It's crazy how one of their most inspirational songs quickly turned into one of their most depressing.
I have genuinely never heard a song like this, this is absolutely incredible
Really? I’ve heard a ton of rap songs like this.
u must be listening to not that lot of music lately, then, I guess
Can you give us examples?

No matter where they go from here, its crazy what the three of them accomplished. I was so lucky to be able to see them all perform back on 4/20/18 in Athens, OH,, str8 up drove 2 hours just to see them all. Crazy ass show in the upstairs of the bar, Jpeg opened for them. IR had dope ass light effects and the whole crowd was hyped. I feel so fortunate to have seen Groggs feeling himself on stage, I will never forget that night and I cherish that memory
that's a show my college radio station put on, thank you so much for coming and rocking with us. was such an amazing time + amazing dudes.
@@dianabuchert2682 that's amazing. you rock!
I saw them in 2018 with Jpeg opening in San Francisco at Slim's which is now closed. I went to that show solo and and the experience was amazing. Parker Richie and Groggs stayed after the show signing merch and I remember how proud groggs was playing a somewhat local show since he was from fremont. They all signed my I heart IR shirt and I have it framed on my wall. I am so glad i got to experience them when I did. both Injury Reserve and jpeg have gotten exposure since then
@@bassplayah707 that’s so dope bro, keep that shirt forever and ever
Was at the same show and to this day I think about how special it was being in that crowd screaming the lyrics to Ttktv. First time ever seeing an artist I truly gave a shit about. Groggs will be missed but not forgotten.
Thank you guys for everything.
I wont lie that im a new fan. Only started listening to them this year, but their discography had been accompanying me throughout this whole year. I hope this won't be the last album we hear from them but if it is, i would say thank you for all the music. they are my favourite rap group, and i sometimes hope the world wouldnt be this harsh for them and they could get as famous as they deserves.
Also Rest in power Groggs, we will miss you forever
Doesnt matter when you found them, only that you did! Love to see new people discover incredible art
Once a fan, always a fan
Found them like a year or two ago but only really started going into their discography around the end of last year. Been a huge fan since. Keep on slippin is easily one of my favorite songs.
Man seeing the silhouette of Groggs than it not showing up again fucking killed me inside, Rip to Groogs
Rest In Power Groggs
Watching the Ttktv music video on MTV on a random night before I was supposed to graduate highschool is what made me realize I wanted to make music.
Thank you Ritchie
Thank you Groggs
Thank you Parker
I think it took me up until now to fully realize Groggs is gone.
Rest In Power
I know this is probably going to be the last injury reserve album, but I really hope Ritchie and Parker keep making music together. I’ve never heard any rapper that sounds like Ritchie and I’ve never seen such amazing chemistry between a rapper and a producer. I really hope this album is the sendoff groggs deserves and doesn’t mark their retirement. We can’t lose such unique voices like this
Maybe they could change their name to just Injury or something, idk. This is literally my first time hearing this song and group and I'm blown away.
and your prayers are heard
we've never heard groggs sing like this and the man is singing his ass off! RIP

I remember watching a Peggy interview last year and he said these guys were dope so I checked them out. He wasn’t lying. But then maybe a few months later, Groggs passed right as covid was ramping up. He was phenomenal, which was captured in this. RIP man, can’t wait for this album.

