Have you noticed that your edited bits of cutting and cramping the water pipes souded like the beginning of "Money" from Pink Floyd? I think that's the musician/artist showing through!
That was fun to watch. That's what I call spontanious ingenuity ! 😁

    • @jaygee5693
      @jaygee5693 2 роки тому +2

It's not the first time Peter has laid down some funky rythms and beats with his edits, but this time he extended it a bit, and I think, took it to a whole new level! I didn't quite catch "Money", but I'll listen for that next time I watch it.

Ha ha yes I had the bass line for Money playing in my head (spontaneously ) too.

    Peter at the piping,
    Man, it’s exciting,
    He wields those clips,
    With spontaneous snips,
    Then lo and behold,
    The plumbing’s pure gold.!

Suggestion, when you put in the galley cabinetry put in a door or access hatch in the back to access all that plumbing. It will have no aesthetic impact and make your life a lot easier when those pex connection start leaking. Which BTW they will if you have no accesss but if you put in access they will never leak, so win, win.

Many pump noises on a boat can be vastly reduced with rubber hose(expands to dampen the pulsating) from the pump and an air tank like in a house with it's own well.

Looking forward to the sponaneous bonus episode, I thought I was being inventive heating my hot water from the waste engine heat, I didn't know it was usually done. I don't know much about boat systems and this channel is a gold mine for me. It sounds strange but I'm looking forward to seeing how you deal with the heads and waste water. Does the fresh water tank need water treatment or is it not drinking water?

Will you be installing a hot water circulation system so you don't waste water by running it till it actually comes out hot at the tap? A '30 second' count down switch at each hot service will flush the cool water from the lines and ensure heat on demand... I know it's a very short system, but fresh, clean water shouldn't be wasted, even with a water maker...

Missing plumbing while contorted under the sole, may have looked similar the Robinson Crusoe on Mars finding food that seemed to be Vienna sausage skewered on lines in a dripping cave. Is that Romex if so that is a NO NO
The standards that apply to wiring your boat in the US are the ABYC standards and the Code of Federal Regulations Title 33 CFR Sections 183.401 - 183.460 The ABYC standards are voluntary and the CFR standards are mandatory. The ABYC standards incorporate the CFR standards so a boat built to the ABYC Standards should automatically meet the CFR standards. This article is an introduction to the subject and further articles will delve in a bit deeper to the material.
All wire must be at least 16 awg with some minor exceptions. It must have written on it the type/style, voltage rating, size and temperature rating. In engine spaces it must be oil resistant and have a temperature rating of at least 75 Degrees C. It must be stranded to ensure that it is flexible and vibration resistant. All wires must be identified and this is normally achieved by means of color coding.
AC wires should be sheathed or bundled separately from DC wires. If individual conductors are used then this means a separate bundle of AC wires and a separate bundle of DC wires. If the wires are Duplex and Triplex cables where an outer jacket is wrapped around a set of conductors then that is considered separate sheathing.

Always like your gentile nature and the quality of the work..but gotta say, I have never seen a rehab project that had so many of its components (all?) redone twice. Twice because they were purposely done temporarily in the wrong place at the wrong time. I appreciate the need to do what one can with what one has, but the collective waste of time and energy in this project has been astounding. It reminds me of ripoff hourly carpenters who make work for themselves by the way they choose to do things. I understand your need to keep producing content but can't take the pace. Good luck, keep safe, peace out..
