Now when I saved the adobe illustrator file as a PDF file, some links work while others didn't but this video really made it all work as I intended. So thanks again, this was very helpful!

The Excel file would always have to be connected to the pdf, so I don't think this functionality exists. Instead, I would make it a Google sheet, then create a hyperlink to that specific google sheet's URL.

This tutorial covers the first part, linking to Ex. LW-34, but the second part (return to the location from where the reader linked to the attachment) would pose more of a problem, especially if there are multiple places in the PDF that link to Ex. LW-34. A PDF doesn't really work like a web page, so you can't 'go back' if that makes sense.

I don't think you can add more than one. As a workaround, you could put 'Option 1', 'Option 2', 'Option 3' etc as text in your PDF, then link each one to a different address.

Not to detract from the video, it was helpful, but does anyone wonder what happened to creating text hyperlinks (blue text) in Acrobat/PDFs? It's insane that this is no longer possible within the PDF.

You made it easy to do the AA pro link. BUT...how do you make a link inside the document from a table of contents?
Instead of 'open a web page' you can choose Go to a Page View (you can see this option in the video too)

In this video, after you draw your box, that option is under the Link Action in the popup.

I believe you can enter "mailto:" and then the email address in place of a link. But I haven't tested this.