Hey gonna tell you a cool story about when I saw Injury Reserve!! In My hometown which gets no international tours at all so I booked it just stoked that someone was making the trek down here!! So I went after the show they were meeting fans I took a normal picture with them and a silly picture I think I dabbed in!! Ritchie wanted me to do a silly one!! Anyway Groggs Patted me on the back and thanked me for coming!! A small gesture but still showed me how good the injury reserve Lads were as human beings!! I was really sad when I discovered groggs had passed but hope this album is a great tribute to him and the Art he made In Injury Reserve RIP Groggs!
this is one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking things i’ve ever seen i don’t have much words
Stepa was a poet, pure genius, I already know Ritchie and Corey did wonders on this album for Groggs. Gone too soon
honestly thank you for everything. Rip Stepa Groggs
RIP Groggs, your silhouette along with everything you've done will be forever remembered.
Been putting off this listen for a while. Was always just a casual fan and it felt like crashing a funeral. But I had two friends die from overdose recently, one of which was a huge influence on me as a person for a really long time, and nothing else feels as accurate as this rn. Especially in the ending. When you find something like that out, everything feels like it's slowing to a grinding halt, and everything just deflates, and it feels like the world isn't the same one it was before and you don't know how to go forward anymore, you're just in this awkward void of being faced with death that you can't get out of
It’s good to talk about it. Just writing what you wrote above is a good idea.
Tempo? Fuck it. Rhythm? Fuck it. Emotions? All em.
This shit is beautiful. Honoring your brother the best way you could have with this project i can feel it.. RIP Groggs
5 seconds in I already feel like crying
When are you going to post the reaction to this one? If you are ofc
Grogg's verse hits so much harder in context with the full album. Because it's his only verse on the album. And it's towards the end of the album. It gives it this ominous air around the lyrics.
this song brings me to tears every time i hear it. so painfully beautiful.
This the only song to ever make me cry
Them sitting there, feeling this, it's better than any other kind of performance they could've given.
that thumbnail is heartbreaking. long live groggs man. we always loved what you did injury reserve and your impact will never be forgotten
RIP Groggs. The three of you have really brought me copious amounts of joy since I first heard of you a few years ago. Parker inspired me to look more into sampling and Ritchie and Groggs taught me just to speak my fucking truth. I really developed a confidence I’d never had before just to fucking let loose, and go crazy experiencing a song that made me feel ALIVE. That song for me was the first I heard from you - Oh Shit!!! You have no idea how many dark nights you got me through, and dude I’m not much more than a hippie-ish 23 y.o white girl but I’m so fucking glad I found your music. I wish you well with whatever you choose to do after this album x
snow represents change I think that line 'I dont think im growing no more, I dont think its snowing no more" is amazing .and deeply self reflective I never cried to music that was like this before
I’ll never forget your October concert in 2019 at El Rey Theater, Los Angeles. Thank you for being there for me Injury Reserve. May Stepa Groggs Rest In Peace.❤️🕊
That concert was nuts.

Single of the fucking year. This song is absolutely incredible. Such smart use of a black midi sample and those vocals are stunning.
Hows it a smart use of a black midi sample? They just fuckin’ took the whole song and made it worse
@@Humannbeing that’s your opinion. i personally loved what Parker did with the instrumental and how the vocals match up with it. I’m sure the black midi boys do as well.
@@charliesmith6874 At this point its not even just my opinion. They undoubtedly made this song worse. The original song is almost a instrumental itself so it hurts even more. Im sure when black midi listened to this they weren’t chuffed that there song now has the name ‘injury reserve’ on it, especially after all the time they put into making it.
@@Humannbeing well, I don’t know why you’re arguing with me when I’ve just said it’s your opinion. and do you know the connections of these people? Morgan Simpson is literally playing drums on Injury Reserves upcoming record. They are friends. They clearly have respect for each other. And stop trying to argue that you have the “right” opinion when that simply doesn’t exist.
@@charliesmith6874 Thats such a straw man. The right opinion definitely exists. Is lil pump better than this song? Obviously not; so the right opinion would be that this song is superior. I guess if the drummer worked with black midis drummer then maybe the others are cool with it (as the song features very minimal drums) but they shouldn’t be.
It's incredible how heavy the emotions hit with this. The realness is on another level.
Y’all are stronger than most. Thank you for holding it down for Groggs, your fans, and the state of AZ. We fucking love you guys! Never forget.
you guys mean so much to me. i was able to meet you guys twice in slc when you came, groggs was the sweetest person ever and when we were talking he asked if i wanted to get a picture with y’all at kilby. it’s something that i’ll treasure forever, thank you for this
I didn't even know this video existed. Man. This song does something to me on a deep, human level, and might possibly go down as an all time great for me.
Discovered Injury Reserve at Irving Plaza in NYC on the Underachievers tour. Been a fan since that night. Witnessed your Gramercy headline show in all its glory, what an amazing experience! I remember being here from Live from the Dentist Office. Watching the Everybody Knows, TTKtV, washed up, whatever dude videos religiously. I was 14. I thought I was cool having discovered them trending on Reddit because of Fantano. I’m so glad I was part of this journey. I’m proud to have played a role. I was devastated hearing about the death of Groggs and so I can’t imagine how those closest to him feel. The sentiment of not feelimg you can grow again is haunting on this song- Injury Reserve can’t grow again. That’s a tough fucking pill to swallow.

I've cried to this so many times over the past few years. I've failed to beat alcoholism and I can't even pay my rent because I live in the middle of nowhere with only 1 business and lost my old job because of low business.
