I was adopted when I was 2. My adopted moms son molested me all the way up to age 14 on and off. I wrote about it in a journal bc I was too scared to tell my mom bc she made me feel unsafe. When she read the notebook she pulled me out of school and told me not to tell anyone or else her son would go to jail. I did as she said and he still walks free with daughters of his own. It effects me still and I worry for my nieces.

Lie detector proved both daughters endured sexual abuse..the mother lunged at this creep and got a few good swings in, it sure looked like the security guard eased up on restraining her to let her get him a few good times. And if so, good for him.

The girl in the story is 3 almost 4 years old at the time the story happened. She wasn’t even really old enough to explain what was happening to her and she certainly wasn’t old enough to lie. This little girl told everybody in her life and the mother isolated her. I know the town that it happened in because my friend lived near the family in California and a different friend lived near the family in Oregon so I heard both sides
The news was brutal but the criminal trial exposed a lot of disturbing things. This mom. They’re playing it again now because the criminal trial is over and this mom. Oh my fucking God. The things that she knew and allowed to happen in her home are horrifying

As someone who was abused at a young age, I feel I was lucky to have parents like this father and step-mother. My mother immediately looked into therapy, legal action, and took time off work to spend more time with me. Love you mom. I wouldn’t be here without you

Wish my mom was like that. My mom stayed with my stepdad who orally raped me when I was 11 years old. My grandmother and aunt also knew after a concerned friend of mine that I confided in told my grandmother, and they were going to get me and my brother out of that house UNTIL she found out that my mom knew about the abuse. They didn't want my mom to get in trouble too, so they just put me right back into the house without doing a damn thing about it. I recently disowned my family because it hurts thinking about how every adult in my life failed me as a child.

The “mom” only passed for not witnessing it because she had her back turned. If she doesn’t see it, then supposedly she can’t witness it. She had known by being in the same room(it was mentioned), even if she had never *seen* it happen. She ignored her daughter’s cries for help and did nothing to stop it.
She should *NEVER* be allowed to regain any custody of her daughter. And if she’s ever allowed further contact with the little girl, it should *ALWAYS* be with legal supervision appointed by the court. Her actions should warrant at least the majority of what that monster(I absolutely REFUSE to call him a “man”) gets.
As for the dad and stepmother, I applaud their response to the situation because it sounds like they’re taking the necessary steps to protect that little girl and keep her safe.
I also pray that the girl can and will thrive despite the horror she was subjected to.

I'm a childcare student, and my heart is in deep despair for that little girl. As soon as that man came on stage and threatened the father, I got actual goosebumps. Just by the way he fake cries, and charges the father, you can tell that man ain't just an abuser, he's a bloody monster. That mother ain't any good either, choosing a man over her own child who has been traumatised enough...
As someone who has been in her situation, not with the disease part but the abuse and rape she is very brave to tell someone that this happened and I am proud of her and I feel horrible that this happened

I started crying at the description of HORRIBLE things this sweet child had to endure. When you think it doesn't get much worse...it does. Actually they did help the child before the show... thats how they have paper work listing the issues the child had. The step mother and biological father took the girl to the hospital once they realized she had lice.

The full episode Dan comes out and explains that she failed cuz after the allegation was made and brought to the "moms" attention she started to question if it really happened, hind sight is 20/20. I've watched this episode so many times cuz it's shocking! But yeah I'm surprised they didn't show the part where Dan comes out and explains y she failed that question. The full 42 min episode shows it tho. Not at all defending her cuz u can't defend someone like that but this is horribly horribly HORRIBLY horrific for this small small child. I'm so happy the step mom and the dad came forward and took this child out of this situation.

I’ve had MRSA. It is one of the most painful things you can experience. The bacteria literally eats away at your flesh from the inside out. I hope that poor girl heals well and never has to experience any pain again. Truly awful.
I just had it as well. I had to have a weeklong course of doxycycline, which was harsh on me. It hurt so bad. I wound up with it due to a flare up of my chronic illness.
