    Screen print on spandex can seem a little terrifying, but follow along and I'll show you the biggest pain in the butt is just loading the garment.

      I am praying to the screen gods that this is not your prospective 14,000 pc. order. Great vid and real smart to flash that stretchy stuff before peeling it off.

      Thank you!!! It definitely was not. LOL, If that were the case we would just buy the pallets needed for the auto. We don't do a whole lot of leg and long sleeve printing to justify the pallets at the moment.

    Hi Mikey, thanks for the tips, actually i just want to know the conveyor speed which you set 270F? Also i had a big problem printing on polyester dye fabrics, can you please suggest which the best heat for polyester dye fabrics? I'm using INKUIN brand ink also i mixed white with stretch base also i print anti migration grey base below the white ink still having problem like after 3days it's becoming bleeding fabric color on top of the white printing please advise

    Hi! I’m getting a tiny screen of my logo for my swimwear. Can you suggest a good ink and additive? Or where to get it? I’m not needing a bunch as it’s a small design. Also you can’t mix this in advance correct? Another question your hitting it with heat correct, is there a certain cure time?

    What do you use to make the surface tacky without leaving residue on the garment?
    Very informative. Thank you! 😊

      Any time! We like to use a spreadable water based adhesive. Does well, once dried. Tacky with no mess.

      Use a low mesh, 85 or 110 so the microbeads can pass through. Add a little stretch additive. Print flash print and you should be good.

      It has either a 26" or 28" wide belt and is 8ft long. Ours is a little dated. I'd reach out to Anatol because they have touch screen driers for about the same price.

      You can. Just pull the garment off and set it on the pallet, and check that it gets to the correct temp.

    Had this same brand , total fail . I want to confirm mixing nylond bind and stretch add . Could that been the reason ???? I kept getting cracking

    • @mikeydesignssilkscreen473
      @mikeydesignssilkscreen473  2 роки тому

      You don't want to use nylon bind on spandex. The stretch additive and regular ink is enough. Nylon bind would be good for things such as bags where it needs a little more durability. Nylon by nature is a pretty stiff material.

    Hey Matt, is there a reason why u used a high mesh screen? Im assuming it was 230 because it was yellow mesh. Just wondering if there was any reason behind that or if a high mesh is required in printing spandex. Thanks for the video man. This is great stuff here.

    • @mikeydesignssilkscreen473
      @mikeydesignssilkscreen473  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks! I use higher mesh screens so it's not a bullet proof print. This print was done with a 196 to give it a softer hand.

    with them stretching so tight on the pallet, do you really need to have it really tacky?

    • @mikeydesignssilkscreen473
      @mikeydesignssilkscreen473  4 роки тому

      You do to keep them in place. Especially if they're pricey. Wouldn't want to have to reprint and take the hit on replacements. Even though they're stretched a little, they can still shift trying to contract. If you know what I mean. :)

    • @kevinwallis2194
      @kevinwallis2194 4 роки тому

      @@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 yeah , the reason I asked is they seemed really tight. I had a few shirts stick when I was trying to get them on right and it caused the design to be warped...lol. I'm selling junk shirts for printers to use as test prints... Lol I must have 100 on the floor...but on a bright note, I haven been throwing things...

    Here in Brazil there is a special paint for this type of mesh, I work a lot with Praia Surf fashion, the paint is ready and water-based without the need for an additive in it, it stretches like an elastic, I will leave her technical bulletin here .
