I remember being totally obsessed with sonic advance 2. That game still holds up well. It has some of my favorite sonic ost and the art and character animation is beautiful. You can unlock tails, knuckles, cream, and even amy( if you're lucky) as playable after sonic. You can also unlock some chao mini games too. Unfortunately I was never good enough to collect all of the chaos emeralds or unlock amy. It's still great fun though. I have no idea how I used to play it in the car without getting motion sick as a kid. My original gba got killed by battery acid one summer when I was in fifth grade so I got an sp two years later. Now my sp either can't hold a charge or there's a short around the light that makes it constantly fluctuate between red and green. Either way it makes gaming on it hard so I might need a new one.

Ive never met anyone with a copy of legendary super warriors other than myself (yours is in beautiful condition holy crap) I remember seeing it at GameStop as a kid for like 2 bucks and really wanting it, it was cheap enough that and I loved DBZ enough that My mom was willing to get it for me, the translation errors in it are really memorable to me
Emerald's the best -- fond memories of playing gen 2 and 3 on car/camping trips. Shame that physical copies have RTC troubles -- even if you get a fresh battery in berries won't grow and the tides for shoal cave won't work. Really frustrating. Golden Sun is also a favourite of mine!
I've got a good job and I'm interested in retro gaming, but I also live with people: Meaning I don't have a lot of room to spread out and I'm strategic with my money. Once I have my own place, I'll get my old PC up and running, and start collecting vintage game systems.
ohh FUCK YAA!! DBZ Legendary Warriors for GBC fuckin LOVE THAT GAME!! grew up with it as a kid, still gladly have it in my collection unfortunately missing the Box (I kno shame) but god damm was it hard as shiit once you get to the Freeza Saga especially when fighting the Ginu Force!!
Cancelled my Analog Pocket order, and for the price of the system, screen protector and hard case +shipping I was able to get an IPS modded GBA and Pokemon Emerald. Thats the problem with making people wait to get the product they've paid for... If I had the thing in-hand I would never have returned it for my money back, but when its either wait 2+ months(because I don't trust the current forecast of Febuary ship dates) or buy something locally at a game shop the choice is easy.
My best pickup to this day was Jet Grind Radio on the GBA, new and complete for 50 dollars. It was from a mom and pop game store that sadly shut down. To this day I've never seen another copy in the wild, and online it's becoming pretty expensive too. As a big fan of the series I had to own it.
So true with that pinball game. Also Sky or die? I think it was called was also a classic to play to waste time while at other peoples houses with old pcs.
Naruto ninja council 2 is so fun to go back to!( I love it's music especially) I used to try completing the story as only one of the characters if I could. I have pokemon pinball ruby and sapphire edition as well. It's the only pokemon game where I've completed the pokedex lol! I own emerald, sapphire, firered, and pokemon mystery dungeon red rescue team for gba as well. I used to have the boxes but my mom threw them out when I was attending high school one day in 2009. I still have the manual for emerald and yoshi's island advance though.( they were luckily in my trading card binder at the time.) When my grandma bought me soul silver for my seventeenth birthday shortly after it's release a part of my sadness went away because it too had a nice box thet included the pokewalker and manual. I still have it now, probably because I lived with my grandma back then instead of my mom at the time. My most recent gba buy is spyro season of ice because one of my first gba games was the sequel season of flame( along with shrek for my tenth birthday) Season of flame was fun but shrek was annoyingly hard lol. Now I want to hunt down more.
