  • CHECK OUT MY BLOG: healthandwillness.org
I'm SO excited to welcome you to my UA-cam Channel! I've been planning to start this channel for years, and am ecstatic to finally make it a reality.
In February I wanted to start this channel after having finished graduate school and having more free time. However, the timing just wasn't right to start filming, so I decided to start my online presence with a blog at HealthAndWillness.org. Writing blog posts is interesting and hard work, and I'm not inherently the best writer - but I continue to learn and grow. Video creation and aesthetics has always been a passion of mine and I am excited to increase health education through this platform!
I have so many fun educational ideas for this channel, but I want to make sure to keep it entertaining as well as informative. I plan to make video topics on various medical conditions, health and nutrition topics, weight loss, medical myths, and medical professional development.
You can follow me on social media below:

Please leave a comment of video ideas that you'd like to see!

Hey will can you make a video where you share what are the things FNP students can be studying for way far in advance to help later with boards? Like specific links or books or what have you that will help later? I have a year left and I’m in a research class right now, I have time and I’d like to start studying but feel lost as to where to start, who on UA-cam maybe do you recommend their videos etc? Thanks for any tips. ~Amanda

This is sweet Will. My opinion on diet is increasingly leaning towards individualism..so not every diet fits every person. What’s your take on that? And can you comment on the carnivorous diet. Thanks.

Scott Grivner hey scott! Thanks for commenting! Completely agree - not every diet is right for everyone. We are not all genetically and behaviorally the same - so a one-diet-fits-all really doesn’t make sense.
As far as ketogenic diets - I think they can serve a great role in helping people lose weight with underlying metabolic diseases and insulin resistance especially - but other people may find it easier to stick to due to satiety control and feeling better on the diet.
As far as carnivore - I really haven’t looked into it much and definitely need to research it more. I think there are plenty of healthy micronutrients that you can get from vegetables, and cutting out healthy high-fiber low-carb vegetables doesn’t seem necessary or preferable to me. There are too many well known positive health benefits of vegetables for me to recommend cutting them out on an extreme basis such as while following a carnivorous diet.

Hey Will, thanks for the reply. I'm glad you mentioned Ketogenic diets; they have really worked for me. My usual macro split usually contains more protein than fats because I enjoy bodybuilding and do a lot of resistance/powerlifting. After that its mostly fats and low carb. I try to stay away from most complex carbs (rice/yams/veggies as an exception), especially breads of all kind anymore and I without a doubt notice a difference. Oh and one thing that seems to be analogous to all diets is staying away from sugars; aside from the low amount of fructose I consume in fruits/berries.. I try to stay away from Sugars lol. Yeah looking forward to any videos you have on the carnivore diet, I'm interested in your opinion... I just recently found out about it (and don't intend to do it) but I find it interesting. I'd suggest listening to Joe Rogan's recent podcast with Mikhaila Peterson, her story is def really interesting on why she pretty much is allergic to almost everything except for the carnivore diet. More info on her blog mikhailapeterson.com/, Thanks again!
