Railfanning Encinitas September 27,2024 Featuring Hornshows,Double Sided SC-44 Charger Consist

- Here is the video of some Encinitas Railfanning on the day of September 27,2024. This video features a good amount of hornshows, lots of quilling, a double sided charger consist that being protected power facing north on the consist along with a charger leader. There are some new wraps featured on this video too. The Ikon Pass wrap on the NCTC 2307 and 2205. The San Diego Padres Wrap on NCTC 2502 ,and there also is the San Diego Wave Wrap on NCTC 2208. This has lots of high speed Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Action, Northbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliners could be going up to 80 MPH and Southbounds could only max at 60 MPH when they have a diverging clear at CP Swami. @@BLJF101 yes. It’s funny because Amtrak threw a couple curveballs at the end of the afternoon. A changeup along with it on the 774 curveball.

Most of the trains in the afternoon were delayed mainly the sb surfliners and I can see why since there were signal issues caused by vandalism according to surfline alerts today.
@@blose774 yes I did notice that yesterday. On the San Juan Capistrano Virtual Railcam I saw a mention of signal issues on the Orange Sub I believe it was.
@@djmasterty2309 Specifically trains coming into Fullerton I think.The trains today seem to be on time for the most part with minor delays of 5 minutes or so .

@@ryanbahrami that is a very slim rarity if that were the case. There’s a such thing as a cabcar sandwiched in the consist.

Unfortunately, we’re not gonna see 785 with 6951 and 2118 and 583 with 6905 and 2111
6905 would have led 785 on the day this was filmed also if the rotation wasn’t swapped at Santa Fe Depot. Amtrak 765’s original consist became 572 and that usually would become 785 normally. 761’s original consist was swapped out also in terms of that being 774 and CDTX 2118 was put on there and 2112 was put on a different set. That train should have led 587 that day.
