool things like that.
One of the best action movies made in more recent years! Even the very last scene is a very important cliffhanger. They will show you just who needed help in the very beginning of The Equalizer 2,its very touching. What i loved most about this movie was Robert and Elenas deep connection, when Robert noticed a bruise on her,she told him "it was someone stupid". So when Robert beat up and destroyed those who hurt her,his explanation was "i hit it on something stupid". And dont worry, the stories gets better and better with theese movies. They think of everything,i love how they build his story, leave you wanting to learn more about him, while getting to know about his values in life etc. Just overall brilliant storytelling and movie productions!
Denzel plays a pretty tough guy in the 2004 version of the film "Man on Fire" which is a remake of a 1984(?) version of the same story. Honey has been used as an antiseptic salve for wounds since prehistory I assume boiling it first gets rid of any bacteria that has landed on it. Good reaction. You picked up on the story pretty quick.
Anyone find it weird how it's kind of a trend to have a white child/teen actress in a Denzel Washington movie? From Remember the Titans (Hayden Panettiere), Man on Fire (Dakota Fanning, also gonna be in the 3rd Equalizer movie), and The Equalizer (Chloe Grace Moretz)? Heck even Inside Man stars Jodie Foster, a former child actress. Not sure what the studios intentions are but I find that something to take as too perfect to be just a coincidence....
@@Delphar There ares bacteria and virus motes floating through the air everywhere so the honey surface exposed to air might have some on it. I really have no idea why he would boil it. Man in Fire is my fav Denzel movie. The Equalizer movies are really great too. You're getting much better at watching the gruesome kill scenes 😉 Super proud of you! 💛

