- Today was an awesome day in an overcast May 31,2023 in Carlsbad Village! This features a lot of hornshows, quills, and there is a deadhead in this to. This features the surprise of both NCTC 3002 and 3001 in the rush hour consists. The deadhead happened due to coaster 640 breaking down in Encinitas at about the halfway point of the line. I hope you enjoy the history being made and the tracks being back to normal having lots of train action.
@blose774 was there also for a huge portion of the day and it definitely was a lot of fun out there!

Cool Coaster Trains but those wraps on Coaster Cars have got to go I'm zoning those wraps leave them clean please!

@@djmasterty2309 Well. the wraps make the Coaster cars look rather top heavy I wish they should up the cars.

Do you know if the f59s are still in service currently? And if so how I could catch them?
They are switchers at Stuart Mesa yard I think.
It really makes me wonder if this is Coaster giving the F59PHIs their final hurrahs since time is about to be up for them... I hope they at least once pair 2306 with one before it's over.

I unfortunately know that also. I’m happy I caught it leading twice!
I’m not sure since I only stayed for Amtrak 587 since the operator on 642 was really lazy on the horn.
