Those who don't follow cricket much and focus just on tournaments like IPL or watch India matches only sometimes - they all won't know how much loss cricket will have afterAB's retirement. He is really an unbelievable player. He scores the fastest 50, 100 and 150. He can play shots at every nook and corner in the ground. Simultaneously, he can even play on green pitches effortlessly ( as against India 2018)!!!!. Also, in one test against India in which the ball was turning much with Ashwin and Jaddu operating, he had scored 40 odd runs in 290 odd balls!!!! Can you believe it?? A batsman who is Mr.360 and also can play at a strike rate of 25 for 290 balls speaks volumes of his cricketing abilities.
Although it is his decision and he would have taken it really carefully, still I feel he should have given the World Cup 2019 another shot. At the end of the day, cricket is the real loser in this case.

Just can't see cricket getting better or popular without Ab devilliers. You will see players like Sachin, Virat, warne, Lara, etc.. But there will never be Ab devilliers hence I say Ab is the best Cricketer ever to play the game of cricket.. I say this because all the other people I mentioned were very good batsman or bowlers but none of them has resigned batting like Ab devilliers did.. As faar as I am concern Cricket is over for me for good.. Because Ab devilliers was the only reason I watched Cricket..

2015 world cup New Zealand vs south Africa match is one of the heart breaking match
When you was cry I am really very upset about south Africa due to rain and D/L.
And other south Africa team member.
Then I was realise that some things went not good for South Africa. And also in previous world cup that was effected by rain and south aferica push to made impossible task 21 run from 1 boll change to 22 run from 13 balls.
I think D/L is one of the major reason for taking retirement from world cup.
South Africa without ABD like students without guide and support by his /him lectures in college.
