I just traded in my 2015 Duramax on a 2020 SLT Sierra 1500. After 4,000 miles I can honestly say this is my favorite truck I've ever owned. It pulls my 21' deep V boat much better than I expected. It's extremely comfortable, rides great, I think it looks fantastic inside and out, it has great options and gets 19mpg city and 23 - 26mpg hwy depending on wind and how fast I drive. All new trucks cost a ton of money. But if you can afford it, these new 2020 GMC's are truly a great vehicle. With the 10 speed trans and 5.3L I'm amazed at how comfortably it pulls 7000lbs. I love it.
Those who keep saying update the interior, have you ever saw the interior of sports cars? Hellcat, or a corvette stingray they aren't plush luxury inside but sport car enthusiasts love the car nonetheless.
It's ridiculous how much they're asking for them with markup here in Utah. I drove up to Rawlins, WY and picked up my brand new 21 SLT and I ended up saving $10k difference with rebates for what they're going for in Utah. Amazing truck I love it.
Just bought a used 2020 SLT after driving every year from 2014 on up. By and far one of the nicest trucks out there and towing is incredible for a 1500. For some reason we don't have any F150's or Ram 1500 around here that can tow 10000 lbs. In looking at well over 100 trucks I only had one F150 that was equipped to hit that mark (and at $54000 for used it wasn't even a consideration) and 2 Rams (one was beat to hell the other was a diesel which my wife refuses to even consider and the price was again way out of range). I so preferred the GMC to the Chevy. Something about the looks and the sight lines just made it feel like a better truck. They are so easy and comfortable to drive I even let my 16 year old granddaughter (on day 2 of having her permit) drive it. She had only driven a mini cooper in her first 2 days, and within 5 miles she had the spacing and the turning all figured out on this truck. She actually loves driving it and takes us for rides every chance she gets. The only issue she has is the heavy foot on the gas. She chirps the tires on just about every stop or turn lol.
At the time you uploaded that video. The 360 cameras (part of the tech package) was not available for the SLT. Tech package includes heads up display upgraded larger gauge a cluster screen , 360 camera system and camera mirror. None of sick we’re available on that SLT but they were available on the LTZ. Based off that alone the LTZ was better
For you guys that had the previous model to this, honestly the grass is not greener on this side. Bought a brand new one. Had it 8 months seen the shop 6 times. Thing is junk! No lemon law in Canada . GMC Canada won't properly respond to my complaints. The whole thing is just a complete let down. I had a beautiful lifted 15 sierra before this never saw the shop. This is a pure let down. Just because its shiny, doesn't mean its better then what ever you guys are driving.
Hey buddy where are you located and I'm in South Carolina myself and there is a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew cab LT trail Boss pick up four-door 6 1/2 ft and it has 142K on the dash and asking 22,900 is that a good deal,, I'm about to sell my house and I'm looking for a nice truck 💚😎👊🏻
I got the Silverado LT Allstar with 5.3 As a second truck letting Girlfriend Drive it.Nice truck got a Demo with 3,000 miles .Beautiful truck and pmt $224/Month 0 down 12,000 a year.Great truck great pmt and the Convenience pkg 2 is nice. Only complaint is with interior feels like needs major updates. Not nearly as nice as my 19 Ram Black Appearance Pkg Big Horn. With Hemi.
The GMC front is too flat, looks like pushing a piece of plywood, and not that you buy trucks for fuel mileage, but it does lessen it. Tailgate will be a wear point nightmare with age. I'll gladly take a Silverado over a Sierra.
Ok ? Most people say it's the nicest looking truck out there, but you got the plywood thing going, that only you understand. Why would you think the tailgate will be a major issue. I mean how often are you using the full function, and it's not exactly a Swiss watch, there are still just a few basic moving parts.
The biggest problem I have with this review is that it's been warmer in American Fork, Utah, than in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. (Recalculating my choices of a half-ton pickup truck, though 👍)
I’m Mmmm going to turn 17 this year on august and I’ll start working when September hits so that I can save up till I turn 18 and get a truck to start my credit
Don’t start with a 50K truck. Terrible idea. You probably won’t be able to get approved on one that expensive with no credit history. I’ve been in your shoes.
As a tech.. I suggest to stay away from these. Oil pressure sensor problems, horrible transmission. We’ve been having countless GM cars/trucks in the shop lately. Buy a Toyota
They’re definitely the same, but I personally like how the GMCs look more. But that’s why they style them differently, to cater to differences in opinions :)

