Only if the model number ends with LMT it has a traffic receiver. For example Garmin Nuvi 2699LMT has a traffic receiver inside where as Nuvi 2699, or Nuvi 2699LM does not. LMT means Lifetime Maps & Traffic

I've never used a GPS . Getting a refurbished Drive 52 with US/Canada maps. Will this cord work with this unit? Greetings, yes indeed this will work in your Garmin Drive 52, however you need to make sure your vehicle has a USB Port, as most of them only have Cigarette Lighter Ports.
You will also need an adapter changing the Micro USB plug to Mini USB Plug, because your GPS takes a Micro USB charger. Also the cord is only 6.5 feet, with the extension plug it will be 6.8 feet.

Hi the Garmin RV890 magnetic mount takes a Micro USB Plug, not a Mini USB plug, so this will not work for it. However we can throw in a free adapter cable which change the cable to Micro USB plug. @@MrJasdog107 Yes if it fits on the Magnetic mount it will work as long as your vehicle USB Port supports 2.0 AMP. Since the 890 is a large GPS it requires at least 2 Amperes to operate at full brightness. If your car Cigarette lighter port is only 1 Amp the GPS will still work with this cable but the screen brightness can't go to the max, and it will not charge the battery of the GPS.
I have a Drivesmart 55. It's Bluetooth won't connect to my truck's Bluetooth. Says they are not compatible. You don't have to buy our cable, if you did the 18KΩ Resister chip modification it should work fine. For a good traffic reception the cable should be around 5 feet long.

Yes it should work just fine for the Smart Drive 65 but only for Power and Charge. There is no built in Traffic Receiver on Smart Drive 65, so you will need to use your Smartphone Gamin-Link software for traffic conditions and weather info.

Garmin made these with two types of Mini USB Ports, one has a normal 5Pin Mini USB port, and the other one has a 9Pin Mini USB port. The 9Pin version has conductors on both sides of the terminal, whereas the 5Pin has on one side only.
The length is about 6 feet long, and it only works with those Zumo XT GPS units which have a Mini USB port for power, because some of them have Micro USB Port. If your's have the Micro USB Port, then you need to mention that the time of purchase so we can included a free Mini to Micro USB port adapter cable.

Thanks, the answer to your question depends on the model of your GPS LM = Lifetime Maps No traffic receiver inside the GPS LMT=Lifetime Maps and there is a Lifetime Traffic Receiver inside the GPS LMTHD= Lifetime Maps and there is a HD Traffic Receiver inside the GPS LMT-S= Lifetime Maps but it needs a smartphone Link for Lifetime Traffic.

About the battery you can use this BGI-USB1 cable along with any USB Battery bank for extended outdoor operation time. Unfortunately it will not, the traffic part only works with Garmin's that have internal traffic receiver and they only need an external antenna for it. This works as an external antenna for that type of Garmin GPS units. This does not have any traffic subscription on it's own. Basically this is the USB Version of Garmin TA10 and TA20 traffic antennas.

Try updating the GPS Bluetooth firmware by using GarminWebUpdater, not Garmin Express.

Hi, some versions of the Garmin RV890 have a Micro USB Port instead of a Mini USB Port. So what I will do is include a free Micro USB to Mini USB adapter with your order. It should work fine but worst case you can send it back for a full refund.

Tried this with Garmin 260W but made no difference.
That means the USB port inside the GPS unit is lose and the solder joints need to be refreshed, because this should work perfectly fine with the Nuvi 260W, and 265W