I had kept my GBA SP since release. I had bought another with a DBZ card style battling game for 5 bucks at a neighbor's yard sale. I also have a GBA. I need more games for it, mainly Pokemon, since that's what I was mainly playing on it during my youth. I still play Pokemon to this day because of the monsters and music. I'm not one for transferring Pokemon over a cloud just so I can relegate toward them and ignore the other Pokemon. I relegate to the old, as I'm more familiar with them and many new Pokemon are good for the initial story, I just don't think many nowadays are as powerful as the old ones, barring stat totals, of course. You may see a Pokemon strong, but I'll keep thinking it's weak like Garchomp or Lucario, for example. I've never used them during regular play until I beat the game. I don't truly see many to be strong like a Snorlax, Slaking, or Salamence. Sure, Salamence is a bad defensive minded Pokemon, but using it in Gale of Darkness is a different story altogether. Salamence is still strong if you use it correctly. Many Pokemon seem strong just because of how the CPU is using them, like Bertha's Whiscash or Aaron's Vespiquen or Drapion, but they wouldn't see the high competitive scene because of that.
So glad to hear that you got a new all inclusive gameboy system. I've been dying for one of those especially with the beautiful displays. Not sure if you've ever been into them but one of my absolute favorite games for any Gameboy system apart from Pokemon are the Harry Potter ones.
Highly recommend them one and two are incredible RPGs no other Harry Potter game has acted or been made in that fashion. And they are very addictive especially since you get to play as the full team most times and they all have different specialties.

I see everyone talking about DBZ Super Warriors, which honestly I never even heard of surprisingly, but is no one hip to Supersonic Warriors??? That was one of my favorite games to play, there was so much fun to be had with that game imo, at least as a kid. The fighting mechanics were actually pretty fluid for GBA too.

I need to make a run through the library again. I remember being hella excited to get a GBA for xmas on its launch year because it was always said to be like a "portable SNES, but better." I played maybe 2 games and never touched the thing again. When I dabbled in emulation there were droves and droves of shovelware games and I just gave up on it. Even the games that are highly rated seem to have very inflated review scores. I got kind of upset with the lack of quality and just lost interest.
I've got some CIB and sealed Gameboy games for sale on ebay and at the flea market in Maryland. I have Battle B Daman sealed for Gameboy advance and Quest for Camelot CIB for Gameboy color. I also have some Mario and Sonic games I haven't listed yet. I might keep some of them in my collection.
Does that emulator have it's own save system built into it, or does it still rely on the battery saves on the board? I just don't see myself spending money on a game I can't even save.
I just bought alien hominid complete in box. £225. I had to have it tho before someone else got it. If you haven’t played that game check it out super fun.
Check the fuse on the GBA bet that's why it stopped turning on. It's right next to the power switch and the battery terminals. It's small but it's there and with the new screen it's possible it blew

Okay that Frogger Advanced commercial had me rolling, I've never seen that some before lmao
We here at Retro Rebound dig deep for the best retro commercials
ohh FUCK YAA!!
Aside from Pokemon and other RPGs the games are generally fair priced
Metroid Zero Mission, Aria of Sorrow and others are so rare they are super expensive too
@@leinsaat5779 yep
there is nothing better than retro consoles. I bought a game boy color and playing pokemon blue
Probably because they were practically giving games away. People love cheap
It's really great to continue to watch your videos and see you get as hyped about boxart and manual art like I do. Keep it up man.
I was doing the same thing last year. Just growing my collection. Unfortunately I’m still waiting for my pocket. Ready to get it already
More ninja council series videos plz, I’ll watch them all twice if you do!
So true with that pinball game. Also Sky or die? I think it was called was also a classic to play to waste time while at other peoples houses with old pcs.
Definitely looking forward to all the Megaman EXE content sir ❤
Thank you for the video!!
Happy to provide 🫡
Recently I’m feeling nostalgic and I’m going thru my Nintendo handhelds and gba is at the top!
My favorite game when I was little was a monsters inc game where you would find the pieces to the door.
Always love seeing a new retro rebound video!
I have a very nice cib gba collection, had most for over 10 years now.
My buddy told me to check out Harry Potter on GBA! Apparently it’s a turn based RPG or something?
@@retrorebound8887 yes sir it sounds whack but it's really dope. You also find like hidden spells everywhere that aren't taught in class you just have to look in weird places.
