Just replace one of my tubes on Vibe Seghost 130. I found using your method squishes the end of the tube decreasing the diameter. In place of the board smash method, I used a counter sunk screw inserted, and screwed in. After the tube is heated and curled. I practiced a bunch before the actual flaring on the yak. For me, this kept the diameter of the tube intact, and flared the tube to my satisfaction. Great tip using the pin to hold the tube in place. Thanks again.

Nice. I’ve been using drip irrigation to run lines as well but will check out fridge water line next 👍
You should first put a nail into the tubing opening to keep the hole open when you heat it.
