fun stealth ship I've been playing with lately is the Ares Ion, you can get it to be about 3km detection range with the main gun having a 3.9km range, plus 20 s3 missiles, perfect for stealth hrt and ehrt. Could be worth checking out in this series
Quickly becoming my favorite SC content creator, sir. Your videos are always full of thoroughly detailed information but delivered concisely and the editing and narrative always clean and on point.
You can throw the RMC boxes into the nearest R&R hangar and move them to market with a cargo ship. Stor*All 8SCU boxes can help you consolidate the boxes for easier loading of the cargo ship.
Beyond some of the issues others mentioned it's also worth noting that for the Vulture and for the Prospector there are many spots where your signature isn't going to be the problem, it's the fact that you are sending out active pings all the time to find those panels or rocks, so you are flat out advertising your position when doing that. It MIGHT be helpful once you've found what you needed while you are doing salvaging or mining, but so much of the time you are out there is about actively finding the stuff, so you're always a pretty big target in that sense. Now MAYBE it's less of an issue if you keep your radar penetration at a high percentage, presumably that is supposed to mean a smaller "ping" beam, if you will, in favor of ping distance and if that were to hold true than, say, a 75% level would mean you are mainly pinging out only in front of you (despite the graphic you see) and thus might not be advertising your position to the rear at all and only a little on any of the sides. Might be worth testing out, anyway.
Foxy! Consider doing a video on Scanning caves from your ship in scanning mode and testing how deep different size radars can go! Also, Caves have maps now!
Top stuff... the boxes were doing that to me tonight , not much fun chasing boxes across an extra large hangar. and also smashed bits off my taurus lol
haha no way, you make this video now? i just bought a vulture today xD CIG stole mine months ago, i was finally able to add the red racing paint job. its soo good looking!
it's actually a pretty good idea if you salvage around lagrange points, but even safer would be just learning how to go to the aaron halo since you will never find another player there.
There's one big problem with this Vulture approach... you are not the hunter, so as the prey, anything less than your highest CS value, is more than enough. On the other hand, if you were attempting to do a bounty mission with your Vulture (good luck), well in that case, all that effort and expense, would make perfect sense lol
I was wondering if you ever got around to trying that Tana/Kore as a Stealth sniper build. That was back when you were building Stealth ships with the 5km cannon. I had suggested putting the extra turret on the wing. If you did build it ai don't recall seeing it
interesting idea, but the one issue is, what you are salvaging from is still gonna be very detectable. That and the 2 big spotlights every time you salvage something. Back when disruption weapons worked better was fun to do with a vulture so you could "eat your target alive" cause the shutdown effect would let you salvage the ships. Could see a stealth build let you sneak up closer to targets as they sit in nav mode till they detect you. Mind if you go targeting people they will know some one is there just not where they are.
Just a thought, with a bike in the Tali's cargo bay (modules now being a thing) one could get to a ship with eggs inside, bust open the door, pull out the cargo, head back to your ship and THEN nuke it. Just a thought. A *profitable* thought, if you can find a place to sell em at...
I can’t think why cross section would be detected by passive radar or thermal detection systems. I think CIG should make the system this way as it would encourage pinging and of course detection of a pinging ship. This could add to multiplayer ship play.
I heard they reduced RMC prices but Jesus, half? Guess I'll go back to not playing the game lol salvage was the only loop I liked and could make money doing. Thanks for another great video though!
I always remove the guns from my Vulture and Prospector anyway... 2x S1 weapons aren't going to do anything to anyone anyway. Turning your little guns onto a potential threat is the biggest mistake you can make, you're 100% guaranteed not to win any fights. So just get rid of them altogether!! I've even gone out salvaging with no shields before, you don't need them, lol.
Love the concept, but I need to see it tested from another point of view. Your crossection looked to be at about 12km despite the EM and IR signatures being impressively low. Possible I didn't fully understand the stealth process.

highly unique and interesting content. well done!
great guide
Keep up the good work, thank you.

I love the Dying Star on my vulture as well... I recently did a stealth build and just saw this video and thought i was living in a simulation.

i kno iv commented this before but i cant help it i love the paint u use on that vultre
that paint looks so good on the vulture
First. I've been thinking about this build.
gg

Yeah, I don't see how you can realistically control your angle to the enemy when they are the ones who approach you.
12km max detection is still better then 27...
Soo sneaky, it can sneak inside a c2 and salvage it from the inside!

Excellent video/infos,like the skin on your Vulture, where did you get it? Ty👽
Thx, about the skin, it was on sale sometime ago together with the corsair on the RSI store
We need a stealth C8X Pisces. That would be something to behold.
where do i get the "parked it on the wrong side of town" paint?

any chance you could make a new stealth vulture video with the available parts in 4.0?
7:58 low gravitational force on gas planets :-D

stalse vulture is nice i need to buy one
with the C1 being kind of a poster child (chosen for the fab hangar demo) can yo do an unofficial stealth C1?

Where did you get the graphics on your ship? (Spray paint look)
could you put the link to the websites you use in the discr?

You can use them to crack open ramps on derelicts

I dont think cross section matters for scanning... only for missle tracking? Im not sure now that i think about it
It looks like your salvage is possessed.
Anyone having issue with retaliator torpedos not loading? Like it says empty
I have the same problem still trying to figure it out.
@billkranz8035 let me know if you find a fix
