Finally! The Intercom Viewer was even more important than the Intercom itself. For many home users and businesses, it was uncomfortable to only see the doorbell video on the phone.
Finally!!! The 'Unifi Intercom Viewer' is something we've been eagerly anticipating, and likely others have been as well. However, our office is too small to utilize 'Unifi Intercom'. Therefore, it would be beneficial if the Intercom Viewer could be compatible with existing Unifi Access devices like 'G2 Reader Professional' or other devices such as 'G4 Doorbell Pro PoE', enabling us to use them together.
Is it possible to add a 3 apartments to a directory? So visitor for (single door), can choose to ring which apartment to ring, or to ring them all? Each room, should have several users paired each one with its own mobile app I did not find any specification for hardware or software for this scenario on official site
I think this is the most frustrating thing about Ubiquiti, you cannot get answers to basic use cases like this unless you buy the product and test it out yourself or wait for a UA-camr to hopefully test out the same use cases for you.
Wow, we've been waiting for this for a long time! Now please offer sets of 3 door stations and an app that can be used as a door station for existing tablets and we can finally make our huge property with over 100 tenants happy! Please keep it up!
Always new products, but the old ones such as the doorbell 4g pro poe are not fully integrated. Please finally get the fingerprint out there with integration into the access hub.
FINALLY an UA device with a physical button for the doorbell. I've been trying to use UA Door Control for my homes front door since they first announced it, but the lack of a physical button meant people rarely "rang" the doorbell, they'd just knock. The UA Reader Pro had a "button" but it was still touch, had no haptics, and didn't work with gloves. Between this and the new ability to use Unifi Access chimes with UA doors, I think it's finally viable for a residential front door.
Let's not get crazy here. They don't even tell us where it's stored within their own ecosystem "it stores Audio and video" but neglect to give us the details of how or where
It would be so silly not to allow this, as otherwise it will completely take it out of the running when replacing existing units and only make it worth considering in new builds. It needs to be compatible with other IP camera systems, otherwise you're just locking people out of the unifi ecosystem, instead of welcoming them into it.@@brandonreidy6989
This unit will be useless for retrofitting and replacing old incumbent units if they don't allow this. I hope they do, and hope this reply isn't removed like it seems my last one was, for which I have no idea why.@@brandonreidy6989
🎉 Exciting news! The UniFi Access Intercom is here to revolutionize security systems! 🔒 Get ready to upgrade your access control game with this innovative solution! 🚪
I just wondering If you have installed there a build-in battery, which dies after 2-3 years of service as you did in both doorbell variants? Big plus for extended temp. range!
Wow, I see why the G4 doorbell pro is being delayed with updates. What is the update on adding custom GIF and using thumbprint reader along with deadbolt. Don’t leave us dry.
Right? They look cheap, metal would be preferred when exposed to the sun for years on end it needs to be robust. I also feel they're too small and the round look doesn't match the rest of the rectilinear design aesthetic.
Great video thanks. It looks too much for home use. What does Ubiquiti have for home use to talk to people upstairs. In older whole home entertainment systems there was built in intercoms. What scaled down version is available to add to a Ubiquiti network so that instead of yelling upstairs or using your cellphone a simple intercom system can be installed?
I currently have an intercomm system from HikVision, 1 door bell with camera and key pad, linked to 5 screens across the house and app...works ok but software updates are weak, had to warranty the screens 3 times after power outage....I almost give up on unifi to bring out a usable intercoom....Can't wait to try out their new offering and see if it will fit my needs since the whole house is running security cameras and Wifi on Unifi already!
Hello 👋 ! First of all, I love your products. Just 👏 amazing. I do have a question on the intercom access controller. I'm using it for a main gate, I have one on the entrance and one on the exit. The one on the entry is fine with the pre-recorded voice welcome message but I want to change the Exit one to say something else or at least nothing at all. Is there an option to change that on the intercom reader?
Please ca you make a Doorbell with all metal body and no display at all, because vandals can break that glass very easily, I think many people would appreciate it if there was just a 360 fisheye lens camera, and an intercom with one call button, and all this would be vandal-proof, designed for home use
Now you need to finally release the Protect Lock so home users can replace their deadbolt, and use this as a really advanced "doorbell" that can unlock the front door for you.
@Ubiquiti Why is the Ethernet port pointing straight out the back? Why could it not be angled upwards, so I don't need a whole in the wall for the Plug to fit into! same thing goes for G4 Doorbell
yeah! I like it! "Sadly" we life "alone" with our family in our house. We have G4 doorbell pro PoE - will it be possible to use the Intercom "inside flat" display in "single use" with G4 Doorbell? So we have a Display next to the door that will be activated when someone rings the bell? best regard from germany
This is great! I was able to purchase one and 2 viewers before they sold out. Can’t wait to test and implement. It appears to be managed through the Access app.
The PoE socket positioning on the intercom viewer seems odd. Especially the huge air gap around it. Comparing it to my existing viewers from another company I'm not sure how I'd be able to mount them to internal brick walls that I have. My existing unit allows me to wire PoE with each individual wire, so I don't have to have an RJ45 connector on the end of the wire, making it easier to run cable and wire up in this scenario. Edit: Just looked at your install guide and it kind of acknowledges this, showing you either need a large recess behind the viewer, or use an ugly backbox pushing it even further off the wall. That would be a step back for me, shame that.
Definitely been waiting for something like this for an automated gate entry system. If this could be linked to an AI camera for ANPR automation that would be incredible
@@NateAsOfLate so the people that have the doorbell pro, is there a path for them to use it to lock/unlock the door? It does have a fingerprint sensor etc.
@@nibras-manna fingerprint sensor was never activated, to my knowledge... I'm guessing the only way to unlock a door with the G4 Doorbell Pro is with a NFC and a HA integration with the doorbell and a separate integrated lock.

hey Ubiquiti, by the love your products but one question when will the ubiquiti launch its pro max switch lineup especially the 24 port poe ones in India? I can't find it Ubiquiti's India store?? Please help me 😭😭
While there is no indication that the Intercom Viewer works with their other door products or not, it would be a shame if they didn't as this product fills a gaping hole they have in those other door products. Can you clarify Ubiquiti?
It doesn't look like there's any built in relays on the unit itself. Does this mean if I wanted to replace an existing access intercom in a brick pillar to the entrance to a residential property with a pedestrian gate and electric vehicle gate I would somehow need to get the relay lines that currently terminate in the pillar, all the way back to the house to connect to a unifi access hub?
A Gate Access Starter Kit will be available soon and will include an Intercom, Gate Hub, PoE++ Adapter, and PoE to Twisted Pair Extender for gate entry use cases. While each installation may vary, a common deployment would consist of UniFi Access running on a UniFi Console at a central building with data distributed to the remote gate using the PoE to Twisted Pair Extender. The Gate Hub plus PoE devices such as the Intercom for vehicle entry, an access reader for person entry, and security cameras would be installed at the remote gate.
Thanks, look forward to seeing it. Already running a UDM Pro for the home network, and existing outdoor keypad station and indoor monitors are running via PoE to a UniFi switch, so would be great to be able to upgrade the pedestrian and vehicle access control. I really hope you'll make the video feed available via ONVIF though, as I will need to pipe 24/7 video from the intercom into an existing mixed brand IP camera system consolidated in dedicated IP cam software.@tiInc
Please Open the nfc on the doorbell g4 .. better the fingerprint. And After that all. Pleas geht Apple Homekey on every nfc Device. Maybe in bundle with your App.
