You nailed it exactly. This lift is to test the pronator, how stable it is under load/stress. Why Devon squats at that position and angles his arm in that specific way to do this lift, it is to maximize the load/stress on his pronator. He has found that through countless experimentation and like Krasi said, even a slight deviation wouldn't give the same results. Well explained 👍🏻
So good someone understand it, no one do it like devon, not ermes not levan no one. Thats why devons pronation is so strong, he do it exactly the way krasi explain. Ermes and levan is more on the bicep, and they move the hand also like you shouldnt do. Thats why devons lift is more impressive then levans. Finally someone who understand and explain it exsctly right. Spot on krasi
💯. People are more worried about lifting the heaviest weights they can off the ground when that’s not the purpose of the lift. Devon isolates his pronator and like you said, it doesn’t move at all. His entire wrist stays locked.
@Irenicus33 such a weak attack. Bandwagoning. Keep using that fangirl term to discredit and take attention away instead of sticking to the topic. Of course there's other exercises and? So what? Who cares. That's not what this post is about. That's like saying he you can drive a car you know, then saying yeah, you can ride a bike also, did you know that? It's like uh ok? So what? Your point?
@@Irenicus33 I’ve yet to see a video of someone doing this specific lift without referencing Devon. That’s the whole reason why people are video of themselves doing it. It’s trending. But that’s completely irrelevant to Krasmirs point which is people are doing it by recruiting more muscles to lift more weight while slightly losing their pronator which defeats the purpose of the lift.
@@Dmgolfer22 you are exactly right my friend, nobody can do the lift exactly like Devon because nobody cares to take pride in performing it exactly how it should be done. They want the instant gratification of lifting heavy
I understand the lever argument here but I think it kinda ignores the wrist stabilizing function of the extensors. Wrist instability is going to compromise ur ability to transfer force through ur pronation (a general principle re: instability for any lift) and the extensors are strongest (and therefore most stabilizing) in a slightly kicked back position. You can observe this tendency towards extension in rockclimbing and just about every grip lift
Spot on. A lot of people will get surprised at how strong Devon is even if he loses, most likely he is getting a round or two, something that may not happen in the near future by anyone else.
@@mar__k Calm down Mr Sensitive Panties. Andrey was one of my goats. This is in homage to him as youtube wouldn't let me use Pushka. So i said f it, I'll use this. Some get it. People with multiple pronouns like yourself lose a tampon over it.
Krasimir you're one of my all time favorites. You can be at the table with anyone Devon, Levan, Gennady it doesn't matter you always beat them or give them tough challenge. Thanks for making this I think a lot of people needed to hear the truth about this lift. Levan is basically curling it which is still impressive but it's not the same load on his arm as it is the way Devon angles it. Looking forward to your next match brother! 💪
Cool video! I’m a new armwrestling fan in Canada and I literally asked somebody (a weightlifter) to explain the purpose of this lift to me last night, and they had no idea 😂just thought it was showing how much somebody can lift off the ground. You’ve explained it in a way that actually makes sense so now I understand the purpose.
Sometimes if I do the Devon pronation lift for high reps, my pronation starts to open up more and more as the sets goes on. But I think it's good for building static pronator strength, as long as you're attempting to keep pronation as hard as possible
Thank you sir👏👏👏👏👏 it's about holding pronation, larratt has probably got heavier basic lifts in the tank but he's not training for that, the same goes for every type of lift he does they're all very specific.
finnaly someone explaining as it is, and like I was for 10 times on stupid comment section. It's fuckin PRONATION lift. not hammer, not biceps and so on. well done man you got yourself subscriber
Thank you for sharing. That was actually a good explanation and makes sense. Appreciate the knowledge 👍💪 so it appears Levan may actually not be doing exactly what Devon is doing for Pronation training 👍🎃
Wow, little things like that can only be seen and explained by super knowledgeable people like Krasimir! No surprise Devon once said that he learned a lot from you!
Finally someone with a short well informed video on the topic. Doing 12 of these heavy lifts a day, is better than "pronation curls". That is because the entire idea of pronation workout is to not let your wrist be taken. If your wrist is taken, you're not gonna be able to curl your hand back into position unless you're arm wrestling a weak 12 year old. Pronation + back pressure is able to over pronate the opponent and make them loose their hand, but not pronation by itself. If you start an AW match with someone equal to your strength, you're not going to pronate and take their hand by just pronation. This is also how many new guys at my club actually fail and exhaust themselves.
100% agreed with Krasimir. However, Arm wrestling is not a static sport, its dynamic in everybit. On the table during wrestling, all motions and movements together count and not just pronation alone where Devon could be triumpant. If Levan has the sum of combination of all the movements higher than Devon, he simply sweeps him.
Finally we get expert analysis of the lift. Thank you Sir 💪
Finally somebody describes it in detail. Majority do it incorrectly

Thank you 🙂
Do you have the full video?
That Face you made when the phone started falling over 😂😂.... Timberrrrrrrr!!!!
Please someone make this video popular. People need to know. Great explanation!!
Also he kicks his wrist back, making the lift harder as the leverage on the pronation increases.

The whole point is just to say, "I lift more than devon" no matter the technique, position and reasoning behind it...
Thank you champ for clarifying!
Yes!! Thank you. Not many realizing that the lift is mostly static, testing the weight the pronator can resist.
Exactly
Thank you Krasimir. Now I went to see Levan's pronation 80kg again and I see fail of pronation. I see biceps and back lift.
I tried this lift 2 weeks ago with my wrist flat and it was much harder compared to lifting it with a cupped wrist. Glad you made this video.
Great explanation, even many pro aw couldn't realise this. That tells a lot about aw knowledge of Krasi and Devon.
Finally the real science behind the Devon lift, Thanks Krasi 💪
This is why you are legend..this very miniature point you spot..most valuable point of this lift..
Respect! Finally someone explains the lift clearly and in detail!
Camera also failed with 2-3mm at the end :D
ssssshhhhh
Wish you would do more analysis video Krazy you are very good at explaining
Wow. Fantastic explanation of the lift and exactly what I see the others doing wrong!
It is really refreshing when somebody precisely describe this lift... Not like ego lifters. Thank you.😊

Finally a great explanation! They all get the hand possition wrong. Devon always make the lift with the hand slight flopped.
The end is so funny the way the phone starts slowly falling
Finally a brilliant explanation ❤
Krasi in 2min short video explains more about this lift than any of the trendy content creators have failed to do in years. :)

Perfect way of describing that lift , excellent 👌
Such a smart guy. So many fools out there worried about every other aspect but this.
Very nice explanation, it actually makes a lot of sense now.
Great explanation!
Finally someone explained this move. Thank you Krasimir
Very interesting. Thank you
Never realized it worked that way, I just thought it was pure lifting. Brilliant explanation !
Finally somebody explain to people about this. Simple and just right. ThnX!
