I add a little bit of cheddar to the dough mix as the cheese adds a little nuttiness to the pastry. Apples I soak in Crown Royal Apple Whiskey for 24 hrs. I pan fry them in brown sugar, butter, nutmeg, lemon juice, cinnamon, and clove. when apples are a slight fork tender i add them to my pie pan. I like doing a full cover top with a plus sign cut in the middle. My Apple pie is not for kids but i have made it with the apples soaking in apple cider for a kids pie.
Why isn't it for kids? Cause you soak the apples in whiskey? I cook with liquor and wine all the time and give it to the kids, because alcohol evaporates around 170°F. So anything you cook with alcohol wont have any in it by the time your done cooking. Also thanks for giving me a new ingredient in my apple pie lol

It should encourage anyone who has struggles in life whether it’s a disability or other disadvantage…do not give up on the gifts given to you by God. Doc told my mom when I was a baby my life wasn’t worth her time bec my disability was severe. She never gave up on me and I’m alive and I’m mentally capable person no one could ever tell something severe or traumatic happened to me. Seeing Christine succeed encouraged me and I hope it encourages others. You may have to work harder but NEVER give up. You’ll get there
