The date stamp on the neck heel doesn’t mean “5th July”. The 5 denotes that it’s a Precision Bass neck. A Jazz bass neck would have a 7 instead. I believe that the color difference under the pick guard is due to Fender not spraying the red along the bottom edge of the front of the body because it wouldn’t be visible. Probably just a cost-saving exercise.
I prefer the black nylon tape-wound bass strings. (D'ADDARIO ETB92) They give ideal combination of warm, deep tones with an ultra-smooth feel. So they are not rubber. The head cam is a bit disturbing to watch. Way too much movement - suggest a fixed camera.
Soon as I saw the headstock I knew it was definitely close to 70s era because of the headstock logo design meaning 69 without even checking the neck
