Honestly I felt sick. I was baffled at the father and mother’s naivety. Also these parents have been neglectful in their role. You don’t have a strange man sleep in your house with your kids. You don’t let them go away. This is sick. This neglect has has horrifying consequences. I feel for the children I really do, I hope they got the help they need.

I heard about the father’s death a year ago from Marion when she replied to one of the comment’s of the the same video from a different channel. Not only did I hear about his death, but he was revealed to be abusive which is the reason why the mother divorced him.
The mom assumed the dad wouldn't be friends with someone who would hurt thier kids. And when she saw signs she took action.

I couldn't agree more. I'm a 26 year old man, and I look at Steve like a father figure, and he has imparted wisdom in me. I'm very thankful for that.
because whats the first thing your parents teach you when you're a child? you can't trust anybody except for mommy and daddy, OR a police officer. some people just never grow up, managing to make it through life just by obeying the rules, doing what they're told, never questioning anything, and they get taken advantage of by people who are aware they can abuse this blind trust that was instilled upon them before they could think for themselves. they trusted him so much that even when things didnt seem right they just wouldnt let their son sit on his lap anymore, that's just really sad at that point, they basically knew what was happening but they still wouldnt let themselves believe it because they thought he was a police officier.....

Out of all of Steve's shows this episode was one of the few that really stood out the most.Between the father basically allowing his kids to be violated,the creep being a police dispatcher and the creep describing how he disguised wanting a hug as a ploy to grope the child the episode is pretty unforgettable.I wish there was an update to this episode
From what I found out on UA-cam from this episode on a different video uploaded by a different user a few years back, Marion replied to one of the comments revealing something that happened before the show and partially after the show, and from her sister on Facebook who commented and replied of this episode on Facebook, it was very saddening:
Billy was abusive before the show, not sure why he was like this. But three years after appearing on the show, he died of cancer. Marion is with a man who is abusive to her and her sons, and her sons have issues. Plus, Marion blames the world for how her sons have turned out.
I thought the aftermath would have a happy ending, but there isn't. Although, Billy's end was one good part since he never changed after the show. Hopefully, Marion and her sons do get lives better, including her current husband out of their lives. I believe her sister should be the one to go on the show to give the update.

You know what is the most creepy about this? The predator never really seemed to have a relationship with the parents outside of the children. I would never have let my kids around him alone and I would've told him to stay away from me and my family if I felt something was off. People have to be really careful with who they let around their young kids because they're easily susceptible to being groomed because they don't know better. Unfortunately many people/parents entrust themselves and their families into the hands of law enforcement because we're taught that they are protectors. Even doctors for example. We hang on the word of these people because of the title they carry and predators know that. Regarding my story there's so much more that needs to be explained but I told the main details. Because of the fact that the police officer was friends and willing to give me back to the pimp I didn't dare say a word after I finally was able to be brought home by my mom. We discussed it and we were too scared that they would find our address . We had many sleepless nights together. We moved within a couple months out of state with no words to any one. Me, mom and my family had a lovely life . Again so many details aren't here but I truly thank you. You're so sweet. Stay safe doll. Hugs to you❤❤❤

The fact that the dad was more upset when he found out the guy lied about being a cop made me so mad. I was literally yelling at my phone like “HE TOUCHED YOUR CHILD AND YOU’RE UPSET HE LIED TO YOU ABOUT BEING A COP?!”
The dad is selfish and lazy since he never did anything to stop Mark from hurting his sons.
There was a scene in the full episode about Steve asking Billy if he loves his sons, to which he says yes, although, Steve asked him if he does, then why did he let them go away on an overnight visit with Mark to begin with. Steve tells him that he looks at Mark, he would never let his kids go with him since he sees him as a bad guy.
Steve told Billy that he was a cop in the past and asked if he could take his sons out for trips, to which Billy said no, although Steve was testing him. The question is did Billy answer no because he realized how wrong he was or was to have Steve not get angry at him more or something else.
If you go to Steve to prove you’re not a creep, don’t wear a teal sweater vest

I’ve been in a similar situation, slept in a bed while being 10 or 11 years old with a 30+ year old man. My parents giving the benefit of the doubt to that man, in total 3 different things happened. After years and years of having that man walking around in my house, having to urge to hide from him but not always able to do that. Finally talked to my uncle who brought some sense into my parents. They both shocked on how blind they were and I can say, I finally do not have to see that man in my house anymore. My mother and a few siblings still have contact with him but they keep that man out of my life. The only way I can see him, which I hope will be the minimum of times, is in the train on my way to school.

Sadly, we need to re-examine our teachings in order to ENSURE the protection of our children. To me, nearly everyone is suspect these days. The volunteer church van driver, the middle-school teacher, the pastor, mom’s brother, dad’s best friend and Godfather (Coach Bobby), school resource officer, etc……..these are just a few of the “trusted” folk I’ve seen per various news reports and other media who’ve repeatedly and maliciously violated children lately.

Some parents make poor choices first when it comes to their own children, and when they find out the truth, later on, they end up regretting it. Even if they do make the right choice, they may or may not get their kids back and have to live with the guilt.

Before Steve read Mark's lie detector test results, Marion, similar to what Steve has done in previous or future episodes, would ask Mark to confess his misdeeds, which he keeps denying, although she knows the truth, but still demands he confess.
I believe that whether Mark confesses or denies of violating the two boys, Marion would still want to take him down.
She knew the shit was happening. Why would she keep letting her kids go to the dads house? Every adult in this story is horrible.
The mother did mention when she saw the pictures, her current husband kicked Mark out, and seeing the images made her realize everything that was happening was at the father's house.
She did want to set things right.

The kids were abused by Billy before he and Marion were divorced.
Between after the divorce and before coming on the show, Marion was in the hospital due to kidney issues, and Billy kidnapped the kids and went into hiding where he would abuse them.
For 4.5 years, Marion devoted herself to finding the kids. By the time, she found them, she was shocked to see how hurt her kids were. She got custody of them, and Billy’s kids with his new wife.
Three years after appearing on the show, Billy died of cancer.
Billy being abusive should have been mentioned on the show, and everyone, including Steve Wilkos and his staff would be disgusted at him.

You can look at this man and make your own assumptions based on his image which is that of someone who shouldn't be alone around kids at any given time LET ALONE YOUR OWN. For both of the parents to just openly welcome this stranger claiming to be a cop no questions asked in their home is negligent. Only a minute in and I’m pissed people allow their children around someone they love when they’ve only known them a couple months. You might love someone, but kids always come first.
Regarding Mark, the parents met him only 8 months prior to coming on the show, so that doesn't make him a family friend.

I'm an afterschool teacher now, and have worked in childcare for about 5 or 6 years. Those text messages made me nauseous. The dad should be in jail with Mark. Parents don't text like that, let alone people like Mark.

From the full episode, Mark did buy two cell phones for the two boys, but the parents questioned it and the mom took them away, but she might have given them back to them with few restrictions. Those text messages are just wrong for sure. The dad does need to be jailed for being abusive (which he was before the show). It’s too late for Billy to go to jail because he died of cancer three years after appearing on the show.

@@amybess Same. However, things got worse for them from what I heard from the mother’s sister on Facebook. The mother is with a man who is abusing her and her kids have a lot of issues. Marion mentioned that her kids were going going to suffer for the rest of their lives because of what Mark has done when she demanded him to confess to his crimes to which he denies before Steve read his results which proves that Mark is truly guilty.

Unfortunately, those kids are not doing well as adults due to what happened. As for Billy, he was abusive before the show, and three years after the show, he died of cancer. I do hope those kids do get well.
