FROZEN SOLID | Winter Fly Fishing in Vermont

Much like 2023, this year hasn't proven fruitful for ice fishermen here in the north country. Thankfully, there are some alternate activities that can prove just as rewarding. On this outing I took a subscriber, Eben, out to a tailwater stretch of river in central Vermont, where he has been producing some very nice trout all winter. Both of us had a blast and managed to move a few fish in the process!

One of the better spots in the summer too! I always enjoy going there when the bigger rivers warm up because the water really doesn’t get much warmer than 60 at any point. Definitely will back there next winter to film some more content. Thanks for checking out the video my friend! 😎 🎣

Thanks Pete! I was out all weekend and I was better off not even trying. Only managed a few fish and even got caught in a thunderstorm yesterday on the ice, that was a first for me! ⛈️
