Obi-Wan's nickname was literally The Negotiator. Qui-Gon only showed up if food was being served, the bloody freeloader. That's what he took the Naboo peace negotiation assignment, someone told him the Neimodians would be serving sandwiches. Besides, the whole galaxy knows that the universal symbol of peace is a lightsaber hacking up a rampaging youngling. Nothing more peaceful than that.
Probably gets assassinated or removed from power one way or another. Considering we haven't heard of her or seen her in any or media there is a good chance that palps did away with her.
