Princess Alexandra of Kent was born 5 months before the coronation, I doubt she was presence at the coronation but in case she was, she would probably be the only person that is still with us today.
@ Not everday, he walks around the street a lot. And at home he doesn’t just sit or lie down, he usually walks around in home. Also he doesn’t like salty food. I only know these, but I think it could be genetics cause my grandpa’s grandpa(born in late 1860s~1870s or something) was alive till 1960s when my father was born.
After King Charles today, it’s just spectacular to se hake well it was done back then. The length of the trains and filling the Abbey. A ton more regalia and tradition. Bowing and not turning away from the king. Was just beautiful. I hope William will up it.
The Coronation in 1953 lasted over 3 hours. Probably the 1937 one was just as long. Charles wanted to shorten it. In 1953 they erected a pavilion with facilities at the west door of Westminster Abbey so that at the end everyone could relieve themselves and have a refreshment before the procession!
I like them for being slightly strange. I don't want them to change. They get all embarrassed about their ceremony for some reason when you talk to them, but they don't get that a lot of people from different countries think it's really cool. At least I do.
King Charles I I I had said that Camilla will be crowned with him and be known as Queen Consort, so I was looking for this, as it has a double coronation, so to speak. Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth I I.
I wish that for King Charles coronation that they had worn their robes and coronets. The suits and dresses seemed a bit at odds with the medieval dress of the king , etc.
I dont think they anointed queen Camilla, it looks like they anoited the queen consort Elizabeth, another thing i noticed was they crowned queen consort Elizabeth while she was kneeling , Camilla was sitting ,

Rest In Peace queen. Is there maybe anyone alive still or is it doubtful?

William will reduce the pomp even ,more to fit ther 21st century,, Charles used the same robe as his grandfather

What is the name of the song sung as he walks in with the pauses and shouting? It sounds like they are shouting vivat to me. I could be wrong.
Vivat Regina Elizabetha. Vivat Rex (Georgio?).
@@richierich7229 Yes, Georgius (Latin).
I Was Glad.
They're shouting 'Vivat Regina Elizabetha' (God Save Queen Elizabeth) followed by 'Vivat Rex Georgius' (God Save King George)

Why was the music not played at Charles coronation
I imagine because we have commentary now and because of all the hymns
coronation music was played, there was a lot of new music composed for this coronation,

Why He not called King Albert?
(Full Name: Albert Frederick Arthur George and why he not used first name?)

Queen Elizabeth (then Princess Elizabeth) is probably the only person in this video, let alone the entire coronation audience, who is still alive
