  • Hey Guys,
    Welcome back to our channel!
In todays episode Rhys is hand making the firing pieces, we were going to buy these in, but the lead time was too long so Rhys decided to hand make them. It was a little awkward due to the two skylights in the middle of the flat roof.
    What our channel is about:
We bought this semi-detached bungalow in August 2022 and given ourselves 3years to flip the property and sell on. We have a target budget of £70,000! Natasha is the editor and video maker, while Rhys is the builder (a carpenter by trade). We plan on doing 95% of the work ourselves to keep costs down.
This channel is for documenting our experiences - Good or Bad. This is our first time doing anything like this with full times jobs! Can we stick within our budget? Will the building inspector pass each stage? and the biggest question...will we still be married at the end of the project? Subscribe to find out...

Awesome job Rhys, fried my brain with all the measurements, bit like rocket science to me! But great to see, good skills!!

thank you, took me a few evenings of thinking and sketching for the best falls to run away from the pitched roof, skylights and all fall to the outlets!
All carpentry is, is just basic maths and some geometry, haha
wish it was just one fall with all the same furring pieces so I could make a jig and blast them all out in half hour!

2 things, you need a new saw and the fall on a roof can be too much 30mm over 5ft was pushing it

      Hope I don’t need a new saw as it’s fairly new and a new’ish blade 😂

Hi both Is the reason for the multiple roof falls because of the roof lanterns , I just assumed it would it would fall away from the house . But in this matter I have absolutely no knowledge, So it would be interesting if you could just elaborate on this course of action . Certainly as someone has said there’s a lot going on achieving this ,and you definitely need to have your head screwed on the right way 😂 which I think is pretty obvious that you have . Kind regards as always 😀👍👍👍

Hey, its the first time doing a flat roof and I wanted to run the Walter away from the pitched roof, then I also want to run the water away from the skylight up stands and then I want the water to flow to all 3 outlets in each corner of the new building. took a while to work out the best falls but I've managed it so far and I hope it works haha
