How to make Mashed Potatoes? Simple, easy and the Best Mashed Potato
INGREDIENTS FOR MASHED POTATOES:
• Potatoes (washed) - 1 kg (2 pounds) (see notes)
• Water (cold) - for boiling potatoes
• Salt - 1 tsp (for boiling)
• Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves (optional)
• Heavy cream (at room temperature) - 1/2 Cup (120 ml)
• Milk * - 1/4 Cup (60 ml)
• Butter - 1/2 Cup (113g) (melted and cooled)
• Salt and Black Pepper- to taste
• Melted Butter - 1 Tablespoon
• Chives - 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon (see notes)
* You can use 1/4 Cup (4 Tablespoons) sour cream or cream cheese (at room temperature) instead of milk in this recipe.
