I have a doubt and hope that someone can clear it. I heard from most Pakistani cricketers speaking of or using the almighty Allah's name often in their interviews or wherever they are asked to speak. Many other team players don't do so, or at least don't use that often. Is it their way of life or taught in or anything else about it? If it is related to Islam then why do Bangladesh or Afghanistan team players don't do so that often?

I remember the Pakistan teams from the 1970's to 1990's. None of the players prostrated after scoring a century or winning a match. The post match interviews were not laced with insha Allah. Most of the players spoke confidently in both English and Urdu. Hardly anyone kept a beard. The religious fanaticism which started infecting the country during Zia's reign had to infect sports eventually.

I must say few points like hero-worship is also a big obstacle in India, I attribute to the culture of kings and fables. I felt so bad when India lost world cup and now I feel so high after India won the world cup. But pat Cummins taught me something! The way he carried himself before the final and after the final, that was like Dhoni. Could sense some detachment. We need more leaders like Dhoni and Rohit Sharma and let the common man know that emotions have their place. ONE BRUTAL FACT: India would have lost this world cup had they played this in India!!! I remember the Pakistan teams from the 1970's to 1990's. None of the players prostrated after scoring a century or winning a match. The post match interviews were not laced with insha Allah. Most of the players spoke confidently in both English and Urdu. Hardly anyone kept a beard. The religious fanaticism which started infecting the country during Zia's reign had to infect sports eventually.

@@talharahimnot true. I have never seen hindu sikh president, hindu sikh players or non muslim athletes in Pakistan. Jodhpur India is filled with Pakistani hindus and sikh from Sindh. In India, muslims have their own localities and they are breeding like rabbits, their population is rising rapidly if you think they are oppressed. You have to accept that your community has an exclusive mindset, you guys fight even amongst themselves over we are punjabis, we are pathans and such. In India, we have more diversity, languages and still we survive. We even have Tibetan Bhuddists from Tibet in lakhs and they celebrate with us and don’t do crimes. Hindus have accepted all not like you guys. There are many muslim athletes and celebrities? Our media is filled with them.

I have written a review of an article for my assignment in University named " Islamization in Pakistan Cricket" by Ali Khan ( Then HOD of LUMS). Unfortunately this is very true .
I was quite shocked back when Ahmed Shehzad said that to Dilshan and it was like no one reacted in Pakistan or in general. Very good to see that you brought that point here. I must say few points like hero-worship is also a big obstacle in India, I attribute to the culture of kings and fables. I felt so bad when India lost world cup and now I feel so high after India won the world cup. But pat Cummins taught me something! The way he carried himself before the final and after the final, that was like Dhoni. Could sense some detachment. We need more leaders like Dhoni and Rohit Sharma and let the common man know that emotions have their place. ONE BRUTAL FACT: India would have lost this world cup had they played this in India!!! Reason: Crazy pressure. This 8 months have been roller-coaster, so I hope we learn, as a nation, to react more maturely. But yes, the heartbreak of November is now sleeping with the fish! :)

This is an Indian mentality, where you judge the entire Pak based on the behavior of the cricket team. That's not the case . You'll find many like Muzammil but unfortunately they are in different profession, not playing cricket for Pak. We had many good educated legendary players in the past but unfortunately our cricket board has messed up everything. Don't generalize the entire country based on the cricket team.