I agree. I just bought a 2020 Denali and it’s the best looking and feeling vehicle I’ve ever owned
Transmission break done 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Heated steering wheel better badging better tail gate better grill. GMC Sierra SLT all the way
I can’t believe the ltz does not have a heated steering wheel. Makes no damn sense.
@@mingomane1 Actually, I have a 2019 Silverado LTZ. Mine happens to have a heated steering wheel.
No 6.2 no go for me. Had two 3.5 EBs and two LTZ z71 6.2s and man the 6.2 is a beast love it!!
GM is my favorite. Wish I could get out of my '18 Cruze for a Sierra.

I agree....I like how GM keep their trucks simple!!!!

In my opinion you are man of honor and I love your reviews.
Just bought this exact same truck. In black as well. Loving it so far.
How much if you don’t mind me asking?
@@derekvasquez1173 it had a discount. Got for $48,000

The bad thing is, you can't turn off the backup camera. It's so bright at night, it blinds you.
Just picked up a 2021 with the 3.0 duramax. 2.5” level in the front and 34s. How it should look.
I configured a v8 crew cab and it came out to cheaper than a f150. Pretty much a nobrainer imo which truck is superior
Did you also factor in late year rebates?
Gonna pick mine up Tuesday!
What package do you need to get the 360 camera view?
Can you explain how the hill decent works and should it be activated all the time or is it? Like what about on cruise control does it engage?
Thanks
I hope they add that tailgate step on the new 2022 Tundra.
So what is better is better the GMC slt or the ltz ?

It depends of ur personal choice I prefer the Chevy
Failed to mention that this is not the standard SLT....... This is the SLT PREMIUM PLUS Trim
Oh! This truck comes with a jellyfish launcher @ 4:39!
Thanks for the review! Any chance j know how the reliablity of this GMC trucks are?
Naturally aspirated engines are more reliable than forced induction ones
Ben another nice review! Any idea when the “new & improved” 2021 F150 is gonna be out??? Yes I know it’s kinda early to ask.😊
I love the front end, but the new f150 killing the truck game
False
Good job man, keep it up
Thanks Ben! This was my suggestion! And probably others too haha
Which engine is better in your opinion 5.3 or the diesel
William Jones I like the diesel more
@@BenHardyCars can you do a video on one sometime? I'm new to your channel and I really enjoy the information
Which would you prefer, the Sierra or the Ram?
george 69 ram
Split between this & the AT4. 🤔
I own a 2018 high country and couldn't imagine a better truck.
after a long time raptor has been visible..

Cuanto es su precio amigo porfabor
I bought one it’s 2020 nice vehicle ❤
How does it ride and handle compared to the RAM and power wise 5.3 10 speed vs 5.7 hemi 8 speed?
Barry Hussein Soetoro hemi is better
6.2 litre smokes both
Motortrend says the Chevy/gmc out handle the ram and f150. Better steering feel too
Sup Ben. Chevy & GMC need 2 COMPLETELY overhaul their interior 🙏🏼. Ford, Chevy, & GMC my absolute favorite.
You could just show us the monroney RE what it costs.
The Silverado and Sierra are the same trucks different badging! And tailgate!!
That's ALWAYS been the case, Miguel.
Nice content and review.👍👍
I looked at the interior and for a minute there I thought I was at a Tupperware party
They just need to update the interior
Why? Its a truck lol
Yes, badly!
where again is the sierra badging? please spend more time on that . . .

Nice. But like all new trucks now. Overpriced.
Nice. Ram’s nicer.
Nice 👍
The exterior looks great but that interior is awful.
Next time do not speak so fast. It is hard to hear yoi

GMC has ALWAYS been better than Chevy.

Sorry the trucks are the same underneath and the Chevy looks much better. The gmc looks like a boomermobile 😂