Lmao Loved that cold ass "Equalize him!". The comparisons between McCall n Mr. Wick are gonna happen and this movie came out few months before the first John Wick so I think this gets overshadowed a bit in peoples memory. Not just revenge but helping people. Cant wait for #3!
McCall was played by an elderly white gentleman in the original series. I used to laugh my butt off every time some youngster tried to talk to him like he was someone's grandfather. Not wise. That usually resulted in a world-class beating.
I think its definitely time for Cassie to see "Man on Fire" but its one I would love Carly to be present for as well. Think it would be a fantastic react to have both of them reacting to it, especially when we only get one chance to show it to Cassie. My favprite part about this movie is that he gives all the bad guys a chance to do the right thing before hurting them. It almost never works, but he offers it anyway. Compassion and justice are a powerful pairing.
I don’t think Cassie would enjoy “Man on Fire” knowing how she has responded to other films. Just my opinion. However, I think she would *LOVE* “Deja Vu.” Based on how she has reacted to other sci-fi action thrillers, along with other elements that she has enjoyed from other films on her channel, I’m confident that she would really dig “Deja Vu.” Fingers crossed that she adds it to her queue. 🤞😃
Equalizer II fills in more of Robert McCall's story. Enjoy. Thanks, I enjoy watching some of my favorite movies with you and often your sister. I'm 72 and after my youngest daughter bought her small farm two years ago I live alone and it feels good to share these memories and entertainment. Equalizer III will be out soon. look forward to sharing the next two with you.
"Equalize them"....love it! ( btw, honey had been used for healing wounds...anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants and its thickness created a barrier like a bandage.)
Good reaction, Cassie. This movie and the character were actually based on 'The Equalizer' TV show from the 1980s which ran for 4 seasons from 1985 to 1989.
Fellow fans, I was actually concerned for Cassie on this one. I was afraid that innocence might not survive the brutality...then she just whipped out the double hand guns and let those words of infamy fly, "Equalize him"! I guess she's okay!!! 😁😁😁
She has changed considerably since she first started this channel. Her sister is more akin to what she used to be like. She rarely looks away from violent scenes these days.
I think the people who came up with the Home Mart fight at the end are like me. Every time I've walked into a hardware store, I've pictured how I'd use all the things in there as improvised weapons. So getting to see all those fantasies played out is always fun.
This movie in my honest opinion is one of the best denzel performances hands down. The first Equalizer is such a great action espionage type of film. Denzel played Robert Mcall so well. I'm glad you enjoyed it cassie. I still need to watch the 2nd one and I do hope you watch the 2nd one as well. Take care Cassie and visiting your family is always a good thing.
He's ex-CIA and the woman in the big house was his boss at the agency as well as a good friend of his as well as his late wife. You get more in depth background in Equalizer 2.
This isn't the first time Denzel and the director of this movie, Antoine Fuqua did a movie together. They did a dark cop adventure movie called Training day back in 2001, which earned Denzel an Oscar. One of my favorite movies of all time, but lets just say you would need Carly to watch it with you should decide too. Great stuff Cassie, as always
3:43 that's Chloe Grace Moretz, the actress from the Kick-ass films 🙂 The villain is I believe Martin Csokas, from the LOTR trilogy and Aeonflux. The senator is Bill Pullman, the actor who played the US President in the Independence Day and ID: Resurgence sequels.😊 Watch Equalizer 2 and soon, E3🙂
Man on Fire is superb for this kind of film, as well. Denzel is great in it, obviously. Plus, Cassie, if you read this, and I’m guessing you won’t, I’ll take a chance and leave this here as well. You need to see “Tin Cup” w/ Kevin Costner. I promise you, it’s going to be your absolute favorite movie. It’s the perfect “Cassie Movie”, after observing what you really enjoy. I promise. I’m not the only one, either. I’m actually kind of surprised that you don’t know it, because if you did, you’d have mentioned it, which, of course, you have not.
I actually like this better than John Wick…it just has more heart and you see how genuine of a man he is. Plus as awesome of a person Keanu is, he cannot act like Denzel can. Man is an amazing actor!
I liked *THE EQUALIZER* a lot more than *JOHN WICK* since the Equalizer is American and he's protecting us from criminal gangs including Russian criminals and Russian hitmen like, for example, Teddy or John Wick
Not all honey is equal, but the good stuff, its been used medicinally for centuries. It has antibacterial properties, anti inflammatory properties, aids in faster healing, and cleanly seals the wound without cutting off air to it completely like many bandages do. Good stuff. I don't know what Canada's medical org is but you can find studies and information on it on the NIH, WebMD, and the top 5 medical universities have all done studies at some point on it too which are available publically.
The Craigslist ad at the end was a terrific nod to McCall's newspaper Personals ad in the (original, 80's) TV show. "Odds against you? Need help? Call the Equalizer." I'm sure fans of all ages will have opinions about which is better. Great fodder for the comments algorithm! I don't wanna spoil anything, but they explain more about his background in the sequel. It's slightly different from the former agency in either of the TV series. Definitely worth a watch. Great video tonight!
Lots of folks think Denzel took out the Russian with a nail gun. Sort of. What McCall was using is known as a "Ramset" nailer, which uses a .22 caliber blank to shoot short nails into concrete which holds metal wall framing track in place. Much more forceful than a regular nail gun. Cassie, McCall formerly worked for the CIA, and became disillusioned with the job.
Thank you, Cleek, it's great to learn about the "Ramset" nailer. Also, McCall got the permission for the CIA to eliminate the entire Russian gang including its leader in Moscow.
This is the only movie Denzel has made a sequel to in his whole career. Obviously #3 is coming out soon and many are speculating this character is the same as "Man on Fire" as he's reuniting w Dakota Fanning, the girl he protected in said movie.
I’m gonna suggest The Pelican Brief with Denzel and Julia Roberts. Also, if you want to get into more John Grisham, I really love the Client with Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon… that’s one of my favorite movies
Training Day was another great Denzel starring role(I think he won an oscar for that role). It's dark though, so if you watch or react to it, be fore warned. The ending is cathartic tho. That's the only part of the movie I watch now
This is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. I think you’d rate this as action, psychological action. Between Die Hard, John Wick and The Equalizer movies, it’s an all day marathon! You have to check out the movie The Accountant. I think you’d absolutely love that movie too! It’s not about accounting either.
Thank you for this reaction. Equalizer 2 feeds you a little more information on his background.. People who didn't like this movie probably talk on their smart phones in restaurants and don't put their shopping carts away in the corrals in parking lots.
To me, Denzel's best movie is "Man On Fire." He plays an "Equalizer" character, but more realistic/more flawed. Not only is Denzel fantastic, Dakota Fanning is incredible. They play to the relationship between Denzel and Fanning. This is the best of "I'm going to make you pay."
This was originally a tv series, the idea was that people with no means reached out to him and he helped them with his special op skills, every episode a new case. They allude to this in the closing scene, where a stranger writes him an email asking for help. So ”the equalizer” is the guy who levels the playing field for people who can’t fend for themselves in the face of evil.
man on fire is his best action movie. who ever said equalizer sucks dont ever need to suggest a movie because denzel never misses. this came out before john wick in the same year.

