@@hernancortez491 I understood what you meant, but it is incorrect to think that via your children, an organization you've founded, etc. you, personally, can have "immortality." I am aware that an awareness of our own impending demise is a non-trivial motivating factor is conceiving and raising offspring, starting business ventures and the like, but one's lineage or legacy hardly constitutes "immortality."
This is a technical distinction and I don't mean to be pretentious, but I do think that it is an important point of contention, especially as many high-achieving modern men mistake themselves for demigods in my opinion. I wish you well too, brother.

There’s an example of some guy in Detroit that went to jail because he wouldn’t pay child support for a child that wasn’t his and he was never married to the mother either. Apparently the single mother wrote this dude’s name as the father without his permission even though he hasn’t seen her for many years. Detroit court ordered the guy to pay child support…..google if you don’t believe

By dating a single mom you’re saying that raising another man’s kids is the best you can do. That’s pathetic, and the single mother knows that any man who accepts that is as well. She’s just not going to tell you because not that many suckers are lined up to take that job.

I’ve been told this by many men, both old and young. They’ve all warned me to not do that. I’ve also had friends who have done it with bad outcomes. There’s also a much higher prevalence of abuse by the stepfather of the child of a single mother who is now your wife or whatever. There are stunning statistics on this.
I’m not 100% against it, but I sure would be extremely hesitant about dating or marrying someone who already has young kids.
You're not wrong. It's a huge risk. I married a single mom and adopted her young son. It's incredibly hard on all fronts. I basically had to be all in or all put from the jump. It won't work any other way. She has to do the same. Have the hard talks...quickly or run. There is no fun stage.

This is very true. I dated a single dad even got engaged. But the thought of him giving his baby mama money every month while he could barely take care of our household boiled my blood. I realized it’s not for me… I didn’t like the idea of sharing my partner. Every single parent thinks it’s not like that but it very much is. I didn’t like the idea of sharing holidays and birthdays too. I really thought it wasn’t that big of a deal. But I realized it was eating at my soul because it just isn’t normal.
Don’t worry single moms, you wouldn’t want any of these egotistical nut jobs anywhere near your kids anyways. I married a single mom with 3 kids and it’s easily the best decision I’ve ever made. My step kids and new family have fulfilled my heart beyond what I thought was possible.

When they married she had my cousin Chris from another relationship.
