This jet was well ahead off its time and still is, I remember when I was at LHR in the 80's-late 90's the crowds always use to pull over there cars to watch it take off and Land, the Aircraft was a Legend and needs to be returned to flight.
AF is tucked up in it's own hangar as part of a museum at Filton.
She’s currently still sat at Heathrow Airport. Any update on her future?
DisneyAdventurer nothing at the moment. Of course that can change at anytime but it will always come down to money etc
Putting it on the river will only make it worse, give it a home outside Heathrow where a museum can be made and the aircraft can be fully restored inside and outside as an. Exhibit
it still maybe housed, we can only confirm its relocation at the moment.
Surely they can fly it one more time just for a day! I miss her so much BRING BACK CONCORDE!😢😢😢😞😞😞
Sadly zero chance. It no longer has engineering support from the manufacturer and without that it can't get CAA approval. Without that no flying. Plus they have all sat for twenty years so it would need many parts replacing to even run it and they aren't available. BAs parts supply was scrapped or sold on retirement. On top of this, all of the support crew and pilots are retired. There's no longer anything in place to certify new pilots or train new support staff. Many things on Concorde were unique so you can't just transfer from another airliner.
We need to bring back the sper sonic
I saw her yesterday, still sitting on her pad
I dont expect to get any answer after so many years,
What happened to GOAB ? She was removed from Heathrow, never displayed;ayed I central London ?
Yes I saw her many times traveling in and out of Heathrow
My interest is that I flew once n a Concorde and it was Alpha Bravo, Flight 272 from Caracas to London via Barbados. 18 Dec 1989. (its in the Concorde Heritage database).
Still in Heathrow ? I never knew that that Concorde was my Concorde >>>
I think it all comes down to funding. A lot has changed since this video so it may be a pipe dream for now.
Saw her yesterday up close, I am sorry to say its in a sorry state. Tires are flat. Paint is faded and seen some rust points.
Concord needs to be brought back weneed her