Great reaction Cassie, had a lot of fun, really enjoyed the full length which was also my first time watching lol! I'm glad you saw my comment on North By Northwest about my Classic Live Action Disney movie poll and that you'll consider it! Like I said though, those were just the movies that came to mind for me because I grew up watching them all my life, but I'm sure you'll love each and every one of them! As promised, here are my movie theme reaction recommendations for the story of King Arthur, like you did with Robin Hood! The following I recommend are: First Knight (1995) King Arthur (2004) The Sword In The Stone (1963) Excalibur (1981) Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) First Knight stars Sean Connery and Richard Gere! King Arthur stars Clive Owen and Keira Knightley! The Sword in the Stone is a Disney animated film, one of the last Walt Disney personally worked on before he past away several years later, you'll love that one, it's one of my favorite classics next to Sleeping Beauty and I'M SHOCKED YOU NEVER SEEN IT LOL🤣 Excaliber is arguably one of the more accurate dipictions of the story of King Arthur and stars a young Liam Nesson and Helen Miren! Last but not least Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a British comedy spoof on the story with so many quotable one-liners and it's hilarious, I'm sure you might like it even if you don't understand the humor, but I think it's a classic! Hope you'll react to these movies some day, can't wait lol! Love and support to you and Carly as always, hope you made it home safely, you (and Carly) are the best, God bless you and Carly and the rest of the family, and as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉👍🙏🌹
Bit of a mixed bag there in terms of quality, personally I'd recommend A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1949) starring Bing Crosby and Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Terry Gilliams' The Fisher King (1991), David Lowery's brilliant The Green Knight (2021) or even the family friendly romp of The Kid Who Would Be King (2019)
One and two are both awesome. Watched many times. I just loved the humanity and pain in his eyes and how he uses that to genuinely help people. Also loved the 80s tv series back in my high school days.
It wasn't a nail gun. Lots of people mistake the two, it was a concrete nail charged nail gun that uses gunpowder and gunpowder that is similar to a firearm. That's why he had to re-rack the charge each time he fired, a nail gun has a stack of nails that you load in, and uses an compressor to fire the nails into the wood.
It's all good with the action scenes but what I loved about this movie is how good Robert is at building relationships, and it makes the audience want to know these people better. ETA: This is one of the few stories where this type of villain (Slavi & the russians) really get what they truly deserve in Life. Another one is The Punisher: The SLavers storyline. Talk about carnage and well deserved, bloody retribution. Written by Garth Ennis (creator of The Boys). I hope (and at the same time I dread) that they adapt that one right someday, because Bernthal is great as the Punisher and he would totally tear that role up in that particular storyline.
Yes, the original was great. However, the main difference is in the original, he worked as a P.I. and he did Cold War spy stuff, rather than special forces type stuff. :)
I don't remember the Pi part but he was some sort of ex British agent. He would place an ad in the paper offering to help with problems. Denzel posts a Web ad in this version at the end. Am NV glad to be old enough to remember the original and would lover to find it again. The queen Latifah didn't sit well with me.
They kinda said who he used to work for The Agency (CIA: Central Intelligence Agency) is a nickname, as is The Company. He uses the skills learned from there to help people in tough situations. So far I seen his 2 movies (3rd coming out soon) and the newer series starring Queen Latifah as the female version of this character who has a teenage daughter.
The Equalizer was released a few months before John Wick. John Wick was about vengeance and came equipped to get the job done. Robert McCall was more about redemption from a past that haunted him. He improvised with whatever he had access to.
I’ve seen both Equalizer films at this point and while I’ve never gotten into them, I am looking forward to the third one since Dakota Fanning is in it, thus giving us a Man on Fire reunion.
Cassie As you know now, Robert McCall (Denzel) was an operative for CIA in his past life. Robert retired from that life after his wife died. He thought that he left that life behind him, but his friend, Alina (Chloe) got hurt by her Russian pimp. Now, pimp's boss sent his operative to neutralize Robert.

I plan on watching the third one with him at his grave-I figured he would like that. I’m glad you are watching these. Great movies!

I'm so sorry you lost your Dad before the third movie came out. Great that you will honor him by watching it at his grave.
I am sorry for your loss. Glad you got to see 2 with your Dad. I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer in 2007.
Get you out of a fix and one day come to you for help, usually involving helping a new "client" etc
The original Equalise starring Edward Woodward ran from 1985 to 1989. I can't recall how or if he was paid. I think it was more along the lines of what you could reasonably afford and was frequently free of charge. Both Equaliser and Stingray were like one man A Teams.
Basically a concept stolen from The Shadow, which was an old radio play, serial and comic, dating back to the 1940s
@@tonygreenfield7820 That's odd, a 1985 live action show with the same name as a puppet show similar to Thunderbirds from the 1960s....
@@swoop1352 - Well the show's name was in reference to the 1965 Stingray Corvette the character drove. Maybe the car was a fan of the puppet show.

