I think the opposite, for having only 16 slots I can't imagine they intend to pull too many from Green Island, when I saw Genthru my first thought was he confirms Razor is not in the game. Especially considering they have so many phantom troupe and chimera arc characters they will have to leave out.

I still can’t believe that we are getting a real hunter x hunter fighting game. I’m so excited and can’t wait to play it.
We've had HxH games for Gameboy Color, GBA, PS1, PS2, PSP and theyve all been platformers or rpgs so yeah about time though really feels like 20 years too late.
I mean what's next? A Shadow Skill and Flame of Recca fighting game?

Now that you mentioned it, I looked at the first gameplay video, and it really does, it felt kinda sluggish before, but now it's great imo
The visuals i can let slide if the game's cheap, but they definitely need better backgrounds.

Game looks really fun. The original footage really did it no justice, low frame rate/resolution. Unfortunately a good amount of people dont think about that stuff and have already had their opinion formed by someone else, as this community tends to go.
I think this shoulda been a Jump anniversary game tho. Same gameplay just with you know a more diverse roster of characters from the history of Jump Comics. Woulda had way more hype. I think this is th 50th anniversary of Jump now.

This was done out of pure passion. Hence why it has a ridiculously low budget. Probably too high risk for low rewards in the company’s eyes.
Bro not gonna lie the first video we saw got me really sad cause it looked so slugish and rough, but it turns out that it was the fps and resolution fault, now seeing it in 60 fps did change my perspective a lot and is starting to grow in me now it looks atcually really cool and fun with all the combos and stuff.
Honestly it’s like a miracle HxH is even getting a game that plays like this gotta look at the bigger picture I’m greatful lmao

This game is growing on me, first I couldn't get past the graphics, now that I see a whole set of new attacks and movements, everything seems to connect, I see it coming together. This will be a great game y'all! ❤

Tbh makes sense Genthru gets announced so casually considering he's probably the character on the roster that'd generate the least hype lmao. Betting that Bisky is gonna get announced alongside him since they're both Greed Island characters and she's a character who's reveal would get people really hyped.

@@tomasjaramillogaviria1821 He's the main antagonist of one of the series big arcs so I'd assume he's there out of an obligation and desire to represent Greed Island even if he's probably the least memorable part of it.

Well that and like others said, there's not a lot to represent Greed Island. It's just him and Bisky.
The Graphics and Fun in this game follow an Inverse Proportion
It's early. No release date announced AFAICT, so there's time to add more pizazz. It's a solid start.
@@johnmarstall it's not, they are posting official trailers with gameplay that looks like this, I can judge promotional content by the way it looks, it is not just a beta/early access gameplay check the official youtube channel with character trailers.

Just remember that the budget is very small for a fightan, focus on the fun part for now. We gotta give this game a fucking chance for once, HxH fans don't have many options, this could be the best chance we have to show that we really love and will support the creation of news HxH games.
It's really a shame that jujutsu Kaisen game didn't go this route.
We may just get one if this game gets enough support

With Genthru revealed, here are the other characters I am predicting.
Zeno, Bisky, Razor, Chrollo, and Meruem. I think these 5 are probably coming for sure. I’m not sure about who else though. I personally would like to Moral and Kite.

Is the forest stage designed to be completely static? it feels empty especially with the parallax and 2d trees. The desert one feels alive cause of the moving objects behind.

Netero's level 3 should be a suicide super or it should rapidly lower netero's hp after using it, come on devs
Really cool to see all the conversions and stuff from the dev, once you get some training mode time your combos are gonna look fly in this game

I just hope this game get more characters. Currently in the seleccion screen there are 16 slots, but this type of games really need probably more than 20, close to 30 if posible.
That's my main gripe so far. Dbfz launched with 24 chars. Obviously this game doesn't have Bandai budget, but only 16 for a 3v3 game just seems borderline egregious. I guess it depends on how much the game costs.

Yeah man Meruem can easily take 3 character slots if they wanted to be immersive, sorta like TvC giant character.

I mean all of the royal guard were on a different level only surpassed by Meruem. Nobody was actually able to defeat on of them except Gon.
I mean if you get nasty with Meruem then you’ll never see him lose lol. You could be Meruem
That's just fighting games as a whole, even the weakest character can win against the strongest story wise.
Though a thing like Lowain in Granblue or Saitama in One Punch Man where it's not real would be interesting

Hey question do you really need 8 buttons to play this or is there a way around needing the Rush and Special buttons? I can't imagine needing all 8 buttons on an arcade stick would be comfortable
You can avoid rush bc it's only for auto attack but specials are one button only, atm 7 buttons needed at least.

This game is looking Hella fun. I wish it had a burst system or any get off me move. There's overdrive 🤔 but once a loop starts... it's hard to get out of it. Endless bloody loops 🤷🏾♀️ i hate that part. In dbz fighters, you can get out of it if you use meter.
Hoping for a York New City stage and the place where the troupe fought the chimera ants.
I feel like out of all the troupe members Feitan has the highest chance of being in.
Now I’m gonna sadly predict no Chimera Ant arc characters if Genthru is in the game.
I feel like they want to put a mixture of characters from different Arcs
They probably going with one or two villains from each arc, except for Election because we don’t know anything about Pariston's abilities

Genthru encompasses everything I love about fights in HxH. So happy he is here even if he is the weakest major villain lol, he still has depth and importance to the plot in more roundabout ways as a role player.
