    Keurig Brewers are expensive initially, but I have found them to be awesome. I picked mine up in a thrift shop for $10 and am super dedicated to it. Pop in a coffee pods, press a button and your coffee brews in about a minute. No more playing with filters and coffee pots.
    If you have access to a Sam's Club, they sell cases of coffee pods for relatively inexpensive prices. 100 count (100 cups of coffee) for somewhere between $20-30.
    I buy "mixed" boxes of coffee pods off of Amazon/eBay which are a random gaggle of different flavors.
    You can get tea pods, cappuccino, hot chocolate in all different flavors.
    The Keurig has an internal heating coil which keeps water hot at all times.
    The newest "Vue" Keurig can brew up to 18oz I think.
    Your vlog is awesome!

    Man I am digging it! I did screen printing long ago for a top rated operation and watching your videos brings back some memories and gives me some great laughs remembering being an ink monkey. I'm thinking about throwing a small almost guerilla (as in totally salvage and scavenge materials to diy just to see if its viable) print shack together so your videos are tasty knowledge nuggets of food for thought. Coffee! The machine is almost inconsequential but the bean is non negotiable. Here are my top three that do not dismay. Death Wish coffee company is my top dog and go to java. Whether its the Death Wish robust or less dark Odin force Valhalla blend. Koffee Kult, their slogan, Be one of us. After enjoying their brew, yes I indeed will subscribe to the newsletter. Last but not least Black Rifle Coffee Co. I like the AK blend and I love the homegrown youtube ass commercials. If you allow it I would love to ship some of my top pick to your shop and you see for yourself. I don't work for them but I like to support what i enjoy and spread it all around to all the others enjoyable aspects I find in life. Rock.

    On the phones you could do a quick call forward to your cell while gone. Coffee maker in the shop we got a keurig. Easy for a quick cup and we use the breakfast blend. For Good Coffee I prefer the Chemex or a French press. Both of those take longer and you will need a grinder and scale.

    Primo Hot and cold bottom up cooler and heater with a built in K-Cup brewer. My favorite is the Hazelnut Cappuccino, though on the road I get French vanilla cappuccino. It;s more like drinking a cup of hot chocolate with a different flavor, but still gives the caffeine kick.

    I use a regular Mr. Coffee man. My wife and I got an expensive Keurig/Pot hybrid and it broke in like a month. Mr. Coffee has been going strong for a couple years. As far as coffee I like darker the better. But usually whatever is on sale, usually Columbian or espresso. Sometimes we will splurge and order some specialty kinds (Bones, Black Rifle, etc.)

    how do you like that chinese auto flash? did you ever find spare bulbs from it? back in the day i used to be into saltwater fish tanks...and bought china made lights for it...it saved a TON of money, and what i found worked well was swapping chinese bulbs with good brand name bulbs....and that made a huge difference. perhaps you can find some brand name bulbs and put them in the flash when they start burning out.

    Cam dude, cop a Bonavita if you want an automatic drip style coffee maker that makes really decent coffee for an affordable price... but if you wanna keep it even cheaper and also still make amazing coffee get a French press... you can get one $20 and just need to heat your water and grind your beans. Both can be done on the cheap. If you can, grind your beans right before you brew... it only takes a minute really but makes a big difference.
    If you prefer less sediment than a French press produces a simple pour over carafe will hit the spot too, and also still be very affordable. Both French press and pour over will put your average drip coffee to shame imho and are still the cheapest solutions for making a good cup of joe :)

      The Print Life So the first layer is white, 2nd black and 3rd white?

    • @joshuacrane
      @joshuacrane 5 років тому

      @@keithorlando3306 There are only two layers. The first layer is white. This second "layer" is used just for flattening down the ink and fibers.There's no design burned into the screen; it's just cured emulsion. He uses ink (white in this case) as lubrication so the squeegee doesn't trash the screen. Then he comes back with another hit of white with the same screen from the first layer.

      i was thinking of it too why put ink in it? but i realized its hard to use the squeegee if its dry, so the ink is in there just to make the squeegee slide i assume ^^ yeah probably thats the reason ^^

    • @joshuacrane
      @joshuacrane 5 років тому

      @@doymountain1006 Yep, the ink is used as lubrication otherwise the squeegee would trash the screen.

    Cam, looks like you are printing with an Antec Legend. Is that right? If so, why do you like it over other manual presses?

      I bought it used years ago, But it is a great press because of the super light throw weight and the micros are pretty dang good.

      The Print Life Awesome. We are just getting started and we bought a Legend. I know the press doesn't cure all, just felt like easier registration would lessen the intimidation of learning how to screen print. Anyway, appreciate your vlog.

    You want info on “coffee”.... ask Farmboy Graphics in New York. He even roasts his own! I dont drink coffee but he makes me want to reconsider it.

    You Cam, if you want REAL, restaurant barista style coffee, you don't use a coffee machine. No, coffee machines are for people that don't actually like coffee, but want something horrible to drink when they have company over. 😉
    Anyway, since you've shown me the way to print, I'll show you the easy way to coffee.
    First, you'll need three things besides the coffee itself.
    1. Bean Grinder
    2. French Press
    3. Tea Kettle
    These are all you'll need. Next is your coffee. Your going to want to focus on Whole bean from now on, don't ever buy ground coffee again. And there's actually a reason for NEVER BUYING GROUND COFFEE AGAIN, besides the price being higher, and the coffee not being its freshest, the package will usually contain added fillers to increase weight, so you'll get tasty twigs, bark and other not coffee bits. Yeah, your basically being charged more for less coffee that isn't fresh and contains fill... No Cam, artisans deserve better than that lol.
    Back to the brew.
    Fill up your kettle with water and put it on the stove. While that heats up, you grind your beans fresh. Once the beans are ground, scoop out a couple generous spoonfuls into the empty French Press, then wait for the boiling water. Once the water is ready, slowly pour it over the ground beans in the press, then put the press together, and slowly push the press handle down (usually half way, then a few soft and short up and down pulls to mix better), let this steep for a few minutes. While it's steeping, I usually get my cup ready with some raw sugar (raw is the only sugar worth putting in your body, all the rest, especially artificial sweeteners of any kind, bad news.. Also, no milk or creamers, just god damn awesome COFFEE!). After that, pour the coffee in the cup, stir and serve. Welcome to heaven!
    The flavor is better than any trendy coffee shop brew. It's so fresh, and just the way you like it. It's the perfect 5 minute routine to start your day around!
    Instead of spending money on a cheap consumer coffee machine that is guaranteed to waste coffee, go Pro with this cheap barista setup. Trust me, it's worth it, your worth it! 😘

    Have you ever tried the action engineering manual roller?

    • @ThePrintLife
      @ThePrintLife  6 років тому

      No but in my opinion I don't think it would provide the downward force necessary to really push the fibers down. just stick with a squeegee.

      So i from what I could tell your flattening screen was just a screen full of emulsion that you used to flatten the image, but it looked like there was a softhand base or something on the screen? I'm new to screen printing and have been killing myself trying to get crispy clean prints and to print white on dark garments without laying down 7+ swipes of ink.