Cassie's benevolence is boundless.
Thank you for reminding me about Shooter.
I like to think that Robert is reformed Alonzo, who survived getting gunned down.
From corrupt cop to legitimate force for justice
Tears of the Sun and Olympus Has Fallen are great too
22:22 yes it will help, medicinal importance of honey has been documented in the world's oldest medical literatures, and since the ancient times, it has been known to possess antimicrobial property as well as wound-healing activity.

I always liked that show in high school until I was watching it in syndication years later with my husband and he kept making fun of Edward Woodward, saying things about him fighting in his leather loafers. lol
It use to come on CBS at 9pm. My mother you to watch it every monday.
It could be argued that the character was based on his 1960/70s spy/assassin Callan. This was a great TV series
Edward Woodward was also superb in the original Wicker Man ( 1970) - the good one.
Also Hot Fuzz 😊😊😊😊😊
And his son was played by William Zabka. Johnny Lawrence from the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai:)
@@ohmightywez We watched and enjoyed The Equalizer in it's original run, but sadly never stumbled upon it via syndication.

Man on Fire is a must-see Denzel movie (honestly, I can't really think of any movie of his that ISN'T a must-see at this point, dude knows how to pick his scripts). It's my absolute favorite movie of his. Fallen and Training Day are also pretty amazing.

Kudos to whoever does your editing. Your personality added to the excellent editing is the reason yours is my favorite movie reaction site on UA-cam.
As someone who has edited for the channel in the past, I’ll say this: it’s not the editing. Cassie’s just a true joy to watch. She and Ben are great people.
Here, here!
One of Denzel's underrated movies ever is "Fallen"
It's such an interesting take on that type of story. It's an excellent mystery!
Love that movie!
Or, The Hurricane. A often slept on film of his.
Love that movie. Got this The Exorcist vibe where you never know where its gonna go ?
This line is so underrated, no one talks about it, yet it's so powerful for me :
"He didn't come for help. He came for permission."
Gave goosebum every time.
Denzel and Dakota Fanning in Man on Fire is a good one also,
What I LOVE about this guy is that he always gives people the chance to do the right thing. He gives them a way out, before he tears them apart.
And they always deserve whatever he dishes up.
Anyone that said The Equalizer wasnt good doesn't have a clue what good is....lol.
Im really looking forward to the 3rd movie coming out later this year.
Comes out September 1st! Less than a month! Definitely excited for it!
Denzel carrying the whole franchise extremely hard.. without him, it would be very easy to see how bland and predictable it all is.
ODDS AGAINST YOU?
CALL THE EQUALIZER
This was the popular slogan of the TV show referencing McCall's advertisement on the newspapers.
@@Devilsnightforlife similar findings and puposes to olive oil.
This movie never gets enough recognition imo. It's one of my all time favs. Thanks for doing this one!
Hot Honey increases oxygen presence in the blood, increasing healing and wound clotting. It also prevents bacteria and chemicals that hamper healing. It's a age old healing method, still recognised today.
Yep, natural antibiotic properties also help honey stay shelf stable for years.
You picked up on the story pretty quick.
honey bby nature pulls moisture out of things it touches. so when bacteria land on it, the honey literally kills them by dehydration
Honey does not spoil, unless it is contaminated or poorly stored. The fact that it does not spoil means no bacteria in it.

By comparison, Wick was just a mindless shootem up. This movie has much more heart.
John wick is terrible lol
I liked *THE EQUALIZER* a lot more than *JOHN WICK* since the Equalizer is American and he's protecting us from criminal gangs including Russian criminals and Russian hitmen like, for example, Teddy or John Wick
Plus feels realistic instead of video game bs. Collateral beats them both imo. Wick is honestly trash
Need help? Call the Equalizer."
I'm sure fans of all ages will have opinions about which is better. Great fodder for the comments algorithm!
I don't wanna spoil anything, but they explain more about his background in the sequel. It's slightly different from the former agency in either of the TV series. Definitely worth a watch. Great video tonight!
The exchange between Denzel and Marton Csokas is an amazing scene, brilliantly acted.
Those are great choices. The client is just awesome, Tommy Lee Jones just nails those kinds of characters.

