Sketching process video how to draw a fashion illustration on the ipad using procreate

This is what I do when I start to draw without a plan of what I want to draw, I just start to scribble away in the sketchbook and eventually come up with something that I want to illustrate and make a full fashion illustration from.
It can be hard at first but sometimes it's the best way to push your brain into a creative mode and can be a great way of dialling into inspiration.
I'm using the app "Procreate" on the iPad. I have used other apps but this one works best for me and there is a lot of how to draw on procreate material ready on youtube with all the hacks and tricks you may use. I use some of them, working in layers is a revelation, but to be honest I like it because I use it because it is so close to drawing with a pencil and paper.
The page I use is an A3 page and instead of just having plain white I put a second layer above the background. This is a full page wash with the "Nikko Roll" brush in procreate in a light sandy beige that I then make about 30% opaque. I do this mainly to help my eyes, I find it calms the strength of the bright white and I can draw for longer without getting a headache. It's secondary function is that if you turn off the background you get a slightly less dark ground on which you can still see a black outline but can then colour a light without losing yourself.Try it! it does help.

hahahaha oh paddleboat! No bushells here but I do have double coat tim tams and vegimite in the cupboard! In fact, I am eating vegimite toast right this minute!!!
