Music: Handel's "Zadok the Priest" HWV 258 performed by the English Concert and the Händelfestspielorchester Halle, directed by Howard Arman, 14 April 2009.
The piece commemorates Zadok the Priest's anointing of King Solomon (1 Kings 1:38-40). Written for the coronation of George II in 1727, this anthem has been sung during the coronation of every British monarch since. According to Wikipedia, the words themselves have been referenced at every coronation since King Edgar in 973.
