Thank you! I received pedal kit today from Amazon with no paperwork whatsoever! I would never have figured out that you are supposed to secure it at the end so everything is adjustable without untying the wire.
Thank you for this video. I just bought a pair of the NovelBee braces from Amazon and had NO CLUE how to run the cables so they were adjustable and turned the rudder. I appreciate this. Thanks again.
Thank you so much! I almost gave up and started drilling holes! Lol literally made it so simple to understand. I was totally overthinking the installation process. Thanks again!
I got some generic kit from Amazon. Last time I looked for it to give someone a link, I couldn't find it anymore. I drilled holes in my kayak and just tied the cord to the holes on the rudder assembly. It should have a triangular piece with holes on the points.
This isn't exactly what I got (no name generic) but it's similar. Roeam 2Pcs Adjustable Locking Kayak Foot Braces Pedals with Tail Rudder Foot Control: amzn.to/31h3G7h
I don't know. It's still in storage from last winter. Ask me again in a few weeks, and I'll check if you still need it. It mounted right to the existing holes and was basically the same size as the stock foot braces.
@@DanHiteshew-oneandonly ...yes, once you see it done, but without your video, I would have been cursing for sure. I installed mine on my canoe today (first time using a rudder with a canoe, not something normally done but I had spare parts anmd decided to give it a go).
I ordered one from Amazon that you had in another link but it doesn't look the same as yours. However I haven't received it yet but in the pictures on Amazon and it didn't look the same
Your right this particular bit of information is very useful but hard to come by. Many thanks for taking the time and effort to share.

Do you know if this can work for controlling a small minn. kota trolling motor?
Thanks man! 👍
Thank you
Puuuurfect mate,, just what I was looking for...
What is that type of cable? Clutch cable or cycle brake line possibly?
I'm using 300 lb test braided fishing line,
What kind of screws did you use to mount the tracks? Did you have access to the inside?
I just used the nuts and bolts from the track that came with it. The holes lined up perfectly.
Thank you!!!! Very helpful!!!
Which rudder did you use? Curious how you attached the cables to the rudder to allow smooth turning. Mine is binding up now.

I plan on mounting this system to my 4hp evanrude outboard for steering so I don't have to sit sideways
Where did you get the pedal system from

I saw your other comment first. The one I got was a "no name" and I got the rudder and pedal braces separately.
Still working on it
