She's not. Her vision is very impaired to the point where she can only see differences in color and light, that's it. She describes it as if you came out of a steaming shower and you looked at a mirror, it's just that. So when she's making the dish, she has some idea where the food is going since it's a bright red color on a white plate. sorry this is 2 months late
Of course she is fully blind you twat. She needs help to walk her up and for someone to hold the dish. You just can't believe a blind person can actually be a great chef.

i think they just put in a random scene when ryan is smiling, it probably wasn't even right after christine's injury, just to create drama.