Hey! Love your video! I just dusted off my old white GBA and also bought a modded one! I’ve slowly been building my GBA collection again. I’m happy that I still have some of my old carts, like Golden Sun, Aria of Sorrow, and Metroid Fusion. Do you have any recommendations for reputable sources to buy carts from? I’m a bit wary of eBay, I’ve come across a fake one already.
Got A NES Pattern GBA SP, Tetris DX, Dr. Mario, And Pokemon Ruby, I Love It!
I remember when creators on youtube and just the internet in general would post whatever they were interested in posting and you could just find creators and people with the same interests and hobbies as you, and the best were always finding people into the same niche things and now you can't anymore because everyone is worried about posting a
I still have all my games, just never saved the boxes since. I ripped them when I first unboxed them as a kid.
I'm so into my gameboy advance. ..it's fast the games rock and the mods just make it all yours..we not kids where we only got what we got..
Buu's Fury is one of the GREATEST DBZ games of all time, let alone on a handheld device like the GameBoy Advance!
I remember even ad a kid thinking gameboy games would never be worth much because there seemed and endless supply. Imagine my shock when I go to ebay after turning a gameboy on after a decade or more.
I gave away almost all of them lol
Just found all my old games. Have most every game you mentioned here (minus Naruto) with boxes including Emerald! Used to be obsessed with Pokémon Pinball hahaha
I pulled out my GBA SP a few weeks ago. It still works, and the battery hasn’t even leaked yet! I still replaced the battery though.
Will that happen with all handhelds from back then? I still got my Advance, SP, two micros and a DS lite.
3:36 - I'm curious to check out this Tiger Woods game mentioned. I'm about to get a psp and I saw a game bundle for sale which had Tiger Woods PGA Tour included. It has him in a Red Shirt pointing at you. Would this be the same game you're referring to? A year isn't mentioned on that cover art
If you like golf with Rpg elements you should try Golf Story if you haven’t
Absolutely love my pocket!
Gba forever ❤
I see everyone talking about DBZ Super Warriors, which honestly I never even heard of surprisingly, but is no one hip to Supersonic Warriors??? That was one of my favorite games to play, there was so much fun to be had with that game imo, at least as a kid. The fighting mechanics were actually pretty fluid for GBA too.
Wanted an analogue pocket but couldn't get my hands on one, ended up picking up an anbernic instead, not the same though. And yes to that pinball game!! I spent hours playing that thing 😂
Minish cap was real good back on GBA I loved that game.
gba is so awesome. i hated the original but dealt with the non backlit model. once the ags 100 came out i was in heaven
All about the AGS 101
Where did you get your acrylic cases from? They look so sweet. I may consider upgrading my sleeves for some of my GBA Pokemon titles!
Hey matty I would really love it if you did a video on prototype 1 or 2. Its on modern consoles so it shouldn't be to hard to play. I love each of those games and they are like 10 years old or more so would totally count for a retro look back on.
I beat both back on 360
I need to make a run through the library again.
Did anyone else have a plastic pinball machine? I got one for Xmas and it was themed after the pinball game you brought up in this video
I just bought alien hominid complete in box. £225. I had to have it tho before someone else got it. If you haven’t played that game check it out super fun.
The demon slayer hoodie doe
Check the fuse on the GBA bet that's why it stopped turning on. It's right next to the power switch and the battery terminals. It's small but it's there and with the new screen it's possible it blew
Dude I'm buying and trading for more cib gba games than I ever have because of the Analog pocket! I'm selling off alot of reteo stuff except cib stuff because of the steamdeck & Analog pocket, those 2 devices did a 1, 2 combo on my gaming & collecting habits!
I'm trying to do the same thing. I just found a collection of GBA games I had, boxes (in various conditions) and manuals.
I just got my RG353V and been stuck on the GBA section of games. So much fun on that nice screen.
Nintendo probably going too raise the price too 100 $ for Game Boy games whenever they add them too there Online Service I grew tired of waiting and just got a flash cart and Game Boy Advance Sp for less