Equalizer 2 is one of my faves recently. Every time it’s on I watch it. So glad to see this one. Making popcorn now…
Literally saw an ad for Equalizer 3 not 20 seconds ago..
If you enjoyed The Equalizer, you will enjoy the sequel even better. Then you will be ready to see the release of E3 next month!
man on fire is his best action movie. who ever said equalizer sucks dont ever need to suggest a movie because denzel never misses. this came out before john wick in the same year.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
First Knight stars Sean Connery and Richard Gere!
Who on earth would use the words "not good at all" to describe The Equalizer? The world we live in, SMH.
Denzel's most bad ass role is in MAN ON FIRE!
Yes Indeed...what a movie!!!!!!!!!!!! one of the all time greats, must must see....
It's all good with the action scenes but what I loved about this movie is how good Robert is at building relationships, and it makes the audience want to know these people better.
ETA:
This is one of the few stories where this type of villain (Slavi & the russians) really get what they truly deserve in Life.
"The Equalizer" was a great television series in the 1980s.
You really need to check the original show out.
Robert McCall is ex-CIA.
@@gdiaz8827 I remember him doing some boring jobs in the background and turning down cheating spouse jobs as a PI
This is going to be a good one. Cassie will love Robert.
Cassie
As you know now, Robert McCall (Denzel) was an operative for CIA in his past life. Robert retired from that life after his wife died. He thought that he left that life behind him, but his friend, Alina (Chloe) got hurt by her Russian pimp. Now, pimp's boss sent his operative to neutralize Robert.
Honey is a natural antiseptic that soldiers used to use on the battlefield. Also, your concern for the sex- slave worker was admirable and gives you boo-coo cred with me and my guys.
Mask (1985)
A *true story* about unconditional love
A truly different sort of movie that makes you rethink life and what is really important
Not widely known, but everyone I introduce it to adores it and cannot believe they have never heard of it
Cher
Eric Stoltz
Sam Elliot
Laura Dern
There are two versions, short and long, the short version is fine
The Equalizer is an underrated and low-key one of my favorite modern action films. Denzel, great action sequences, and a great story make this a rewatch for me any time I see it air. (Also, very sorry you don't like tuna but that means more for me lol)
Love These Film's The Whole Trilogy is Just Fantastic DENZEL is His Usual BRILLIANT Self.
A brilliant film. Denzel Washington is just magnetic! Worth watching in anything he does. The second movie is as good. Can’t wait for the third.
Good movies with Russians:
"Eastern Promises" (2007) w/ Viggo Mortensen
"A History of Violence" (2005) w/ Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris
"Ronin" (1998) w/ Robert DeNiro, Jean Reno, Sean Bean, Skip Sudduth, Stellan Skarsgaard, Jonathan Pryce
"The November Man" (2014) Pierce Brosnan
"The Peacemaker" (1997) w/ George Clooney, Nichol Kidman
Finally able to watch a premiere. This movie and John Wick came out in the theater around the same time. Both are a blast to watch. Now back to the main feature [ but sadly without any popcorn ... 😊 ]
Eh, John Wick was a better protagonist. Despite a great performance from Denzel, rewatching the movie, I really had no clue to who Robert McCall is and why he does what he does.
@@osmanyousif7849 You get a clue to McCall's identity in the movie. He does what he does because he is a good guy, and he has the skills to get the job done. Helping the helpless is the duty of all men. Some are able to do more than others. When one's resources are limited in some area, he recruits other good guys.
@@osmanyousif7849yea but with John Wick you don’t want to hear him do much talking because Keanu’s acting is limited. With Denzel I wanna see the interrogation talk and etc.
The 2nd one starts out showing him as a vigilante for the little guy, but it became a revenge movie. They said The Agency. That's the NSA. The third one comes out in September and it looks like it goes back to his roots.
Great movie. Denzel doesn't make bad ones. Violent? Yes but not over the top like some ultra violent movies with no plot. 1st in an awesome trilogy(#3 comes out in September. #2 is arguably better than this 1st one. Great movie regardless.
@raymondcarver476yeah he said that
Bold take on #2
I'm glad that people are requesting Twins, because I'd bet you'd enjoy it
Now you need to do the third film from 2014 of this exact genre "Nobody" with Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Lucky Hank).
The movie was based on a series from the 70's by the same name. He answered calls for help, like the email at the end. Having watched the series kind of helped fill in the blanks that were in the movie, regarding his origin story.
