Great work... Maybe you could stop the free flow by de-tuning the 2nd stage...
My thoughts exactly. This , in theory, should work and I will try this myself. correct tuning of the second stage will stop the free flow. Did you test the second hand reg before modifying to the mask for correct operation?
Thanks for the vid, great ideas on how to do this myself.
you should try this with a full face gas mask, or an industrial respirator like from the company 3M, they are less then 150$
I'll check that out!
Cool to see the concept even if it doesn’t work
Thanks for your help on the video Shaun. It was fun to make. I think I might be able to get it to work if I can just put more straps on the side. Ha ha. Round two?
You could try a stronger mask strap and it will probably work because real scuba masks straps aren’t stretchy like the ones on your mask
Explain with Shaun yep. Also the position. I think straps on the sides will help. I had to hold the sides to make it seal. Proper full face masks have straps on all sides.
Cool, how did you get the audio to be so clear? I built a mask similar to this and had a hard time getting good audio
I dropped a GoPro in the mask and used the audio from that video. Hero 5 which can get wet.
@@WaterlineShorts wow so there was enough room inside near your face for a whole gopro...cool. I bought a cheap audio recorder and tried that but it was always too hot and clipping
I can’t believe this guy doesn’t have Moore subscribers, he’s great. Keep up the great work.
Magic Stratz that's magic. Thanks for the support!
Would it be busted if the mask was hooked to a low pressure hookah compressor at less then 150psi instead of 3000psi tank?
Hey. A regulator downgrades the 3000psi from the tank to around 150psi above ambient pressure so that wouldn't make the difference you think it would. Full face masks have straps on the side of the face and that would make a bigger difference.
This is hilarious!
Divers Ready that's what I was going for. A lot of fun making this video.
It isn’t really a fail but the mask is not tight enough so if u do this one again with a tighter full face mask then it would be a success
esta esa mascara el modela que tiene la goma flexible para poder compensar con eso se podria hacer
Me want to do this
Support straps at top bottom and sides would be a big help.
What if you had not cut off the piece on the top... air would flood the mask... but instead of not being able to seal it tight enough to your face...
Wouldn't it just flow right out the snorkel piece?
Possibly. I hadnt thought of that. Ideally it would not flow out (freeflow). You want some control. Probably the best solution would have been to get some more straps on the sides. Real full face masks have got straps at the sides, top and bottom.
@@WaterlineShorts or possibly.... keep the snorkel on... but find a way to make the exit hole smaller
aparte al cortarle la toma de boca se te empaña todo
In my opinion I think you did demonstrate that it could work. However, that craftsmanship and the way you put them together is kinda hinky dinky. You need to change the glue, the rubber strap and the way you cut the material need to be flushed. You will definitely have a hard time holding on the mask because the air is present and that is why it is hard to secure the mask in place. You will have to figure out how to separate the breathing inlet and the face lens so you can have water enter the lens and not to create buoyancy to the mask. It was fun watching your video. Maybe you could make the snorkel and convert it to a full mask COVID 19 resistant mask.
Him this is really cool Certified scuba divers be laughing because of what a stupid idea this si
All in the name of fun
I am a certified diver and cant wait to give this a go... Safely of course, safe second and a bailout on me.
I’m trying to do this I’ve made one that worked for 4 breath than I’d stat flooded
I found you need to have straps top, bottom and middle. Maybe that helps.
@@WaterlineShorts it’s a sm gas mask I just converted I got the reg now so I have a hooka system
Wow forgot ant this I now took that reg and put it to a Hudson sprayer and can breath under water for 2 mins
How many feet were u under water?
Mr.Hansom About 15-20ft not deep.
@@WaterlineShorts thank you very much for replying so quickly
Put the regulator on the top
That would make the mask prone to flooding. There's a reason why the regs on full-face masks are located at the bottom.
